The whole "Boys in Heat Album is great" Standin the Shadows of Love" "In Motion", and they covered Nazarith's "Hair of the Dog" Dare I say they did it better. So keep up the Britney Fox reactions. THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!
Another band around that time that rocked that no one has ever reacted to is Bang Tango. "Someone Like You" was their only moderate successful song but they had a lot of cool songs.

WOW! I never thought I would see a reaction to a Brittany Fox video. I graduated with the lead singer (Dean Davidson). I remember him playing in the Lincoln High School gymnasium with his band. He was already a rock star. I saw them perform at some local clubs. They were loud. Great reaction. You may want to check out another ban named Heaven's Edge, who were also from the Philadelphia club scene during that era.
I think a VH1 host commented on this music video and its ironic connection to 'Baby one more time' by Britney Spears... Both music videos had Catholic school girls dancing a decade apart. His comment was something like - "In 1988, we got Britney Fox... and a decade later in 1998, we got Britney Spears..." 😂
Another great Philly hair band. The guitarist (Michael Kelly Smith) and drummer (Tony Destra) were original members of Cinderella, with Dizzy Dean Davidson on vocals. They are visually and sound wise very similar to Cinderella. Sadly the drummer died in a car crash in I think 87 or so. They used to rock the Empire Rock Club in Northeast Philly. That place was a hot bed for hair metal in the late 80's. It also produced another Philly hair band in Heavens Edge, you should check them out too.

Long Way to Love is another song that is great with Dean singing. The band he did after Britny Fox is Black eyed Susan and they had some good music too!
I saw Britny Fox live in L.A. in 1988; they and Kix opened for Ratt. It was an awesome show! I headbanged so much my neck hurt for two days afterwards! 😂
Johnny Dee is the drummer. For the last 30 years he's been the drummer for the Metal Queen, Doro Pesch. I just saw him last Saturday in Dusseldorf at her 40th anniversary show (and the day before at a party for the band). We've been friends for 15 years now. He's a great guy. Britny Fox attempted a reunion a little before the pandemic but internal issues with a couple members put a stop to that.
Britny Fox has strong ties to Cinderella another 80's Glam band....Lead Guitarist Michael Kelly Smith & Drummer Tony Destra were both previously in Cinderella. Drummer Tony Destra was killed in a car accident in 1987 as the band was getting popular. He was eventually replaced by Johnny Dee. Check out some other great 80's music from bands like TYKETTO (Burning Down Inside, Sail Away, Seasons, Forever Young, Walk on Fire) & SOUTHGANG (Georgia Lights, Tainted Angel, Aim for the Heart, She's Danger City, Love Ain't Enough, Love for Sale, Misery, My Best Friend's Girl). Those are some overlooked great late 80's early 90's bands that never got the recognition as the music scene was changing to Alternative. Also you gotta give a listen to LIZZY BORDER - Me Agains the World, REDRUM, Shock Treatment.....another great band although they are a bit heavier sound. Also give a listen to SLEEZE BEEZ - Stranger than Paradise, HELIX - Wild in the Streets, Y&T - Summertime Girls there's so many good songs you need to preview!
'Stacy's Mom' by Fountains of Wayne is a very catchy song. The video can easily be related to nearly every young teenage boy... 187 million views and counting...
I have suggested this numerous times in numerous methods . Fountains of Wayne tried to get Ric lead singer of The Cars for video instead they got a kid that looks like him in beginning of video ,the I ❤RIC license plate and at end the copying of scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High which had The Cars - Moving in Stereo as part of soundtrack.
the lead singer and rhythm guitar player is - "Dizzy" Dean Davidson, lead guitar player is - Michael Kelly Smith, bass player is - Billy Childs, and drummer is - Johnny "Dee". this was the original lineup. as with most bands, different members have come and gone over the years. a song by them to listen to next- "Dream On". a few more hair band songs to listen to - Great White - "Rock Me", Firehouse -"love of a lifetime", and Mr. Big - "green tinted sixties mind". it's always great to hear your reactions.
they were originally formed by ex-members of Cinderella. I was, and remain a big fan. The vocalist when not singing in his "screech voice". . sounds a lot like classic Paul Stanley from KISS. . . . I agree with others, check out "Long Way to Love" from them.
