I'm currently on the waitlist for the OP41 and there are 4 reasons why I prefer it to the DJ. 1. All brushed bracelet, which to me makes it way more sporty 2. no date, I wanted a watch I can just throw on without needing to set am/pm 3 the price, its cheaper I understand for a dress watch how the DJ is better but for everyday watch give me the OP
I agree the all brushed bracelet is more sporty and better for everyday, the polished center links makes it more dressy. Also the center of the clasp is also polished making it a scratch magnet! Good luck I hope they call soon
I have the O.P.41mm in Black and it’s my favorite watch (by far…) with a suit or casual wear it looks masculine. I think my favorite aspect of the watch it looks great from the side. Unlike almost every other watch, one doesn’t need to be looking directly at the face to be a ‘good-looking' watch. I wear it six days a week, rotating my other watches on Sunday.
The OP 41 is a better looking watch than the 40 Explorer 1. Arguably, the OP 41 is one of the best Rolex's available with most versatility--dressed up or down.
I just got the Oyster perpetual with blue face. It was a touch choice between that and the explorer. I think the OP is just more versatile, More dressy but still sporty.
I wish online reviewers would stop with the nonsense. "At $6,400 it's a great value" or "At this price your getting a deal". Please. In the end it is a good watch. Exceptionally well made and finished. But can we please stop being delusional? It's a stainless steel watch for $6,400. Think about it.
If you think about it all luxury items are over priced and don't represent any "value" if you want value for you money buy a casio or timex and call it a day
Just buy what you like. People hate Teslas and I have two. I also have a BMW M3 and am shopping for a Porsche 911S. I collect watches and have several Rolexes, Panerai, Omega etc. Just buy what makes you happy.
I was on the Explorer I train... but after seeing them in person - the Explorer is a bit busy - and the OPs applied crown is just amazing. Much harder to dress up an Explorer with those large numbers - OP is more versatile.
Its 21mm lug width (sorry I am a lug width vigilante 😂). I love the simplicity, double batons, no date/cyclops (and 21mm lug width ; ) but it's very underwhelming if you expect too much from it. The green is too matt, and the blue too sunburst IMO. Am not keen on the bezel shape (very light reflective too) or tiny crown and its a shame its not just chamfered with a bigger crown like the EX1/DJ. Something about a basic Rolex is very cool though. I feel the same about the Tudor Ranger.
Not sure if you still have access to this OP41. If can you tell me if the new Tudor rubber strap and endlinks fit it please? Both are 21mm lug width. TIA.
Ah ok, thanks for responding. I believe the latest DJ41 might also have a 21mm lug width too. Not sure if you have one? Presumably DJ and OP share same case….
I’m currently on a Waiting list for this OP Green 41 & or the 36 in several AD’s in Australia With virtually no chance of getting one I’m considering buying the BB 41 Burgundy on rubber strap in the meantime My eyesight isn’t great & need a daily wearer which has great Lume & a dial that’s easy to read. I’d think either would be great to dress up or wear casual Which would you recommend as the better overall Lume & Dial legibility?
I do think that the BB 41 Burgundy would be a better choice since you don't have to wait. It also has great lume and it is very legible the rubber strap is great I will have a strap review soon on it. I also just picked up the jubliee bracelet for it that I'll review soon too!
@@HawaiianHorology Thanks! makes the choice even easier now. Look forward to the strap review. I was actually thinking of buying the jubilee as well. Jubilee would be perfect for dressier occasions and rubber for casual That or pickup an Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Both would cost me around the same price of the OP.
Hello, I have the BB41 and the OP41 and I wear the BB wayyyy more. It feels more substantial on the wrist built to be worn. Don’t get me wrong the Rolex is fantastic, but I definitely have to have a reason to wear it.
I had this in blue and liked it. I sold it because I had too many blue watches. I thought about getting this is green as I enjoyed the comfort/case as a daily wear. I do like the mint green on the datejust better, but I'm not a fan of the cyclops. Too noticeable for me. The yellow is also awesome, but it got discontinued as well.
I sold 3 blue dials I had ... the three I kept were a JLC polaris chronograph, Seamaster Heritage 300 75th, and a Grand Seiko Omiwatari. @@HawaiianHorology
Your springbar of the explorer is bend. Better go to the AD for a new one for both sides, before you drop your watch while walking and the watch will be damaged.
My dear,if you regret your op in green i can send you my direction and or you send me free this watch,i will accept this deception with pleasure helping you stoping suffering like this,or i exchange it with my modest but iconic rolex perpetual airking 34mm,let me know, sincerly, best regards

Black OP41 was allotted to me 1 weeks after requesting. If you want other dials, thats where the waiting game is.
wow that's really fast congrats awesome watch!
I too prefer the OP to the DJ and even Explorer. It's such a clean simple look!! Can't go wrong with that.
no point spending more money for anything else, the beauty of this is its simplicity, it being cheap is just a bonus
the OP is an awesome watch!
Cheap? 7000 for a steel watch ? Are you delusional? You would buy a car that would run on Magical Fairy dust if they told you, sheep.

I have the same in 36mm, you made the right choice. Unless it’s a vintage Explorer, it won’t warrant the same amount of demand.
