Pilates has been the first and only type of workout that made me feel so in tune with my body and actually slow down to think about doing the postures right and keeping my core engaged. All the other more fast paced workouts left me feeling hurried and only focusing on the pace and sweating lol. Having anxiety disorders and adhd, I feel the short but sweet pilates toning workouts combined with dancing and yoga is the best option for my mind and body, thankyou Bailley 💗

I wish there was a stronger body of scientific literature about cycle syncing and the way our cycles influence the way we move and eat. There is so much promising annecdotal evidence, but the actual research is ridiculously lacking - especially when we start considering the impact of birth control. 50% of the population is dealing with this, and we deserve access to that information so we can make informed decisions about our bodies the same way men can. So frustrating!

It makes you loose inches especially in waistline, the only other thing I add is walking with some form of cardio like walking fast with some incline. Pilates is a must it gives you true strength and great tone also makes me feel more confident than other workouts and helps with my back pain.

So glad you’re sharing this. And congrats on your personal journey “home”. I can 💯 testify from personal experiences that everything you say here has worked over and over for me. Over the years I’ve been out of alignment (pun intended) with my body hormones and stress levels. Pilates instructor myself. It’s so sad that every single personal trainer I’ve talked with about this don’t understand this. It’s crazy… So yeah thanks again for sharing this so other women who go through this stars believing in their bodies and intuition instead of pushing through at the gym because that’s what’s being hyped online and in commercials. Since starting doing your videos in July my body is shifting again and mentally I feel much much better now. Thank you so much - much love from a fan and pilates sister in Denmark

Good morning 🌞, I noticed that too, the more I worked out I gained weight at certain times so I just stopped all the cardio and hit. When I started doing yoga, Pilates and one day of kickboxing my body transformed. I know I have to strength train too but Pilates helped. I did Pilates for 9 days the first time and worked muscles I never knew I had plus I felt taller.
People always think I’m tall in pictures but I’m not. I was in an accident in my 20s a passenger and hurt my left knee. I did what worked for me. I wasn’t focused on a number on a scale, like most. I just wanted to be lean and healthy and have better posture. I have PCOS and fibroids and that’s another thing, I gain. But I started taking supplements, changed my diet and sleeping to control it. Thank God it’s not severe.

Not sure if this helps other women but I noticed that I can go really hard during the middle of the cycle, and need to go slow and easy before hitting the period. I notice in the last week or so before being more tired and having less energy despite enough sleep and food due to hormones. So, I just sleep more and do more low impact work outs (no weight lifting) because I guess that's what my body needs then. :-) Focus and start listening to your body, girls. You are worth it!
Ps: I am not on hormonal birth control and would recommend to get off it to anyone wanting to reconnect to their body and menstrual cycle.
Fun fact: the NFP (Natural family planning) method has one of the lowest Pearl Index numbers and is a great way to learn more about our bodies and cycle. Its also great if you are actually planning to become pregnant. :-)

@@felixsaccent There are great videos here on yt that explain everything about the pill and why it may be not that good for the body. But I'd also totally recommend you to read Dr. Pelz' book "Fast like a girl". Its about fasting according to the menstrual cycle. Through regular fasting we can ease symptoms and help our body heal. Dr. Pelz also has a yt channel. Also, I would never trust doctors blindly and do sth. because they said so, from my experience unfortunately. Always seek a 2nd and 3rd opinion also. Hope this helps. ♥️

My friend said she lost all her baby weight from Pilates. I've bad friends lose tons of weight through a trainer and they say to take it easier. Too high of a heart rate causes stress on our body and releases cortisol and need for overconsumption of foods. If I recall right it used sugars only from blood stream. A slightly elevated heart rate in the"zone" heart rate allows our body to use the energy from our fat storage.

I started pilates because I had a knee injury. I went ice skating and fell down but felt nothing next day I went to the gym and had legs days after finishing leg extensions i felt my knee was smashed.. I stayed 1 month without any type of movement hardly walking with crutches until I started physiotherapy.. well physiotherapy exercises are very much like pilates my doctor told me do slow controlled moves take the time to rest between moves.. so I said oh well this looks a lot like pilates.. Im 28yo.. and my problem area are my arms.. and when I saw arm pilates workout I said.. pfff wth is that .. but I did it anyway.. next day when I woke up my lats and my triceps were on fire.. so Never ever doubt the power of Body Weight exercises. I currently follow move with nicole exercises because she guide u when to breath in and breath out compared to other pilates instructors.. so having thst guide u can engaged your core muscles much better! Now Im totally in love with pilates.. I think if I hadnt had that knee injury I would have continued lifting weights and doing cardio and getting demolished twice a week

Do I just do the days one at a time like, just day 1 on day 1? Or do you do more than one set a day like 2 times through or 3 times through day 1?

Beautiful location! More personal question, I’ve been doing some workouts from time to time; I have lower back pain and not much upper body strength. It’s hard for me to be consistent because of that so I’m not able to see much results. Thank you! 🥰🥰

Same here, found a pilates for core done mostly on your back. Helped me strengthen my core and no more lower back pain.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I’ve been trying to eat healthier and doing Pilates everyday for a few months but I have not seen a change in my body and I don’t know what it is but now I’m trying to cut out bread and rice :(

I'm wondering if all athletes and gymrats secretly have hormonal issues and rarely admit it🤔 I only read about the benefits of strength training for health and bone strength, so I did that, but I can't really tell if it's influencing my hormones as I lost my cycle before that (was underweight). Currently I'm experimenting with Barre and pilates instead, I feel amazing but I'm scared to lose the strength and muscle I built. Pilates won't build as much as heavy weights and progressive overload is harder to include sometimes 🤔

Nightly magnesium can help. It relaxes your gut muscles. But I've found that just exercising my lower body helps as well.
