There's almost no reason not to use On + Boost for Reflex, unless power/heat is a concern. To sum up what Reflex even is it has to be understood that the CPU prepares frames for the GPU to render, and these two components work asynchronously. Unless dictated by the driver or game or other force they will try to push out frames as fast as they can. We should also understand what a bottleneck even is. If you're CPU bottlenecked than your GPU is being held back by your CPU. Vice versa in a GPU bound scenario. This is especially important when considering the relationship that the CPU must first conceptualize/prepare a frame before the GPU can fully render it. For the longest time the common sentiment was that it's better to be GPU bottlenecked than CPU bottlenecked. Your GPU is probably the most expensive component in your system so the thought of it being held back by a cheaper CPU wasn't good. However it was relatively recently discovered that being GPU bottlenecked comes with the penalty of noticeably increased input latency. Why is this? In the case of a GPU bottleneck your CPU is not going to wait to prepare frames for your GPU. If it were to do this it would result in a lower framerate end result where your CPU is just wasting time. The default behavior instead is for your CPU to actually prepare multiple frames that are then put into a queue so that the GPU always has something to work on. This results in a higher framerate end result, but consequently increased latency. This is because the time that the frame was "conceptualized" to the time it has been actually displayed on your screen has actually increased. It has to be understood that what we are seeing on screen is never what's happening at that exact moment but, instead, a frame that has taken tens or hundreds of milliseconds to be prepared and displayed. Imagine a timeline where the very first point is the exact instant you click the mouse to fire your weapon, and the end point is the instant you firing your weapon actually gets shown on screen. We want this to be as short as possible. The shorter this timeline is the closer it approaches "realtime" and more responsive our game feels. In a GPU bound scenario this timeline gets artifically stretched, and this is perceived as input latency. in its attempt to always provide the CPU with something to do it queues multiple frames and this results in frames being "held onto" for prolonged periods of time before they're actually displayed. This results in the weird situation where framerate (FPS) can be higher because the CPU isn't waiting for the GPU in order to start working on a frame, but input latency can be higher/worse because that frame is being held onto and is less representative of "realtime" The way we fix this is to actually incur a slight CPU bottleneck instead, typically with a framerate cap. If the CPU is the bottleneck it isn't pushing frames into a queue because the GPU is fast enough to keep up. Reflex is, in a funny sort of way, an intelligent framerate cap. It's an attempt from the driver and the game engine to cap the framerate at the best possible point where you have the slightest CPU bottleneck, resulting in the highest FPS possible without incuring a GPU bottleneck that would increase input latency. On + Boost simply does what the description says and, since your GPU might be clocking higher, the possible framerate increases because you now have more room before a GPU bottleneck occurs. If you read this your a G.

Always heard there was some DLSS deniers out there but this is my first time encountering one. Crazy to say FidelityFX CAS is better than DLSS and that when using DLSS it will "say the frame rate is higher but its really not " 🤨 It says its higher because it is... the game is rendering at a lower resolution. If you have an Nvidia GPU the best ways to increase performance is to enable DLSS, even at quality mode, specially if you have lower end cards. DLSS is an AI upscaling technique, FidelityFX CAS is just a sharpning techique. If you have performance to spare you like this guy and his 4090, then you could use FidelityFX CAS or even better , Nvidia DLAA which he didnt even mentioned.

Real
@@FrostyBunnybottom na 3070 is good enough even for hell divers I play with rx6600 and just cod that lags and stutters
I got a 3050
I've got a 4070 with an i7 processor. Feel like I shouldn't have to go through all this just to get over 150fps. Crazy. But thanks for the help man
You the goat for real went from 250fps average on my 4070ti super to 300
earned sub for sure
With frame gen?
How, I just got the same card but I am sitting around 200 fps w/ a 5700x3d,

