After riding motorbikes since the age of 16, passing my full bike license at 17 I always wanted to buy a Yamaha R1. 5 years later I finally decided to get the bike I always wanted... A Black & Gold Yamaha R1 Big Bang!

Motorbike vs GTR drag race. Im keen.
GTR has no chance if he can launch the bike properly.
Gtr would probably win as it will have a higher top speed and alot more hp the bike will have the launch cuz its lighter but then the gtr will start pulling and as i said at the start the gtr would probably win i mean correct me if im wrong but i would say the gtr could win depends on length of drag
+VP SNIPES the r1 would smoke a gtr in a drag, that bike will hit near 200, but the acceleration on that beast would win the race alone.
+CA GT the horse power doesn't matter in a drag race it's torque quickest of the line and then maintain the speed so the r1 would win

Congrats man, you pretty much made it to the top of the biking world! She's looking well, defo need a after market exhaust and tail tidy. Also get a tank pad, so you don't get that thing marked. Enjoy.

The crossplane sound makes it that much better
Exhausts are all down to personal preference and there is such a huge range to choose from. Personally I would go with Akrapovic on that CP4 R1. I wouldn't touch a Toce system but you already seem to have your heart set on that one. Either way enjoy and stay safe.

Jack listen you have to get the "TOCE" exhaust!! It's not a r1 without a toce exhaust trust me its amazing
Best bike i owned (Good choice), wish i never traded for a new ZX10R!! Only simple mods i done were tail tidy, single sided RaceFit exhaust which done away with the CAT! (Made the throttle so more responsive and a double bubble screen.

Don't get a power commander, I work at a bike shop, get a ecu custom remap it's cheaper, and get more power, best thing is you can change it back to how it was stock!
R1 Crossplane + TOCE = Eargasm... can't wait

no matter what you do (buying a supercar) nothing compares to the experience on two wheels. ride safe
the Toce isn't a good shout for Europe, which is why it's so hard to find them in UK. they have no baffle, race based and will not pass any MOT, and you'll get pulled over a lot. mine has Akra with link pipe decat, again not great for MOT.

You need a tank protecter otherwise it will be so scratched by you ziplock, btw nice bike, my dad has a BMW HP4 and before that he had an R1 ;))

First of all, get a Fender eliminator, and a small license plate. Secondly, get a 2 brothers exhaust.
So I've went and found that Akrapovic exhaust is the bike version of Army Trix exhaust. So for now those seem to be a good choice. They also cost around $350-$1000. But it really depends which one you get!!
