There's almost no reason not to use On + Boost for Reflex, unless power/heat is a concern. To sum up what Reflex even is it has to be understood that the CPU prepares frames for the GPU to render, and these two components work asynchronously. Unless dictated by the driver or game or other force they will try to push out frames as fast as they can. We should also understand what a bottleneck even is. If you're CPU bottlenecked than your GPU is being held back by your CPU. Vice versa in a GPU bound scenario. This is especially important when considering the relationship that the CPU must first conceptualize/prepare a frame before the GPU can fully render it. For the longest time the common sentiment was that it's better to be GPU bottlenecked than CPU bottlenecked. Your GPU is probably the most expensive component in your system so the thought of it being held back by a cheaper CPU wasn't good. However it was relatively recently discovered that being GPU bottlenecked comes with the penalty of noticeably increased input latency. Why is this? In the case of a GPU bottleneck your CPU is not going to wait to prepare frames for your GPU. If it were to do this it would result in a lower framerate end result where your CPU is just wasting time. The default behavior instead is for your CPU to actually prepare multiple frames that are then put into a queue so that the GPU always has something to work on. This results in a higher framerate end result, but consequently increased latency. This is because the time that the frame was "conceptualized" to the time it has been actually displayed on your screen has actually increased. It has to be understood that what we are seeing on screen is never what's happening at that exact moment but, instead, a frame that has taken tens or hundreds of milliseconds to be prepared and displayed. Imagine a timeline where the very first point is the exact instant you click the mouse to fire your weapon, and the end point is the instant you firing your weapon actually gets shown on screen. We want this to be as short as possible. The shorter this timeline is the closer it approaches "realtime" and more responsive our game feels. In a GPU bound scenario this timeline gets artifically stretched, and this is perceived as input latency. in its attempt to always provide the CPU with something to do it queues multiple frames and this results in frames being "held onto" for prolonged periods of time before they're actually displayed. This results in the weird situation where framerate (FPS) can be higher because the CPU isn't waiting for the GPU in order to start working on a frame, but input latency can be higher/worse because that frame is being held onto and is less representative of "realtime" The way we fix this is to actually incur a slight CPU bottleneck instead, typically with a framerate cap. If the CPU is the bottleneck it isn't pushing frames into a queue because the GPU is fast enough to keep up. Reflex is, in a funny sort of way, an intelligent framerate cap. It's an attempt from the driver and the game engine to cap the framerate at the best possible point where you have the slightest CPU bottleneck, resulting in the highest FPS possible without incuring a GPU bottleneck that would increase input latency. On + Boost simply does what the description says and, since your GPU might be clocking higher, the possible framerate increases because you now have more room before a GPU bottleneck occurs. If you read this your a G.

Always heard there was some DLSS deniers out there but this is my first time encountering one. Crazy to say FidelityFX CAS is better than DLSS and that when using DLSS it will "say the frame rate is higher but its really not " 🤨 It says its higher because it is... the game is rendering at a lower resolution. If you have an Nvidia GPU the best ways to increase performance is to enable DLSS, even at quality mode, specially if you have lower end cards. DLSS is an AI upscaling technique, FidelityFX CAS is just a sharpning techique. If you have performance to spare you like this guy and his 4090, then you could use FidelityFX CAS or even better , Nvidia DLAA which he didnt even mentioned.

So I’ve done all this and when I’m in a game my fps drops massively to like 40/50 fps… I only have a monitor that’s is 75hz.. is that the problem or could it be something else? Thank you
Hz is another way to say 1/s or just "per second". Your monitor can change what is shown 75 times per second. Your gpu (graphics card) will give you 40-50 new "pictures" or frames per second. So if you want to use your monitor to the fullest potential then you have to tweak your Settings or if you already have maybe get a new gpu
Also misinformation about bottleneck because a bottleneck is when a CPU or GPU is pegged to 100% then that is the bottleneck just because one has higher usage doesn't make it a bottleneck

Anyone found the clouded settings? Today the update effed me up man
Looking for some help on this issue. I have a GeForce RTX 4060 | 32GB DDR4 | 1440p monitor and have extreme lag on this game. I just purchased it and haven’t even played it yet but I’m lagging bad even on the menu. I’m having to click controller buttons numerous times just for it to register. I’m new to pc gaming so is there any help and fixes to this? Will this video help with this issue?
shaders installing? try restarting them in graphics settings maybe
Does HDR have that big of an impact on FPS?
no Zero unless you use RTX HDR, this option is a little performance hungry. 5-10 fps
I’ve got a 2070 dint think I need a fps boost when I’m already getting 240
I personally play on 800dpi with a 10 sense in game.. might change that up
im i the only one when i play zombies the zombies are marked with a red border and allies with a blue one? i cant find any tutorial or solution to this and is very annoying
Go to settings, interface, and click readability. Scroll down to High contrast mode and click the plus; turn off the enemies section or just turn off high contrast mode.
15:50 my cpu doesnt show that it has any performance cores on the intel website I have a i5 8400. Should I just keep the setting the same?
If it just says total cores then treat it like a ryzen and divide by 2
this video has helped with COD, but any time I do these settings not only does my one drive get messed up, but anytime i turn off my pc ALL my settings reset to default, even with the cloud save thing that was told to be turned off, anyone know how to fix this? would rather not deal with this every single time i want to play COD

If you have performance to spare you like this guy and his 4090, then you could use FidelityFX CAS or even better , Nvidia DLAA which he didnt even mentioned.
it adds latency even though it also adds more FPS.

every time i open bo6 my settings go to default i don't have the option to turn off cloud setting its not there its starting to get annoying

Search ypur bo6 game and go to properties and take it off read only if its on read only and you change settings while it is still ticked on read only it will change settings back to default but if you have the read only in property settings unticked it will keep your settings once you changed them ✌️😙
what driver are u on?
I run a 7800x3d with a 4060 Ti and my gpu is 100% bottleneck, meanwhile my cpu is at 0%, I knew my cpu was really good but I didn't know it was THAT good. I thought a 4060 Ti would be a good pair, so i thought. Looks like I might just have to get a 4080 super or 4090.

like many people have already said, any fix for packet burst yet?
no thats just the servers
There is no way to fix it, it’s activision not ur pc
That’s your either your internet or cod related.
Turning the on demand texture streaming as low as possible may help though

How do I add Call of Duty to graphics settings, when I am playing over the xbox app?
Does anyone know why my fps is extremely low on call of duty? My fps is averaging 60-90 and I have a Nvidia GeForce 2080 super with a i7-9700k with 16Gb of ram on windows 10 and I have every graphics setting on low for better performance. It's been this way for the last two call of duties. Also, my GeForce is updated to the latest driver and I always make sure it's updated to that.
If your gbu not that good don’t use 2k resolution , try 1920-1080
