Japan here, Japan there... The Forza community really has no variety of ideas for a place where a Forza game could be set in. Guys, if they avoided Japan in the past, they will keep avoiding Japan in the future unless something happens in PG's headquarters or smth idk

First of all, Japan is famous for the Midnight Club crew, they are the drifting pioneers, JDM cars, technically a country with a car/racing history, so yes I totally disagree with you, Japan is one of the best choices the developers can make for FH6. And for those who say that if they do it in Japan, what is going to happen in FH7, don't forget there are still plenty of countries that they could fit in a Forza Horizon game like Germany, UAE, Netherlands, Spain, Canada etc.
Of all places I think POLAND would be a good choice. It has a desert, a big city, beautiful scenic roads, and mountains. As well as smaller neighborhoods and towns.
If forza actually goes the Japan route then it would be a best seller for open world racing, that’s why they’re waiting for either the next game or FH7 so we’d have the tech to not be disappointed with the game and map.

I can totally agree with Horizon’s 5 map feeling a bit “empty” due to the limitations of the Xbox One. I mean, the little console is nearly a decade old lol. For the next Horizon I personally prefer it omit inclusion of the Xbox One completely. That way we could potentially see more architecture being included into the game’s map. Oh and that Japan concept map I see, I like how it looks overall although I don’t see anything mentioning Mount Akina, at least for the Initial D fans lol. And also why is Mount Fuji appearing red at the top? Should be a white cap of snow on there, but either wise great concept art!

The crew 2s map is absolutely huge & it runs no problem on the xbox one but horizon 5… The map is dull imo compared to every other title & feels like im driving in the middle of nowhere

Japan in my opinion was never touched because of technical limitations for the Xbox One consoles. I think they might be saving Japan for the next FH title or the one after the next IF that is even a thing so they can make use of the power of the series consoles and by then maybe more series X or S maybe available to buy and most person would be on new gen hopefully. Also if they do go to Japan they should consider going back to the roots of what made FH a car persons game like Forza Motorsport is taking a restart and a new title i think needs a completely new platform and physics engine.
The one reason why Forza or any other major open world racing game devs will avoid Japan because they know they will disappoint the community with their Japan map no matter how good they make it. Because the community will be like "they should've included this, and that, and this (varieties of touges, highway loops, in game racing tracks, rally circuits, etc)"
The developers confirmed that the Ramsi in the car is actually a hologram. That's right. It's a teaser for the next update which is going to be a Tron themed one.
I suspect Kyoto would be a lot more likely than Tokyo since, while I'm fully aware that the cities in Horizon games aren't fully 1:1, Tokyo's more like an amalgamation of smaller sub-cities than a single coherent city where even giving Tokyo a couple of square miles on a Horizon map wouldn't really do it justice. Plus, if they wanted to also include a more "modern" Japanese city than Kyoto, Osaka is much closer to Kyoto than Tokyo is, as is Kobe and Nagoya. I could also imagine an alternative Japan map set largely in the "Japan Alps" of the Chūbu region with Nagano as the main city and maybe going down to either the Pacific at Nagoya or the Sea of Japan at Tōyama or Kanazawa.

I don't think they'd do Yokohama without also doing Tokyo but I don't think they're going to do Tokyo and surrounding cities for the same reason they chose Edinburgh instead of London in Forza 4 because even a scaled-down version of the megalopolis would just have taken up too much of the map.
6:03 - That actually happened to me like one month after release, it does give you a pretty weird feeling and I don’t know why it happens 6:45 to 7:20 That happens to me pretty often playing online with my friends, I don’t clip it because I see it as something really normal now

