Absolutely loved the drone shots! Amazing video as always. Glad you ID’d that pineapple fish for us, have never seen one before!
Thanks mate glad you liked it. haha no worries it was the first time i've managed to film them so I was pretty excited. Cool looking fish.
Great vid mate. Under water drone is very interesting
Thanks heaps mate the drone footage is so good hey
Amazing Video
Thanks heaps
Just found this channel. Definitely some of the best fishing content on YT. I rwally appreciate the info on tackle and rigging.
Thanks mate really appreciate the kind words and glad you like the content. Cheers
Excellent work mate, great to see Jewies in such good numbers and your different perspectives offer a much more interesting insight into what we chase out wide.
Well done 👍
Thanks mate. its so good seeing them in their natural environment like that. I prefer to film them like that like than catch them. Cheers
These videos are next level, they got everything
Thanks heaps mate glad you're enjoying them
Great video mate!
Thankyou
Great video. The Cobia is a giant.
thanks mate
Hi Greg, an awesome twosome with the big snapper & big cobia, along with the other snapper shown looks like you had pretty good day. The drone footage is exceptional with those jew just schooling around and they don’t appear to be remotely interested in feeding on the footage. Say hello to the old man for me. 👍
Shane Mc
Thanks mate glad you liked it. Yeah it's crazy when they get lock jaw but not a bad thing to ensure future fish stocks. No worries will do mate. Cheers.
what an awesome session incredible underwater footage
Thanks mate glad you liked it. Cheers
Greg, you'll have to take me out fishing! 😂
haha haven't been asked that before lol.
WOW ! Just found this channel. That under water footage of the jewfish and reds just blows me away. I managed to get some underwater footage of the last jewfish I caught in the lake, but it's nothing compared to this. Hats off to you mate👍
Thanks mate glad you like them. Its not easy to get good underwater footage but when you do it's so rewarding. Cheers mate.
Hi Greg. Love your work! Drone footage is unbelievable!
thanks mate glad you like it. Cheers
Wow cool drone footage! and stonker Cobia!
Thanks mate glad you liked it. Cheers
Love your videos Greg, especially how much can be learnt from the underwater drone footage keep it up mate.👍
Thanks mate much appreciated and thanks heaps for the support. Cheers
Amazing day and great underwater footage mate.. those cobias are one of the hardest fighting fishing for their size and they don't find up until they are really done., very dangerous at close quarters too. Good job 👏
Thank you I'm glad you liked it. yes those Cobia play up big time.
Great catches mate, well done. Beast of a cobia!
Thanks mate
Nice Greg, those cobes are nuts. They look awesome underwater when they spiral up above a wreck. Speared a 40kg one once, ended up with a few cuts and bruises trying to wrestle it.
Thanks mate. That's a horse mate I couldn't imagine the chaos of spearing one lol
Another cracking vid shared to the tube mate 👍 I'm surprised you don't have gills ha ha
Thanks Scott and cheers for the support mate it much appreciated. haha sometimes i think I may have been a fish in my past life. I think about them way too much lol.
How cool is that drone footage. Thanks for the awesome content.
Thanks mate glad you liked it. Cheers
Love your work mate. Great content.
Glad you enjoy it!
Great footage mate 🤘🤘
Thanks mate much appreciated.
@@gregswickedfishing I’m running a new Riv 72 out of sanctuary cove so starting to work out the area the vids are really helpful 👍👍 thanks again
@@Captainbazz2 nice mate I'm jealous of your fishing platform lol. Glad my vids are helping mate.
Another awesome video mate. 🎣🎣🎣
Thanks mate much appreciated.
Best part was you stuffed after holding up the cobia Greg 😂
hahaha yeah thought you'd like that Foxy. lol
Awesome trip. Love the drone footage mate. And that cobia, get a saddle! 🙌🙌
Thanks mate much appreciated. haha yeah that cobia was a cracker. Cheers
Epic 🎉 that under water footage is so cool
Thanks mate it's not easy to get but when you end up with footage like that its all worth it.
Love your fishing vibes and style..I also watched some of your underwater footage. Great stuff. Love learning from you. Greetings from Bermuda...Keep keeping lines tight.😊
thank you for the kind words and support. It's much appreciated.
Awesome seeing the school of Jew ! Great footage !!
Cheers mate it's always cool seeing fish in their natural environment like that.
Awesome stuff Greg!
Thanks mate I appreciate it.
Very very cool footage Greg! Always informative. Keep it up mate
Thanks Shane glad you enjoyed it mate. Cheers
Best vid yet Greg, loved it!
Thanks mate that was a pretty cool day
Great video, and solid effort out there solo too! Definitely had the panics with a big cobe a long time ago.. 45min fight on 8kg gear and it snapped off on the transducer bracket trying to gaff it 😂🤦🏻♂️
Thanks mate. haha oh no that sucks mate. They do everything to get away those things.
Fantastic effort. Thanks for sharing
Cheers thanks for the support.
Absolutely brilliant video as always Greg! Some great snapper fishing there, and that cobia was a donkey 👌
I’m loving your underwater footage too. Do you have a theory on why the jewwies swim down and rub themselves on the sand? I’ve heard of them doing the same thing in surf gutters. Some fishos think that the worms smell their slime and poke their heads up, but that could be an old wives tale. It was interesting to see them do it in your video here.