Britny Fox "Long Way To Love"was another hit song! Cool video too!🤘🤘 Another great band is Saraya "Love has taken its Toll" Sandi Saraya is a great singer!!
Great reaction to an awesome band from my early hair-metal daze growing up in Philly. And a shout-out to the commenters that remember the late, great Empire Rock Club on Roosevelt Boulevard in NE Philly! I saw Britny Fox perform there in 1991, and I'll never forget that it was the clearest, loudest metal show I can remember in a small club atmosphere. That venue was awesome...😎🎸🎶
im also from philly. seen them a few times. even seen the hooters and the A's. even robert hazzard. and of course cinderella. i even remember a group called (down & out) i think they were out of port richmond.. the empire was awsome.. also seen a bunch of shows at the tower at 69th and market and the TLA on south st. also at the troc on arch... i used to buy all my tapes and vinyl at peaches on the blvd.
As many others have probably stated, band was formed in Philly with former members of Cinderella. No idea if the singer set out to mimic Tom Keifer's singing style or if it is just coincidence. They didn't have the success of the bigger acts of the time, but "Long Way to Love" is a bone fide classic. Also love the much forgotten "Dream On" (not an Aerosmith cover).
If i remember correctly, the lead singer of Britney fox, had a band with, tom keifer from the 80s band Cinderella. This is one of my favorite songs from my childhood growin up 🤘🤘 as a 50 year old dude. Love yall 😊
I was in the 8'th grade in the fall of 1988 when this was brand new. I never heard Girlschool on the radio but Long Way To Love I hear for a good 6 weeks in late Summer 1988. I bought the cassette tape from Camelot Music at the Fashion Square Mall. My personal favorite track from Britney Fox is "Don't Hide"
I love the song, ‘long way from home’ from their second album. Their lead singer Dean Davidson left them after their second album and formed the blues hard rock band, ‘Blackeyed Susan’.
If y'all requesting this why not request the better hair band songs: 1) L.A. Guns - Never Enough 2) Ratt - Wanted Man 3) Blue Murder - Jelly Roll 4) Aerosmith - Deuces are Wild; F.I.N.E. 5)Winger - Can't Get Enuff 6) Cinderella - Bad Seamstress Blues/Falling Apart at the Seams 7) McCauley- Schenker Group - Give Me Your Love 8) Scorpions - Loving You Sunday Morning; I Can't Explain 9) Dangerous Toys - Scared 10 Junkyard - Hollywood 11 Dokken - Burning Like A Flame 12) Faster Pussycat - Poison Ivy, Where There's A Whip 13 ) Whitesnake - Slow N Easy 14) Queensryche - Suite Sister Mary 15)Living Color - Love Rears It's Ugly Head

Hello from northeast Ohio. Even though they had moderate success, I liked this band. The video for this song was filmed in September 1988, the month that I turned 15 years old. That was when MTV was huge, and their Saturday night show called "Headbanger's Ball" was something we all watched each week, and Britny Fox was often played on there. They had another song from this album, called "Long Way To Love", if you would like to react to it. Cheers!
I really miss this music! Gotta try out White Lion "Little Fighter." All I can say is music just kicked butt at that time! I just turned 50 in October and can't believe this is now considered "old "! I remember being so into Michael Jackson Thriller when I was just maybe 9, and then by my early teens, GunsN' Roses ruled my world. You know, what a time to be a kid. It was awesome. The 80s really was a great time, you two. Thank you for this today. I really starting to feel old!
My first exposure to Britny Fox was in high school. I saw them in concert in 89 or 90. They opened for Joan Jett. Been a fan ever since. Thanks for the vid. Love your channel.
Back in the 80s where I think 17 was the age of consent if you listen to Winger “seventeen”, Britney fox in this song, The Police “Don’t stand so close to me “…lol. this stuff wouldn’t fly nowadays at all…80s hair rock was rarely about anything other than partying, girls and having fun…and if you lived that lifestyle during that time these songs were like anthems that take you back like a time machine…..what a great time to be young !,…unfortunately that means I am old now…😂
*I HAVE 4 SUGGESTIONS* *1. ECSTASY-RUSTED ROOT* *2. THERE SHE GOES-THE LA’S* *3. BEAT CITY-FLOWERPOT MEN* *4. BIG LOVE-FLEETWOOD MAC* *All studio versions* *Day 13*
I may be duplicating some previous comments. Dizzy Dean Davidson is the singer. The band name was taken from a Welsh ancestor of Dizzy Dean. "Long Way to Love" is another great song of theirs.
