This is a masterclass on efficient filmmaking, not a single wasted shot or element. The tone of the film works with the limitations of the camera and lighting, the ISO noise and not great color reproduction of kit lenses adds a grittyness and expression of mundane despair that compliments the story, although a part of me wishes you had tried some cheap fast primes to just bump the visual polish and dynamicism up a bit on certain scenes.
You prove again and again that anyone can make an effective film at any budget level. Much respect, and you can bet ill be back here when Im planning my first microbudget feature.

Thank you for the feedback Bruh-bruh. I was afraid this might be too dense but it seems that's not the case.

Incredible work, a gold mine, that you've offered up to others following a filmmakers path. I don't know what else you have to do to get an opportunity to work with a big budget, uncompromised by gear limits. But in my mind, that shouldn't be too far away for you. I was glued to this, and I'm not even a filmmaker. Though, for years I've been thinking about doing short films based on my poetry. This BTS will be an invaluable guide in the event I follow through. Well done, man.

You should pick up a camera and start the journey Wayne. I think you'd have something interesting to bring to the table bc of your background in poetry.

Seriously Brotha, that was some intimidating layered next level director thought process stuff. You got some of that good stuff that will make you a name people will know. Thank you for this.

Been a fan of your work for years, Darious! Thank you for making this breakdown. I’m planning to shoot a short film with very little resources, mostly by myself and my actor, due to budget constraints and the pandemic situation here in the Philippines. Your tips always inspire me and push me to become a more resourceful filmmaker. Dunno if you’ll see this, but keep up the amazing work! You inspire thousands world-wide. Thanks for keeping the torch blazing for us.