I love videos like this. "Just keep your render resolution at 100%". Meanwhile, 90% of the people watching this video are watching it because they are on outdated hardware and the game probably has already lowered their render resolution by default but now they are going to absolutely tank their FPS by turning it to 100%.
Yooo broo just got done wit the setting they look smooth asf 🔥🔥
Love the video. I wish you would go more into depth in some of the choices you made by explaining what they do. most of the time you do an amazing job explaining the setting enough for me to make an informed decision about how I want my game to run.
Woooowwww
Just went from near 70-80% cpu usage down to 25- 30%
God bless you, and may God damn the latest driver's, newest one I've found to work on my system was 560.70 ( gtx 1660 super, 6 gb vram, and a i5 10400f, using ssd)
Using this for warzone and it’s amazing thank you!
thank you bro , my game now see better thanks a lot
Thank you. Awesome video!
i never thought with a 4090 i would need to look up a video on how to not have crashing fps
Bro right? I have a 4090 and i7 13700kf and barely get over 200, will try to tinker around with things when I get home though and see if this video doesn't the comments say it does for them
That’s crazy I just got my 4060ti and I’m getting 250-260
bros a tech wiz thank you so much
I don’t know how to thank you , my fps was 193 and now 210 🤩
You always got the best content, thanks as usual!
used this video and went from 100 fps to 36, thanks
I think dlss is broken atm because it automatically goes back to fedelity cas
ruclips.net/video/UsXuaSacJaI/видео.html
mine as well
Same here
The dlss setting won’t stay enabled unless you set the dlss sharpness to 0 I don’t know if it’s bugged but this is what worked for me
Is dlss best for gaming on nvidia gpu?
Bro thanks for the help, went from 100fps to over 240fps 👍
Thanks boss! Doubbled my FPS instant!
Very helpful video dude. :)
I have a water cooled 4090/14900k - 48gigs of ddr5 8000. (1440p - 360fps monitor). Is there a way to go into the BO6 settings to increase the frame cap from 250 to 360? My rig can easily push past it.
go in display tab and change custom frame rate limit to unlimited
fantastic video
Helped a lot. Thank you!
this helped me a lot
Great video! Thanks
Hey T cap thank you for the video my game looks good now!! Please make a specific video for audio setting and EQ optimisation for better footsteps
I was waiting for a config video. Thanks tcap. 🍀
I just want to point out that the Steam version and the audio for Black Ops 6 is currently bugged at the moment. Turning the Voice Channel to "Party Only" then turning it off boosted my fps significantly. Also switching to the Battlenet version of this game, I'm now anywhere from 240-300 on Warzone and 260-350 in multiplayer. Before I couldn't even break over 200 in multiplayer and Warzone was a slug fest averaging around 100 FPS sometimes dipping into the low 80s. Hope this helps someone!
helped for wz before now bo6🔥🔥🔥🔥
thanks mike the situation !
Best setting ever bro
Great video g
Settings were super helpful for fps boost and better performance. But I am now getting huge black boxes where the impact of some explosions should be due to changing the config files I believe
How can I fix this without losing the performance I gained from this
Try restarting shaders :)
None of those settings in the config files should mess with that, but you could always reset them and see if that helps
@@TCaptainX resetting my shaders did fix this for me
Took my FPS from 148 to 370......Insane
Wow my fps are all exactly the same as yours in benchmark crazy
ty so much for the help.
Sapphire nitro+ RX7900XTX 7800x3D. Runs 280-330 fps with lowest drop 280!! This is without UV/OC and without Frame Generation. I will try your settings. Hope it brings more fps!
I have a dell G15 with 32gb ram and a 4060 with an i7 I would usually run the previous cod with no problem and even with bo6 I would get pretty good frames but for some reason it started to drop down to 40’s and 50’s for fps when I would usually get around 80-120fps this definitely helped a lot thanks! I’m getting around 120-150 FPS on campaign with high to normal settings 💯💯
This game is not optimized nearly as well as previous ones. Hopefully some updates will improve that!
what should I say with an alienware with rtx 4080 and intel i9?? continuous stuttering and fps drops, I've tried them all, but after a few games everything becomes miserable again. At this point I'm selling the laptop and getting a console...
@@got2084 First mistake was getting a alienware they limit there hardware and reduces fps
@@IRONADEE It may seem strange to you, but alienware provided me with a custom video driver being developed specifically to limit these problems and I must say that I solved it. very often they are never hardware problems but poor software optimization.
TCap my GOAT as usual.
Tried everything on Reddit. This video actually sorted my performance out so much better gained 30/40fps!
Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Thank you for this vid
Let’s see how it looks just did it rn hopefully there’s no lag lol
Thanks for this really nice tutorial , should i make HDR on !
Leave it off!
I have the same hardware and get avg of 218 1% lows of 152 with these settings
I literally have the exact same set up as you (Discluding the monitor but I also have a 4k 240hz that can switch to 1080P 480hz) and copied everything you did and said yet my FPS goes to 70Ish in warzone but when I open up COD my FPS is low to low medium ish 200’s. Where did I mess up or go wrong to not match your FPS? Can someone please help me I beg of you!!!
Man I’m having the same problem brother please let me know how you fixed it when u do i beg of you
Thank you 😊
I9 13900k, RTX 4090, 4k 240hz OLED. 3rd settings video I've come across, but the 1st one that gave me the results I was looking for. Thanks man!
Upgrade to 360Hz and get dual GPU. Also could do with faster CPU there -.- Do you run Linux too?
@@spawnterror ??? there are no 360hz 4k monitors out there at the moment, and dual gpus??? what?? its 2024 sli is completley outdated, i dont even think cod bo6 supports sli. also the i9 13900k was the highest end intel cpu when the 4090 came out
I personally play on 800dpi with a 10 sense in game.. might change that up
Anyone found the clouded settings? Today the update effed me up man
Tcap tell me what guns I should be grinding to get ready for warzone lol
every time i open bo6 my settings go to default i don't have the option to turn off cloud setting its not there its starting to get annoying

