      That’s why you have to be extremely secure in yourself when you choose to put yourself in the public eye. It’s awful how the media and people will treat celebrities but again you’re putting yourself up for public scrutiny when you do become famous.

    This was the worst to witness in real-time. She was so happy and confident when she debuted and you could see that changing as the bullying continued. I've never seen a fandom bully their idols like Highs did. She was really charismatic though, hopefully people remember that more than the scandal. Pristin was such a shtshow and waste of talent.

It saddens me how no one would cheer for her during live shows, or how when it would be her turn for photos that cameras wouldn’t even look at her. @@meemaw2200 Because...she does have meat on her bones?? And you aren't her doctor, so you have no say in whether or not she's "overweight". She looks to be the average weight for her body type/size, nothing looks disproportionate and she was able to keep up with Pristin while in the group as well. Obviously most humans default body type isn't going to be like hers, and in most cases I'd agree she would be overweight, but just as there are plenty of naturally skinny idols, there are also just some naturally thicker idols as well. It's clear she doesn't have a slim nor petite frame, hence why it was probably harder for her to lose weight/she gave up so quickly. Not everyone has the same body type at all, I thought we knew this by now. LOL.

I always felt bad for Kayla and how the Knetizens treated her, I really hate how Koreans treat people who don't fit in... she didn't cause any trouble for her members, she wasn't rude, she didn't smoke or treat anyone poorly. It's unfair how idols can be cancelled just for their weight, while idols who undergo cosmetic procedures are praised by Knetz for their effort for trying to fit into the beauty standards. 'Kyla didn't fit into the extremely skinny body type a lot of idols do'. I'm guessing there's a good percentage of idols that aren't naturally that skinny and have to constantly diet, restrict their food or starve thamselves to be that thin - female and male. Even being a normal healthy weight for your body frame and height is unacceptable to Netizens, who I assume also will be more normal to heavier people than skinny underweight people - unless you're only allowed to qualify as a Netizen if you're perfect. I think they'll only know how a targeted, bullied person feels when they have children of their own who get vicious comments about them.

  • @MadCheshireHat

    I've never heard of her and never followed the group. All the clips shown here don't show a girl obese, overweight, or fat. People carry weight differently and have different body shapes. She looks like she has wider hips/pelvis than is typical of Kpop stars, and some of these outfits aren't styled for her body type, making her worse.
    I don't see any extra fat on her stomach and thick thighs don't automatically mean someone is fat or overweight.

  • @chxrryzluv
    @chxrryzluv Год назад +2

    I still don’t get the thing about people pointing out and shaming the fat in our body.. whats wrong with being overweight? This is just sad and disappointing. “Ruining the visual of the group” the only thing I care about is their talent and music not about their visuals, K-pop is beginning to be all about visuals not about talent or music. Im really glad she is ok now and gained back her confidence again because shaming someone’s weight will never be ok 😕

    "If you can't take care of your body then you don't have the right to be one" and then "I'm not asking you to be stick skinny" that's exactly what they're asking. Kyla is absolutely beautiful and talwnted. It's just an absolute shame this happened to her. It's sad the only way she would have received praise and acceptance is if she was as skinny as all the other members, makes me laugh at how they play it off and say she's unhealthy.. it's unhealthy to be borderline starving..

From Liz now it's Kyla going through some hectic days because of toxic fans 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠. It's her body and her choice to do whatever she wants with it either gain weight or not fans should stop Wilding while trashing female idols, people need to get themselves busy with work or school instead of bothering Kyla. phewwwww!!!!!

    Recently I was watching a kdrama Idol: the coup,in it a girl group is close to disbandment after years of neglect and downright step mortherly treatment by the agency after they dipped a bit in popularity, the first thing I remembered was all I had read about Pristin disbandment and treatment, it still hangs on my head and I feel so bad for all the girls in the group,their talents were not just wasted but they were even denied an opportunity to try their best, it was snatched from them even before that.

    I'm not usually one for quoting the Bible but in this case, fans should really take care of the beams in their own eyes before trying to pluck out splinters in the idols'. If you think it's okay to bully someone because of how they look, you're the one who needs help.