They also had a good cover of Hair of the Dog. Another underated band that actually has several ties to KIss is Black N Blue check out their song Miss Mystery
Dizzy Dean on Vocals and rhythm Guitar, Michael Kelly Smith on Guitar, he used to play in Cinderella. Johnny Dee on Drums and Billy Childs on Bass..325
Dizzy Dean Davidson is the singer of the band for the first two albums and the song Girlschool is on their debut album. Britny Fox has another great song and video for the song Louder which was on their third album from 1991 and that song has a different singer named Tommy Paris who came from the band Jillson.
Glad you guys loved Britney Fox. There were so many good bands of this genre back in the day that maybe it got a little bit busy. Dizzys voice was definitely unique and a major part to the bands success. Long way to love is another absolute belter by theses guys. Oh and if you play guitar, then ‘Girlschool’ isn’t actually that hard to play either. Love you guys and respect from England. How about a reaction to Slaughters ‘fly to the angels’? His voice will blow you out of your home!
“Save The Weak” is a great ballad that they did off the same album. The singer, Dizzy Dean Davidson, would leave the band after their second album and form a new band called Blackeyed Susan. You should check them out as well.
Da Fox Rox!!!! love these guys....I wore out three copies of their debut.....Still on my playlist....Saw them back in the late 80's with Danger Danger, and Tesla on the same bill....Great show all around.
Keeping with the 80s hair bands don't know if you guys ever reacted to a band TNT another very underrated band the singer Tony Harnell absolutely amazing voice the song 10,000 lovers or Seven Seas is a good song to get a taste of what the band is all about very cool that you guys enjoy the 80s hair bands also my favorite genre keep rocking
I actually saw Britny fox live, had only really heard girlschool by them, the were opening RATT and poison , they put on a good show , I even went out and bought the cassette
“Dizzy” Dean Anderson was the singer. I saw them open up for Poison in 1988. Great show! Got to meet Brittany Fox members at a meet and greet earlier in the day before the show. That night was their last show opening for poison, big sold out arena show. They shot the footage for their video “save the weak” I was on the 2nd row
This video was on all the time on MTV right as I was starting high school and it reminds me of just turning 14 and wishing I could look like the girls in the video.
I remember seeing these guys and Kix opening up for RATT in the late 80's. This was the beginning of the end for the hair metal era. When the record labels started flooding the market with copycat bands pumping out generic product. Then the early 90s happened. The alternstive rock bands, the Seattle grunge bands, and the ever increasing hip hop movement buried the corpse of the hair rock era.
This was released towards the end of the hair metal era in 1988. At this point the record industry was saturating the market with any band that had hair and a look. So many bad bands were shoved into MTV and on the radio just to make a buck. Britney Fox, was not as well received as they should have been due to this. They had some great songs and had they arrived a few years earlier they likely would have done better. At this stage of the hair metal era it was getting tired and a new, dirtier sound was on the horizon that would rock heavy but would be stripped down, like Guns N Roses. Saw Britney Fox open for Kix who opened for Ratt and that was a great show. All were incredible live.
Thank you! I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one who was requesting this song. I heard it about 10 years after it was released, and hair metal was dead via grunge. Glad you enjoyed it, just about everyone I know has never heard this song.
Another local band when I was in my late teens, Mike. and Tony the original drummer and the guitarist were original members of Cinderella, Record label Only wanted Tommy, these guys played in all the local bars back when we were young, Johnny Dee The popular lineup drummer and bass player Billy Childs also played in the late 90s for Mike Lecompte Who had a hit with The third lineup of Tangier, Johnny also played drums for An 80s version of waysted,Pete Way of UFO’s band with Danny Vaughn of Tyketto On vocals, he now tours with Doro, the original vocalist Dean Formed black-eyed Susan, Tommy Paris took over on vocals and currently plays keyboards in a band with lead vocalist the count as most know him from the show counting cars, seen them live and they are great, that guitar at the end is (stage name) Michael Kelly Smith, the original heavier Sound of Cinderella before Jeff
i know i am way late to this video, but Britny Fox are easily one of my favorites, and probably one of the most underrated bands of that time. Songs are so, so simple, yet they are all absolute bangers! great reaction guys! this made me happy!
