Totally agreed!!! Hes f..... Awesomeness!!! I don't think ANYONE couldve replced Eric Carr AND Peter Criss better than him!!! I love Eric Singer hes the best and apsolutely love his voice🤘🤘✌️🖤🤘🤘
I'm not sure any amount of re recording or vocal changes will ever top the original. This is a classic KISS song from the 1st album it pretty much fuelled the end of every KISS show in the early 70's The original is always gonna' be the best but it's good to hear new versions and a good excuse to put new drummers on the mic.
@@cristianperez784 the whole concept of the re-recordings was to completely eliminate Ace and Peter. They didn't re-record Shock Me or Beth. That way their names don't appear on the album.
Im back at my 12's, when i hear this for very first time!!!! I didn't speak English, but the Rock then then thrash, teach me, English, to sing, to play guitar, to play bass, and the good taste of life!!!
My favorite song even though i do like the original song by Peter Criss i do like this one as well it sounds refreshed but it won't top the catman himself but Eric Singer is a great catman and i can't wait till i go and see there concert soon woop !! I
@whofan2753 You're right. sadly they tried as best as they could to re-create the original versions. Personally I would've really liked to hear studio recordings of the songs in their current state, as in how the band plays them live TODAY. That way there'd be a contrast. And that way there'd have actually been a POINT to these rerecords.
i agree but i understand why they didnt cause they were last minute replacements peter and ace left at unexpected times peter in the middle of the tour and ace right before a tour so they didnt have time to come up new ideas and it wouldnt make sense to change them after they already took on the persona's
@AceProductions91 First of all, this version is what I'm talking about: 2009 - 1974 = 35. ..... And second of all, even 2 more years beyond that now, it would today only be 37, not 38. But back to the original point, this was 35 years after the original.
Ever since Paul lost his voice Eric's had the best voice in the band. And since he's got the highest as well he could've replaced Paul's vocals and maybe should've but I know there's no way Paul would've approved of that
Every KISS drummer has done wonderfully with this song. Of course Peter gets respect as the original, but both Erics did great with it as well. Eric Carr was wonderful on the 1980 tour while Ace was still there (before he left). In the 1980s, Gene and Paul wanted all the old stuff sped up because they wanted metal cred. In my opinion they destroyed the groove of some great songs when they did that
what if they did re recorded it with eric carr and then re recorded with eric singer and they got it confused and accidently put the one with eric carr on the bonus disc ?
@mArl0rd not necessarily eric singer was hired in 1991 and tommy thayer was a big part of the kiss reunion tour helping ace to remember his solos, tommy knew aces solos better than ace did himself although we would all kill to have peter and ace back in the band
although peter was one of the original 4 members he couldnt touch eric singer .singer is in a different league altogether.peter criss was good to just before he left the band but he got soft and didnt put forth the energy if you watch the early kiss on yutube he had power in his playing [he hit the drums much harder]hands down singer is a way better drummer ..listen to the recordings with eric in the band.that my freinds is power
Eric Singer is the best drummer for Kiss, better than Criss, and he is good singer, but in this re record he tried to sing like Criss, I prefer the live version than this one. He sang "all for the glory" and it's so good.
@KirneH004 NO i like the re-recordings... he said that it was problem here on re-recording and sonic boom (sonic boom is for me the best KISS album and re-recordings are better than originals... but that is just me)
it's to bad they did not give eric carr half the opportunities they have given e, singer,E.CARR DID THIS SONG MUCH BETTER THAN CRISS OR SINGER....GENE & PAUL HAVE HAD MORE THAN THEIR SHARE OF TIME IN THE SPOT LIGHT...BUT WERE TO GREEDY TO LET ANYONE ELSE HAVE THERE MOMENT. INSTEAD OF MAKING IT KISS THE BAND THEY MADE IT THE GENE & PAUL SHOW....BUT NOW THEIR FINALLY GET'N IT...TOOK'UM LONG ENOUGH...MAYBE THEY DIDN'T KNOW EVERYTHING AFTER ALL..WILL SAY SONIC BOOM KICKS ASS.
Am I the only one who likes this version better than the original, The ending isn't as long and hug as the original, This is way better, Eric can sing way better than Peter.
this is just fuckin awful. why do they continually keep re-doing shitty versions of their best known tracks? Face it guys its over fuckin give it up at least Ace & Peter knew when it had gone far enough. This rehash is just ridiculous, and as for Thayer & Singer appearing in the make up? Ha
andymcb10572 they do it so they don’t have to pay ace and peter or anyone else any royalties a lot of bands are doing this. And yes it sounds like shit
Belfast Bus fan To be fair the great Eric Carr sang it too. and paul wrote it. so i consider it more of a kiss song. though hate how paul and gene made him sign like peter on it.
Eric Singer is a good singer, i mean ITS IN HIS NAME FOR CRYING OUT LOUD
He’s phenomenal haha
Totally agreed!!! Hes f..... Awesomeness!!! I don't think ANYONE couldve replced Eric Carr AND Peter Criss better than him!!! I love Eric Singer hes the best and apsolutely love his voice🤘🤘✌️🖤🤘🤘
Nope, Peter will always be the better man for this song.
Lo puro clásico y original se lo lleva Peter crisss😼
@metalmacabre9991 This isn't about Peter though lol
I'm not sure any amount of re recording or vocal changes will ever top the original. Wow, 35 years after the original recording, and they still sound fantastic!! I'm happy they re-recorded this one!
I wish they re-recorded Shock me
@@cristianperez784 Not without Ace!
@@cristianperez784 nooooo
@@cristianperez784 the whole concept of the re-recordings was to completely eliminate Ace and Peter. They didn't re-record Shock Me or Beth. That way their names don't appear on the album.
I apsolutly love this I love how Eric singing this it sounds soooooo much better and Tommy is awesome!!! Awesome harmony again!!!!! 🖤🤘
Define better
@@ShockMe1994 doesn’t hurt/irritate my ears😂
I like this version and the Eric Carr version. However, Pete killed it!!
Im back at my 12's, when i hear this for very first time!!!! I didn't speak English, but the Rock then then thrash, teach me, English, to sing, to play guitar, to play bass, and the good taste of life!!!