The only reason Horizon 5 feels empty isn't necessarily the limitations. Actually, it's the simplicity of the game's progression. There's not one challenge for us that makes the experience more fun or anything to motivate us to keep playing outside of seasonal events. I think there should be a DLC related to a even bigger map, not Hotwheels- perhaps return Horizon 1 into the mix. Redo the whole map and bring the story back.
Eric I found a few glitches I want to let you know about: -When I was trying to rewind, the race would rewind but then continue without me pressing A to continue it, causing me to crash, miss a checkpoint etc. this happened to me on the hotwheels track only but went away in a week, however weeks later and it is back, but everywhere, not just in the hotwheels park. Does anyone else have this??? -When I pause a race, it still continued in the background, which didn't go away with restarting the game or my xbox series x. This was also the case in photo mode, which looked hilarious! -You know the number next to your game name which shows which position you are in a race to others around you? Well, I was doing a normal race today (with AI) but then I realised that the person in front of me had a number which was constantly changing randomly, when it should've just read 1, as it was in 1st place. This didn't change even after I overtook him. -Finally, this isn't a glitch, but when I try to teleport to the hotwheels park through the menu, it calls the park something like "skydriver's park", just mentioning this in case no one has realised. (nevermind, you did see it) Hope these help!
FH6 should be on Series S/X, PC only next time around. I also think Playground Games would most likely need a larger team to pull of Japan. I'm sure FH6 is in development now in some fashion.

Forza Horizon 5 is barely 10 months old, yet there are people out there actively seeking out information and spoilers for Horizon 6. Horizon 6 is like 3 years away, and we still have Motorsport 8 to look forward to.
Instead of Japan, why not Germany. I think it’d be amazing for us to drive round the nubergring and to be able to drive in Munich, the autobahn and other amazing places plus we’d have more German cars that haven’t been in a horizon game.
It is amazing that I saw you that days in 2014-2015 recreating motor trend drag races in fh2 or in fm5 and now it’s 7 years later it’s just open and close your eyes and there is fh6 and you still do your amazing videos!
I've noticed a sort of a pattern when it comes to the locations. 2 FH titles are set in North America, 2 in Europe and of course FH3 in Australia. I wouldn't be surprised if FH6 ends up being in New Zealand or something

Japan is highly requested for a good reason, you know. It'd be a great country to feature in the Horizon series, especially for Touge racing/drifting and all that. We've never had anything like that in the previous Horizon titles, and the closest we've ever gotten was a Japanese Touge EventLabs creation, which looked very cool. I'd love to see something like that but as an actual part of the game rather than a player-made creation. I'm still holding my breathe that maybe next Horizon will be Japan, but somehow I still doubt it.

When it's the ONLY place the majority ever wants, people really gotta take a second and really consider WHY it hasn't been a thing yet. I'd agree to an extent that people might want it a bit _too_ much, but at the same time I'm in the same boat as them (not as in I'm obsessed with Japan as a location, just that I think it would be the best Horizon since the first one). I've seen people consider many different ideas for locations, though, that I think would be good too. I saw somebody mention the UAE and Germany; I'd love to see Horizon games there, but I still have that pipe dream of having a Horizon game in Japan. I guess the point of my comment was that it's reasonable to be annoyed with people complaining about where Japan is all day every day, but I don't see why that should mean that Japan _shouldn't_ be a location.
If you're in a car and fast travel from one end of the map to the other you can look in the cars history and where it says the miles or kilometers that car drove it will say your car drove those miles or kilometers you fast traveled
And what about Brazil? South America has all the features that Turn 10 wants, its a large country, we have beaches, big cities, jungles, mountain roads and a large set off incredible Brazilian made cars that can be included in game
One glitch I found. Is it a glitch?.The barn find Viper ACR when I tried to get a livery for it one side was ALWAYS blank while the other is liveryd. REALLY ANNOYING!! Why is one side blank?
They're probably saving Japan for when they can finally drop last gen consoles so they can put as much into it as possible without having to worry about it needing to run on nearly 10 year old consoles
The problem with map in FH5 is they tried to force entire Mexico into it, which something not possible to do well with size of maps Horizon games can provide. It feels almost as fake as sky island in HW expansion. A theme park, rather than place. The way I see it, IF they decide to pick Japan, they'll have 3 choices: Make Japan theme park, which will be as dull as FH5 Mexico. Make most of it Tokyo, which will likely make it even more dull. Pick picturesque spot, with mountains on one end and city outskirts on another for perfect ballance and make Tokyo Drift babies mad.
I would love to see a map based in the south of germany with the autobahn, switzerland with its mountains and pass roads and maybe also austria. I know its a big area but I think it could be possible
I’d love to see FH6 in Vancouver, Canada. It’s one of the most beautiful cities in my opinion. It’s got skyscrapers, mountains, and of course, the ocean. The possibilities are endless.
they could do a Forza in Brazil for forza 6. Northeastern region got some real nice features and in a 80x80km map, i'd Put Arround the Recife region. OR.... hear me out... they could use the world from Flight simulator (with some adjustments obviously), and do a Horizon world, where you could literally race in any street in the world. wouldn't be perfect and feature a lot of stock buildings but hey, i think it is a cool concept to go wherever you want.
ngl along with no big cities in fh5, they also overlooked a good area from fh4 for the fh5 game, the mudkickers area with playground games in it. i think they missed out on a good opportunity in mangrove area with the hilly mud pit, of course all the trees are a slight issue for playability in some cases but even so, having a playground games there would liven up the area a bit imo cus the other areas we have for playground games are neat but i miss mudkickers flag rush
I hope Horizon 6 is set in Japan & if possible we get Suzuki back from Motorsport 4. Racing games aren't even set in Japan anymore. Well aside from Motorsport games like Gran Turismo 7.
That's due to Polyphony Digital being a Japanese games company, most western companies don't touch Japan or Asian countries due to how they make the games, with the political problems right now it won't happen at all