It’s actually “Girlschool”. Their only Hot 100 single, “Long Way To Love”, spent two weeks at #100.

Glad you guys finally got to check out Britny Fox!! They are awesome!!
Britney fox long way to love
Louder and Closer to your love are great songs.
Hey I have something special for you ❤
Glad you loved Cinderella II, next up on the Hair Metal front, “Tora Tora” and the song “Guilty”.
Hey I have something special for you ❤..
Would totally dig you guys being introduced to Winger!! Seventeen…thanks
Mandilane is another good tune.
Down Incognito
🔥🔥🔥Time for more Poison! I Want Action, or Fallen Angel.....THEY ROCK!!🤘🤘
Hey I have something special for you ❤
'Stacy's Mom' by Fountains of Wayne is a very catchy song.
You have got to check out" long way to love" by Britny Fox ! It's their best song by far!
More? You've pretty much heard all they had to offer. These guys were barely a one-hit wonder on the 80s hair metal scene. Truly a blip on the radar.
Hey I have something special for you ❤
the lead singer and rhythm guitar player is - "Dizzy" Dean Davidson, lead guitar player is - Michael Kelly Smith, bass player is - Billy Childs, and drummer is - Johnny "Dee". this was the original lineup. as with most bands, different members have come and gone over the years. a song by them to listen to next- "Dream On". a few more hair band songs to listen to - Great White - "Rock Me", Firehouse -"love of a lifetime", and Mr.

Hey I have something special for you ❤..
Yes,yes,yes,yes,yes!!!!
Great Tune, Blasted that tune out from 280ZX T-Tops off cruising out on the road nothing to care about except Rock-N-Roll
One of the most underrated rock bands...if you want another great song from them try "Long way to love". One of their best!!
Hey I have something special for you ❤
Great reaction to an awesome band from my early hair-metal daze growing up in Philly.
If y'all requesting this why not request the better hair band songs:
1) L.A. Guns - Never Enough
2) Ratt - Wanted Man
3) Blue Murder - Jelly Roll
4) Aerosmith - Deuces are Wild; F.I.N.E.
5)Winger - Can't Get Enuff
6) Cinderella - Bad Seamstress Blues/Falling Apart at the Seams
7) McCauley- Schenker Group - Give Me Your Love
8) Scorpions - Loving You Sunday Morning; I Can't Explain
9) Dangerous Toys - Scared
10 Junkyard - Hollywood
11 Dokken - Burning Like A Flame
12) Faster Pussycat - Poison Ivy, Where There's A Whip
13 ) Whitesnake - Slow N Easy
14) Queensryche - Suite Sister Mary
15)Living Color - Love Rears It's Ugly Head
Bro, I think they have Ratt in their library… 😎
@@GMad-sc4uk my baby broke all the rules at the girlschool and stayed after school, acting real cool, now she lives on the street and does meth all day

Britny Fox formed in 1985 in Philadelphia. The band was originally fronted by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist "Dizzy" Dean Davidson. Excerpt taken from Wikipedia.
Cheers!
Hey I have something special for you ❤....
Britney Fox aka Cinderella Light
Love that you guys reviewed this. Try Cinderella - "Gypsy Rose" and "Coming Home".
I just turned 49 in October and I totally agree, we grew up on the best music!!! It was such a great time to grow up!
Hey I have something special for you ❤
"Wait" is another good tune.
The 80’s RULED!!!!!!!!
Bands like this everywhere!!!! Sooo much fun discovering them!!!
Hey I have something special for you ❤
FINALLY...I've been preachin' them for years. Now you gotta check out Long Way To Love by them.
Hey I have something special for you ❤
OK hold up, now you need to do Winger - Seventeen.
I want to watch Gen Z listen to that song so I can see them meltdown at the lack of trigger warnings.