Just isn’t the same without Peter criss’ unique drumming style and his raspy voice.
Very nice performance!!!!
Heavy sound !!! perfect
just not got the grit the original got
best re-record
@whofan2753

I like this one better, am I the only one that reckon that eric singer sounds like eric carr in this ?
The original is the best. But I wish they re-recorded it with Eric Carr. He sounded the best and was the best drummer
who agrees that tommy and eric(singer)needed their own makeup like vinnie and eric(carr)!
Alex Malkovich me
Alex Malkovich I'd give Tommy The Sorcerer's make-up. It is like Golden Spaceman.
Tommy should go as a Witchhunter, or a mouse in contrast to the catman
Kisss is kisss regardless
Black Diamond kicks ass!
Me hubiera gustado una version pero interpretada por Eric carr
and while i think thayer and singer do a pretty good job they will never be as good as Peter and Ace
i agree but i understand why they didnt cause they were last minute replacements peter and ace left at unexpected times peter in the middle of the tour and ace right before a tour so they didnt have time to come up new ideas and it wouldnt make sense to change them after they already took on the persona's
If they were going for that garage band cover sound, they nailed it.
@AceProductions91 First of all, this version is what I'm talking about: 2009 - 1974 = 35. ..... And second of all, even 2 more years beyond that now, it would today only be 37, not 38. But back to the original point, this was 35 years after the original.
As much as I love And respect ace I can’t help but to accept that Thayers solo is kinda better in this one

I love kiss
Just wow’zzzz🎶🖤🔥
It annoys me that they don't have the drum sticks count off in the beginning. They just randomly say HIT IT!!
It Annoys me too
@johnsmith2046 Since the recording of this version, yes..But it's still played live.
@johnsmith2046 BUT, Alive 35 tour carried on for one whole year, making it 36 years when this and Sonic Boom were recorded.
@KirneH004 even Eric Singer said that drums are not as he wanted them to be
Paul sounded good in this song and eric singer is a good singer
It is interesting but I do prefer the original ones
CRISS IS AND ALWAYUS BE THE BEST RUMMER FOR KISSS!!!
Peter Criss made the song tho , i like this version too
awesome
the ending just isnt as scary sounding as the original
Oh wow, this actually good! The amount of autotune is not so high on this one. Good job!
Only the ALIVE version sounds better !👌
Good!!

well where the hell is it...i ain;t herd it...send it to me..i'm talk'n studio not live...
@AceProductions91 No, 35.
kiss was better in the 70's with ace and criss and i dont see anything wrong with the drums tbh
Why Eric sings better than Paul and Gene combined 😂
@mrwasanisong nowhere they never recorded it
Eric carr black Diamond
Eric Singer es el Mejor y me vale lo que digan :v
@VivaLaDan666 id like to know what record it is on cause ive never seen it, ive only seen the live version
@mArl0rd not necessarily eric singer was hired in 1991 and tommy thayer was a big part of the kiss reunion tour helping ace to remember his solos, tommy knew aces solos better than ace did himself although we would all kill to have peter and ace back in the band
wtf are you talking about, they rerecorded a version with Carr before he died..
Nope me too
Ack no

mike mcauliffe In Peter's defense, he is now over 70 years old and playing the drums has to be pretty physically demanding.
I like this version better. Sorry, not sorry.
Why?
Eric Singer is the best drummer for Kiss, better than Criss, and he is good singer, but in this re record he tried to sing like Criss, I prefer the live version than this one.
He sang "all for the glory" and it's so good.
Eric singer is a better member of kiss in general compared to Tommy thayer.
Tommy has skill, he’s just forced to copy Ace

can you tell me where i can find a studio recording of eric carr singing black diamond? i can only find live versions on youtube. is it on a album?
I'm sorry to say this but it I like Eric's vocals better than Peter's. Don't get me wrong, I still think Peter was still superior in every other way.
Big fucking fail
Am I the only one who likes this version better than the original, The ending isn't as long and hug as the original, This is way better, Eric can sing way better than Peter.
na i dont agree no one will ever replace Peters voice in the band.
I think mostly this way. Also, the bass is better. However, I don't like Stanley's vocals and acoustic intro in this version.
Jeremy Stillwell Cause his opinion's different than yours? 🤣
PETER ES PETRE.....NI HABLAR.....LO ORIGINAL ES MEJOR....
In my opinion, Tommy and Eric don't belong in KISS, PERIOD!
shut up fuckin bitch
Fuck off, Tommy and Eric are awesome.
The original is MUCH better
Even Eric Carr sang this song better. Eric Singer is not, and never be part of Kiss or Kiss history, he is just a salaried musician, so as Thayer.
shut the hell up fucker
Sorry bud, Eric is a big part of KISSTORY and kicks ass! Sorry that you’re jealous.
2 guys in original make-up? Cover band.

Way to ruin one of Peters signature songs...

Nope... This is not as good as the original by any size of the imagination.