I really want to see a Horizon game set in Canada, we have some brutal winters here and driving can be hard. I made a race in the hotwheels map called "Forza Horizon 6 Canada?" to try and show what it's like. Just imagine winter comes around right and half the cars won't even start because it's so dang cold, there's snow banks 6 to 8 feet high lining most of the roads, some roads are covered in 4 to 6 feet of snow and aren't even usable, then there are the moose. Instead of the goats and rams we see in Mexico here they could have moose running around, and instead of them running out of the way of the car like the animals usually do, you can actually hit a moose. And when you do, your car comes to a DEAD stop, emphasis on the dead. Then the moose just runs away... like they do.
I can't stand Japan anymore, it's impossible to do it in Japan, the government doesn't allow it and according to my theory, the FH6 will be in Europe, simple is a chronological line FH1:Colorado FH2: Europe FH3: Australia FH4: Great Britain (Europe) FH5:Mexico FH6: Europe? It's my theory, the chance of Japan appearing as a map is minimal, that's why I created this theory

when you go to the hot wheels park and look up to the sky, you see clouds, but when you go to the edge of the map, and look down, you also see clouds

I think all traffic cars use their turn signals in the wrong direction. At least it seems to be that way every time I pay attention to it.
the drift flags disappearing have happened to me as well even though I'm on pc so I don't think it's just because of the Xbox

so i don't know if you know this or even covered it before. but the funco buggy stock headlights don't ever turn on. unless you get on the brakes

Loved the name they gave the Horizon 5 HotWheels. However I still think ThrillTopia from Horizon 3 takes best name for the HotWheels Park!

Japan is highly requested for a good reason, you know. It'd be a great country to feature in the Horizon series, especially for Touge racing/drifting and all that. We've never had anything like that in the previous Horizon titles, and the closest we've ever gotten was a Japanese Touge EventLabs creation, which looked very cool. I'd love to see something like that but as an actual part of the game rather than a player-made creation. I'm still holding my breathe that maybe next Horizon will be Japan, but somehow I still doubt it.
@@DontActuallyWannaDie To be completely fair, the Forza community takes it to the point of an unhealthy obsession. When it's the ONLY place the majority ever wants, people really gotta take a second and really consider WHY it hasn't been a thing yet. Playground Games has their reasons, and frankly, I think the community should start considering other possibilities instead of being hung up on one idea the ENTIRE time.
@@duskfallbreeze8150 Well, others have pointed out that they've perhaps been waiting to do Japan so they can make sure to deliver and not disappoint due to technical limitations, which kind of sounds unlikely but at the same time it could be that. I'd agree to an extent that people might want it a bit _too_ much, but at the same time I'm in the same boat as them (not as in I'm obsessed with Japan as a location, just that I think it would be the best Horizon since the first one). I've seen people consider many different ideas for locations, though, that I think would be good too. I saw somebody mention the UAE and Germany; I'd love to see Horizon games there, but I still have that pipe dream of having a Horizon game in Japan. I guess the point of my comment was that it's reasonable to be annoyed with people complaining about where Japan is all day every day, but I don't see why that should mean that Japan _shouldn't_ be a location.
If you're in a car and fast travel from one end of the map to the other you can look in the cars history and where it says the miles or kilometers that car drove it will say your car drove those miles or kilometers you fast traveled