Keep up the great work mate 🎣🙌
Thanks Will much appreciated mate. Mate I've witnessed jew, cod, red emperor and nannygai with this behavior so I think there's a little more to it than what you've mentioned. Cheers for the support mate.
Great underwater footage I really enjoyed watching keep them coming 😊
thanks mate glad you liked it. Cheers for the support.
Man, I’m loving these videos you’re doing 👌🏻
Thanks mate glad you like them. Thanks for the support.
What rod is that mate is it the venom pe 2-5 overhead jig?? Mate I have to say your videos are outstanding and very educational. Then I saw the drone footage and me and my 6 year son we mesmerised!! Keep up the great work
Hi Chris, yeah venom pe 2-5 but 7 foot long that one. I generally floatline with 7 footer and use the 6'6" for bottom bashing. Thanks mate I'm glad you and your son enjoyed it. Cheers
Wish we had good fish like that up here at Yeppoon
hahaha are you still winding everyone up lol. You've got some of the best fishing Australia has to offer :-)
@@gregswickedfishing I completely disagree. I’d love nothing better than to go out and catch a legal sized fish here, but I can’t.
@@anthonyleavey7514 i agree Yeppoon is crap fishing
11/10
Thanks mate
Mate that footage is incredible
thanks mate. Cheers
Watching your videos is both enjoyable and educational, Greg. Why do you prefer to use mono when float lining, is it because the line drifts down slower and the bait presents more naturally?
Thanks heaps Bruce I really appreciate the kind words mate. Yeah the mono has a slower sink rate and the fish feel a lot less when they grab the bait.
Loving your vids, great work. What boat are you fishing from ?
Thanks mate. I have a 7mtr Riptide plate boat and a 5.2 centre console as well.
Cracking day boys
thanks mate
Great footage. Any chance you could somehow share your settings for your gp1971f? TVG, sensitivity settings Etc I have the same unit and can't quite get it as clear as yours.
Thanks mate. Setting depend on transducer type and placement. Generally TVG on 1 or 2 and gain about as high as you can go particularly when you slow up
Bag limit for yaccas and slimies is still 50 in NSW , they must have changed it up in Qld
Correct mate.
Great video mate. Quick question. Is the drone footage live or recorded and what drone are you using. Cheers
Thanks mate. yes its live on your phone mate. Its a Fifish V6 drone.
@@gregswickedfishing cheers mate
Hey mate just found your channel a week ago and nearly watched all your vids they are awesome.
Have you got any forage of the Tiwi Pearl at Harry’s?
Thanks mate I'm glad you like them. I do but the water clarity wasn't very good. I will get some better footage soon mate. Cheers for the support.
Thanks mate your a legend keep up the good content love it
Greg why not have an electric on the front and spot lock on the fish. ?? I find mine invaluable.
I have one waiting to go on mate. Not sure if I will put it on this boat or get another boat built so weighing up my options at present. Killing me not having one on this boat. lol
do you have a video on you boat your using here? can you tell me me what size the tiny and outboard are please?@@gregswickedfishing
Wow brissy fishing at its finest!! Can I ask what rod and reel you were using?
thanks mate. The rod is a venom 7foot pe2-5 with an accurate reel.
Great footage. If you ever need someone to come out with you, I'm an army veteran on a DVA disability pension with cancer, happy to share the cost of fuel and bait. I'm in Ormiston.
Thanks Keith much appreciated mate. Sorry to hear mate I really feel for you. No problems mate I see what I can do for you. Send me an email with your details please mate. greg@wickedfishing.com.au
Brilliant as always.Greg how do you decide where to go when you are looking for new ground .
I have just moved to mid north coast and any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks mate. Generally I go looking where others wouldn't so i stay away from anything of interest on maps etc. its a long slow process but the best way to find isolated ground holding quality fish.
👍💯
You must be east coast?
So many pilchard here in WA
yes east coast and we get pilchards here as well but majority migrate up and down the coastline very close to the beaches
Hi Greg, great show as always. Are the drones you use available to purchase in Australia?
Thanks mate. Its a Fifish v6 mate. underwater.com.au/shop/fifish-v6-underwater-drone-vr-head-tracking.html
Hey Greg, great vid, whereabouts is this?
Out from the South passage bar off Brisbane mate
What pound leader do you use when you target snapper?
In that video I'm using 35lb all the way through mate.
What depth water roughly mate, i see it’s nice and blue so I’m guessing 40m plus,
Just over 50 mtrs of water there.
👍
Do you do charters?
No sorry
I know what you mean mate I gaffed a 40 kegger and it nearly dragged me over the side and bent the gaff in half. I am doing that next time.
hahaha yep it's bloody mayhem when you gaff one. I'm going to adopt this technique every time now lol.
Best in brissy
haha nah just doing my best to create some viewing content mate.
Those 2 fish schools merging together was that the new school and jack school or 2 schools of Jew
One school was the jew and jacks together at the start and the other school was the second big school of Jew.
What do you think the footage tells you about the behaviour of the Jewfish?
Typical Jewfish to be honest mate. You will often only catch one or two from a school like that at the best of times. Targeting them at night can make a big difference same goes for the dusk and dawn periods. When they don't want to feed they get a bad case of lockjaw.
lol giving way too much away
