  • I've finally found the time to put together a video on my workflow for editing gig photographs. This video covers the basic steps that I take for pretty much every shot and looks at editing both a colour and black & white image.

    5:04 The lens corrections have already been done if needed so you won't see a difference. Some lenses will have the corrections baked in and you can't undo/disable them, some lenses will have profile information in Lightroom and it will select/enable automatically from the list (but you can still disable/adjust them), some lenses like fully manual (as in no electronics) you have to manually tell Lightroom what lens was used (if you can remember haha) and it'll correct it accordingly. In this case with your body+lens you don't need to do anything, if you try with some random lenses it'll all make more sense.

    Great ideo! It's nice to peek beyond the curtain at your editing techniques and practices. Its given me a lot to think about for when I do some more portraits.
