ABOUT THE TWITCH DROPS! It turns out I made a mistake (it happens) and the two white masks at 0:36 are showcasing 2 new patters and AREN’T new masks. I don’t know how I failed to pick up on that. 😆
Finally, we got a suitable replacement for perk decks: An in-dept system that gives you an interesting core to your build that can allow for a ton of varied playstyles. You know, if this works out well, I think community sentiment around the current skill system could change. One thing I am worried for though: That the regen speed is tied to all chunks at once instead of one at a time. If you go for shields and you need to wait three seconds four times, it would be a lot more bearable than twelve full seconds without armour...
Here is an idea; Focus armor, constantly regenerates as long as you are moving, regeneration speed is based on your movement speed, no or 1 consumables, -40% ammo reduction
The system was worked on when mio was still a game director and in my opinion its shows how good is in his job on payday 3 but what happend before that shown us that he wasn't ready for being a game director of payday 3
Maybe a heavy plate type that takes full trauma damage (meaning no regen at all) but with a 50% dmg reduction, so a solid fit in your final plate to take damage just in case you were caught in a really bad situation
@@IAmUnderscore Yeah, but how good are you at keeping ONE plate up, when you also take 30% more damage to said plate compared to the current 1-plate-armor? Because that's what the guy claims he's doing: One-shield-plate. Which means 1 plate, 100% damage, 3 second for regen to start. That ain't sounding very sensible.
@@gimok2k5 Regen armor actually got a buff according to the numbers in the blog. 10% damage resistance instead of 5%. It’s not tricky with the current state of the game, I expect 1 regen or 1 shield to be absurdly strong when this system launches
@@IAmUnderscore Again, the guy wants SHIELD. With ZERO damage reduction. And ONLY ONE. Why are you constantly talking about completely different setups?
In a weird way, this is also the addition of Perk Decks, somewhat. They always tended to be defensive, and you could choose what kind of defense you wanted (Like Booze).
Holy shit, I never thought of it that way but you're right. Skill trees were your offense and equipment and perk decks are your overall sustainability in one way or another.
Im glad there keeping the old armor systems and allow you to customize the armor but I hope they keep the present armor so that way you dont want to customize you can use premade armor we have right now
I have an Idea for an 4th armor chunk type: Name: Steel Plate Dmg Reduction: 45% Regeneration time: +2,5 second Downs: -2 Trauma Damage: Yes Idea was quite simple - an balanced "upgrade" for the standard armor, that offers better durability, while costing more downs
I'm pretty sure already that noone uses the blue armor types, no reason to add a new one that's just better than that, because it makes it obsolete. Even with those defense stats.
I don't think that the twitch-drops are three masks, as the two white masks are both the same, AND one we already got. So, instead, I think it's two PATTERN, and putting the pattern on a basic white mask was just the best way to showcase it.
1:50 Mostly irrelevant to the video as a whole, but is that a DOC van on Diamond District? Is that a glitch, mod or some form of favour because I've never seen that before. Wide C-stacks.
@@SafyAbecasis Sorry to break it to you but at 0:36, those two white masks on left and right are "Billy Ballistic" to better show new mask patterns because this is the only mask in PD3 smooth and flat enough to show it best. And yes, to confirm it, I went on PD3 wiki and in-game that it is in fact "Billy Ballistic". In Dev Update 6, we also got 1 mask, 2 patterns, 2 stickers and 1 charm :) (Cause if it were some kind of preset masks that would huge laziness from devs)
@@g4rpl3i yeah, I’ve just seen another comment t explaining that there are 2 mask patters, that makes sense. My bad, I’ll pin a comment to clear up any confusion.
I know people hate dealing with normal chunk, but we shouldn't sleep on the new 1.5s regen time for it. Right now, it takes 3, 6, 8 and 10 seconds to regen 1, 2, 3 and 4 chunks of normal armor respectively. Those numbers are very high relative to the actions in the game happening every seconds. With the new system, it wil take only 1.5, 3, 4.5 and 6 seconds to regen, which is wayyyy better. Even if you don't wanna go all normal, incorporating normal chunk into your armor build will reduce the regen time for the regenerable chunk significantly.
I think they should add an AOE explosions to the armour system when you down, that would damage enemies, and hopefully make it easier for your teammates to revive you in tight situations. Kind of like the martyrdom perk from call of duty .
@@MoosterChief I think it seems complicated right now as we’re looking at a bunch of statistics and figures. I reckon once it’s actually in the game, it’ll be as complicated or as simple as you make it, the customisation is mostly in the players hands.