One glitch I found. Is it a glitch?.The barn find Viper ACR when I tried to get a livery for it one side was ALWAYS blank while the other is liveryd. REALLY ANNOYING!! Why is one side blank?
They're probably saving Japan for when they can finally drop last gen consoles so they can put as much into it as possible without having to worry about it needing to run on nearly 10 year old consoles

The problem with map in FH5 is they tried to force entire Mexico into it, which something not possible to do well with size of maps Horizon games can provide. It feels almost as fake as sky island in HW expansion. A theme park, rather than place.
The way I see it, IF they decide to pick Japan, they'll have 3 choices: Make Japan theme park, which will be as dull as FH5 Mexico. Make most of it Tokyo, which will likely make it even more dull. Pick picturesque spot, with mountains on one end and city outskirts on another for perfect ballance and make Tokyo Drift babies mad.
I would love to see a map based in the south of germany with the autobahn, switzerland with its mountains and pass roads and maybe also austria. I know its a big area but I think it could be possible
I’d love to see FH6 in Vancouver, Canada. It’s one of the most beautiful cities in my opinion. It’s got skyscrapers, mountains, and of course, the ocean. The possibilities are endless.
they could do a Forza in Brazil for forza 6. Northeastern region got some real nice features and in a 80x80km map, i'd Put Arround the Recife region.
OR.... hear me out...
they could use the world from Flight simulator (with some adjustments obviously), and do a Horizon world, where you could literally race in any street in the world. wouldn't be perfect and feature a lot of stock buildings but hey, i think it is a cool concept to go wherever you want.
ngl along with no big cities in fh5, they also overlooked a good area from fh4 for the fh5 game, the mudkickers area with playground games in it. i think they missed out on a good opportunity in mangrove area with the hilly mud pit, of course all the trees are a slight issue for playability in some cases but even so, having a playground games there would liven up the area a bit imo cus the other areas we have for playground games are neat but i miss mudkickers flag rush
I hope Horizon 6 is set in Japan & if possible we get Suzuki back from Motorsport 4. Racing games aren't even set in Japan anymore. Well aside from Motorsport games like Gran Turismo 7.
That's due to Polyphony Digital being a Japanese games company, most western companies don't touch Japan or Asian countries due to how they make the games, with the political problems right now it won't happen at all

I would really love another game set in Colorado tbh. After going there in person there is so much about Colorado that could be beautifully displayed with new gen graphics that the original map just couldn’t capture

I really want to see a Horizon game set in Canada, we have some brutal winters here and driving can be hard. I made a race in the hotwheels map called "Forza Horizon 6 Canada?" to try and show what it's like.
Just imagine winter comes around right and half the cars won't even start because it's so dang cold, there's snow banks 6 to 8 feet high lining most of the roads, some roads are covered in 4 to 6 feet of snow and aren't even usable, then there are the moose. Instead of the goats and rams we see in Mexico here they could have moose running around, and instead of them running out of the way of the car like the animals usually do, you can actually hit a moose. And when you do, your car comes to a DEAD stop, emphasis on the dead. Then the moose just runs away... like they do.

I think it would be cool if there was a forza horizon game based in the country of brazil because of the famous landmarks there and not to mention the amazon rainforest would be perfect for rally cars and other off-road vehicles