Search ypur bo6 game and go to properties and take it off read only if its on read only and you change settings while it is still ticked on read only it will change settings back to default but if you have the read only in property settings unticked it will keep your settings once you changed them ✌️😙
The thing is when I try to go on control panel I don’t see that setting for some reason
I followed all the steps now every game I go into multiplayer or zombies my screen is black?
thats a game bug happening unrelated to this. you just have to restart your game and it should fix it

Just fyi under setting digital vibrance.. you are on green chanel and not all. Might wanna fix that . 😊
Is there a way to minimize muzzle flash without using an attachment for that? I think I remember being able to do that in the game files for warzone but idk
only problem i have now is it freezes for a sec not a lot just here and there other then that this helped a lot, but the freezing is annoying

Can someone help me out
I have the same GPU and CPU, used the exact settings and im sitting around 140-150fps lol
Well ram is also a major factor, but I can’t imagine your fps is that bad with the best cpu/gpu combo there is? Unless you’re playing on 4k.
If not you’ve got some serious issues with your PC that should be addressed
Trying to look for the file but i cant find that 24 folder you have, mine just shows the ones with txt0, txt1 and m. Should i use one of the files i listed or?? i didnt see any comments so far talking about this or if the truckers took that specific file away lol LMK! TY awesome video btw cheers
Me too
Cheers! Will this work for Warzone?
Most likely yes because of cod being on the same application now
If I have a Intel i5-9600K, which doesn't have any performance cores, but has 6 total cores, do I put 5 or -1?
Hey man, I think you may have an error for "When Limiting Blood Effects", the number of Milliseconds between effects... Shouldnt it be set to 2000 so there is more time inbetween the blood coming out of the person you are shooting. Having it set to 1 means that every millisecond there is an effect, 2000 would be every 2000 milliseconds. (I could be wrong)
im i the only one when i play zombies the zombies are marked with a red border and allies with a blue one? i cant find any tutorial or solution to this and is very annoying
Go to settings, interface, and click readability. Scroll down to High contrast mode and click the plus; turn off the enemies section or just turn off high contrast mode.
I only have the balanced plan into the power plan settings, no high performance for me? I’m running a rtx3070ti with a i9. Also have a liano cooler against the heat but I’m still looking for the mistake i make in all those settings. When i started a private match against bots everything was perfect! Until i went to nuketown 24/7..
If you have performance to spare you like this guy and his 4090, then you could use FidelityFX CAS or even better , Nvidia DLAA which he didnt even mentioned.
it adds latency even though it also adds more FPS.
