Love it!! First looks are a thing at about half my weddings but they're NEVER emotional haha. Whyyyyyy
They aren't all as dramatic as some, but I'm always especially pumped when we get a magical moment during one. No idea why you'd not get as many haha, but I'd say the main thing that I've noticed help get something raw is by making sure the moment stays real. When videographers do a lot of staging for the first look, you can feel it. But if you just let it unfold really naturally and then go back and get some shots of the lead up and such after the fact, you can always do that.

In two and a half years since posting this, nobody mentioned that I forgot those lol! Thanks for pointing it out and I added them in. Our work has improved so much since shooting these, I should probably make a new video with even better ones!

DO YOU MEAN THEY DID NOT KNOW THEM BEFORE THE WEDDING?
No they knew each other. None of these were arranged marriages or anything. But it was the first time the groom was seeing the bride in her wedding dress. Sometimes people wait for this to happen during the ceremony, but it’s becoming more common to do it earlier in the day.
