There is no British Characteristics in Indian democracy. Indian Democracy works on constitution and even illiterate can vote and providing literacy is the primary goal of government, also it is based on socialism and chinese appeasement.

Some interesting parallels between USSR's Brezhnev and Xi.
He too consolidated many party positions. Got himself appointed Marshal of the Soviet Union, the only one to do so after Stalin. Like Xi's China, under Brezhnev, the soviet military rapidly expanded, and their nuclear weapons and space programs were on par or better than the Americans'. Soviet economic growth peaked under Brezhnev, but started slowing down soon after leading to economic stagnation. Too soon to say, but Xi's China appears to be heading on a similar trajectory. Fear of growing Afghan US ties under Hafizullah Amin, and the possibility it would break away from the Soviet orbit led to the Afghan invasion in 79', which the Soviets believed would be a short campaign. Is Taiwan going to be China's Afghanistan? Probably not. But, the next 10-15 years will certainly be eventful.

Interesting commentary and fairly good presentation.
Problems, however are many and deeper.
Most importantly it does not consider that its actions are deeply loathed around the world. Yes, some part of it is also admiration and jealousy but almost three quarters is loathing.
Secondly, it is blissfully unaware/ casual about the disgruntlement that both the older Chinese i.e. of around 50-60 who sacrificed everything for a strong China but have nothing to look forward to in their older age and the younger Chinese i.e. of age 15+ as they see the world hate them and close its doors to them wherever and whenever it can.
Thirdly, as the control and jingoism grows war rhetoric will go up. As it is, China has only some support from Russia on the technology and military issues, the rest so called supporters are supplicants and have little or nothing to give to China. In fact they chafe and will chafe more as time goes with the Chinese stranglehold and demands on them go up.
Fourth is the army of disgruntled Tibetan, Uighurs, Mongols, Hongkong and Taiwan is actively being wooed by every other country. Yes Muslim countries are just waiting for the AfPakUighur to explode. They have raised their subversive activities manifold.
China is teetering towards disintegration and meltdown. What you see today is the false sunrire, before complete darkness.

China with its large population, limited natural resources and limited land area had to find a solution to feed and house its people and keep them happy.
The word "dictator" implies ruthless tactics used to keep in power and this is not the case for Xi JP.
Xi JP can be removed by the CCP if he do not performed.
The difference in China is that there is only one political party from which a suitable ruler is chosen compare to India where hundreds (?) of opportunistic parties try their luck in seeking power by making promises that will not be kept.
The current result shows that the Chinese system (just do it!) is better than the Indian system (just talk and talk!).

Here is the geography:
(1) China : population about 1,450 millions.
Area about 9.595 millions sqkm.
Had to import oil, gas, coal and iron ores, meat and some grains.
(2) USA : population about 334 millions.
Area about 9.834 millions sqkm.
Export oil, gas (LNG), meat (pork) and grains (soy beans, corns, wheat) to China.
(3) Australia : population about 26 millions.
Area about 7.692 millions sqkm.
Export iron ores, coals, meat (beef and lamb) to China.
So you do your maths and learn who has the per capita advantage of more land mass and the natural resources.
China use their skilled manpower utilizing these imported resources to turn them into useful products to sell to the world.
Thats is the situation now.

You guys still do not understand the meaning and importance of the resolution, even though full texts are in the public domain. But there are some facts about the previous two resolutions. After the 1945 resolution, it only took 3 years for CCP to win the civil war, even though they have much fewer troops and inferior weapons. And China economy’s 40-year high speed growth came after the 1981 resolution.
Most videos that I see from India broadcasting always offer a bies slant on China. However you do a great job in keeping it informative and objective. I like that about you. Thanks!

@Prasenjit Roy I think Nehru instead of being overly confident of Indian British legacy should have accepted Chinese offer of resolving border disputes which were the outcome of British colonial invasions/occupation of Chinese territories. Nehru instead of responding to Chinese offers of dialogues, started cartographic warfare and result was 1962 war. It’s simple!

Hey, it's not the Chinese communist party. It's the Communist party of China. Sure, it's a new Era for China, which per some experts is already the biggest economy on the planet. And the party wants to benefit the people of China through common prosperity, after already establishing moderate prosperity in the country. And all human progress takes place after establishing a theoratical platform, refining it, and then implementing that model practically. Best for us Indians to remain open to new ideas and leave our bias behind.
