Hey Greg, what was your plan for finding fish. I bought your dvd’s years ago but still curious how you plan your trips. I’ve almost finished building a boat (Bowdidge marine design) and still need a bit of help. Do you punch from a-b or do you sound along contours? TIA
Hi mate, Generally I start looking in places that have no point of interest like contours, shoals etc as I don't want to be searching in areas that people generally start looking or fishing in. This means loads of sounding and patience but its how I've always found the better quality fish.
They go into an esky under the floor for a day to bring the temps down and then get transferred into the big ice box on the deck and iced down. They will hold like that for a week no problems at all.
New Subscriber, Matey what are you carrying in the Blue Drum? A trip Dreams are made of and also where are you based out of? Really enjoyed the Video looking forward to seeing more. Cheers Garry
@@gregswickedfishing Really, we are on the Northside, I love actually finally finding people close to home in Australia because overseas has less relevance to us locally. I never knew those drums were ok with Fuel in them, much easier on the boat then a Gal 44 chipping everything it touches or rubs against. how did you go for fuel? plenty of reserves or get close.
Hi Hayden, I was running the new venom ocean warrior slow fall rod which is due for release soon. The model I was using was a RVSF1 Venom 60X Slow Fall Jig 1 PE 5 60-150g. For the full range click here. www.wilsonfishing.com/Products/Rods/Venom-Rods/Ocean-Warrior-Slow-Fall
Thanks mate. hahaha plenty of catties up that way unfortunately. Fishing in the paddock outside the islands mate. Still well on the inside of the reef up there.
Cool little video mate! Why tell people the general direction you are fishing? Hahaha coz when people watch this they are going to go up to shoal-water now too lmao And over time will just get more and more boats x just a thought ✌️
What a couple of amazing sessions
One of the better video's I've watched. A pleasure watching and listening to you guys.

Great video mate we get a lot of those big catfish off Northwest in the Fitzroy Trench but it's worse sifting through them for the other species

No doubt about ya mate, you can find them👍

Cheers for the support mate. The drum had fuel in it and I'm based in Brisbane mate.

What a start to a trip…$900 in go juice. Expectations would be high!
haha it already had fuel in it as well lol. Fish rich waters so no problem in finding quality fish if you follow some simple ideas
How good was that trip. Epic fishing mate
Thanks Stevo it was well within specs mate :-)
Awesome as always Greg what reel were you using looked like a a great great setup. Thanks for sharing sharing
Thanks mate. One is a jigging master pe5 and the other one is a shimano ocea jigger custom 3000
Hey Greg, what’s your rod and reel in the first part where dad gets the jew? Cheers mate

nice bro
Thanks mate
I’m a learning fisherman. Been in the bush. Now looking to catch some fish.
Great video again Greg. DO you normally drift these isolated rocks or anchor up? Cheers, Wags
Thanks mate. 95% of the time I drift fish mate.
Dont no whats more impressive, the reds or the catfish xD. Great watch, are you fishing inbetween reefs or outside?
Thanks mate. hahaha plenty of catties up that way unfortunately. Fishing in the paddock outside the islands mate. Still well on the inside of the reef up there.
The jewie quota sucks because those first couple Jew definitely died. My fisheries did a huge study on them and anything over 15 they are cooked.
yeah mate its a tough situation unfortunately
How they let that black Jew go
We popped the swim bladders and released them but unfortunately the chance of survival is low
esky flex was required
haha I think some people would get upset if I did that lol.

Mitch the area is certainly no secret and I couldn't be any more generic with the location description if I tried.
Mate I guarantee 1% of the RUclips viewers couldn’t even make it to shoal water hahahaha she’s fully hectic
Uppa Greg love the content mate
Better fishing off Frazer.
It only a good place if you are rich and have a missive boat that you can go 100s km offshore.
If you have a smaller boat, don’t bother
Pin if you love your fam
