Awesome content man! I just got deported to Mexico, I was born in nayarit but grew up in Utah for 24 years lol. Gonna get established here with my wife and kids until I can go back to the states legally
I know it’s not the best circumstances, but welcome back to Mexico! I absolutely love this country and I hope you get all settled and established asap! Thank you so much for the support and commenting ,I appreciate it! Much respect!
Great advice, I'm moving to Mexico for 4 or 5 months and been wondering how find a place. I like what you said about just airbnb it, seems like the easiest way for my situation.
Yes, sir, I agree that Airbnb is a great starting point when you are looking for a permanent place. I’ve done it more than once because I’ve had two apartments here, but it definitely is a good solution and you usually get a pretty good discount if you stay longer term like a month. I’m glad you found value from my video, thank you for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it!
Good video the one part that was not covered and I was looking for answers, was how to pay for rent. What kind of payment most accept from a foreigner or a foreigner with residency, a check, cash, Wise, etc. Thanks
Sorry for the late response, but I can tell you that it depends on the landlord. Some landlords want only cash because the government will tax bank accounts for Mexicans who have very high balances and some will accept bank transfers as well and those are the most two that are common. I’m not sure about writing checks because I haven’t seen that or know anybody who does that but I’m sure it’s a possibility. I hope that helped a bit and thank you for watching!
Jarell, how can you rely through Facebook that the person offering the rental is legitimate sight unseen? How do you get the justificativa? What exactly does it do? How do you find out if neighbors are good, quiet, etc.? Do any apartments have larger windows?
Playa Del Carmen is beautiful my man! I have been there twice and even though it is touristy, there’s still a lot of things to do and the Caribbean Coast is absolutely beautiful. You’re gonna have a great time there! Thanks so much for commenting and subscribing, I appreciate it!
Great question! It definitely is not gringo priced as all of the prices of apartments/houses are tailored to the local market for Mexican citizens. The price you see for places is the price that an average Mexican would pay if they wanted to rent. You can trust me because I rented two different apartments from there and I’ve had nothing but great experiences!