Yes! Winger's "Seventeen" and the tender "Headed For A Heartbreak".
Battle Stations!!!
..... This is a BADAZZ song!! Grew up a little boy watching this video over and over. Britny Fox ROCKS.
My first exposure to Britny Fox was in high school. I saw them in concert in 89 or 90. They opened for Joan Jett. Been a fan ever since.
Thanks for the vid. Love your channel.
I saw them open for Joan Jett too! It was at the submarine base in Groton Connecticut when I was in the navy😄
The 80s had so many awesome underrated bands just like these guys. When they played they brought the sound.
Back in the 80s where I think 17 was the age of consent if you listen to Winger “seventeen”, Britney fox in this song, The Police “Don’t stand so close to me “…lol. this stuff wouldn’t fly nowadays at all…80s hair rock was rarely about anything other than partying, girls and having fun…and if you lived that lifestyle during that time these songs were like anthems that take you back like a time machine…..what a great time to be young !,…unfortunately that means I am old now…😂
Hey I have something special for you ❤
*I HAVE 4 SUGGESTIONS*
*1. ECSTASY-RUSTED ROOT*
*2. THERE SHE GOES-THE LA’S*
*3. BEAT CITY-FLOWERPOT MEN*
*4. BIG LOVE-FLEETWOOD MAC*
*All studio versions*
*Day 13*
Hey I have something special for you ❤
I may be duplicating some previous comments. Dizzy Dean Davidson is the singer. The band name was taken from a Welsh ancestor of Dizzy Dean. "Long Way to Love" is another great song of theirs.
Another great song is from brittney fox called save the weak 🤘
They also had a good cover of Hair of the Dog. Another underated band that actually has several ties to KIss is Black N Blue check out their song Miss Mystery
Hey I have something special for you ❤
Check out "Hold On To 18" as well.
@@richkrulac7994 Great song choice as well.
Hey I have something special for you ❤..
“Save The Weak” is a great ballad that they did off the same album. The singer, Dizzy Dean Davidson, would leave the band after their second album and form a new band called Blackeyed Susan. You should check them out as well.
Hey I have something special for you ❤
Enuff Znuff - New Thing is another glam metal band I hope you check out.
Da Fox Rox!!!! love these guys....I wore out three copies of their debut.....Still on my playlist....Saw them back in the late 80's with Danger Danger, and Tesla on the same bill....Great show all around.
Hey I have something special for you ❤..
I'm surprised 80's hair band fans haven't suggested Faster Pussycat, they were fantastic.
How quickly we forget.
Where to begin is the question?
@@MS-ro9dm - My favorites are "Poison Ivy" and "House Of Pain"
Great songs. I was thinking Poison Ivy also. Or Bathroom Wall. @@Robsan40
But, I would not recommend the Poison Ivy video. @@Robsan40
House of pain
I liked the 80’s, but I’m a Boomer, the 60’s & 70’s were my best yrs for music…to each their own👍👏👏👏
I remember seeing these guys and Kix opening up for RATT in the late 80's.
Hey I have something special for you ❤
Thank you! I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one who was requesting this song. I heard it about 10 years after it was released, and hair metal was dead via grunge. Glad you enjoyed it, just about everyone I know has never heard this song.
This video used to be on MTV nonstop when it came out.
Bullettboys - might make you blush
Guitarist and drummer left Cinderella before they were signed to form Britney Fox. That's why there is so much similarity between the two.
Shotgun Messiah next. There another underrated band.
Seen Brittany Fox in concert. Good times.
A couple of songs they did in the early 90s i liked called Six guns loaded and Closer to your love. Probably not hits but they do rock!
Check out " one bad son" they're from Saskatchewan Canada. Lead singer has a axel Rose sound.
White snake live...BURN!!! The epitome of 80s hair metal 😊
Hey I have something special for you ❤
Yes!! I've been hoping you get to this band! So underrated. 🤘😃
Not underrated.
Their song “Dream On” is one of my favorites from the genre
Rolling Stones - Miss You. You will love it. Guaranteed!
i know i am way late to this video, but Britny Fox are easily one of my favorites, and probably one of the most underrated bands of that time. Songs are so, so simple, yet they are all absolute bangers! great reaction guys! this made me happy!
