I can relate to THIS story. I'm from Bridgeport Connecticut. I was at the Norwalk in the water boat show in the late 90s. My father had passed away in 94 and left me an obscene amount of money. I hadn't really spent any of it seeing how I had my own business. Walked onto a yacht and the salesperson looked at me like I was from Mars. Made some remarks assuming the worst, I pulled out my financial statement and in 30 seconds he was trying to be my best friend. Stuff like THIS really happens even if you happen to be Caucasian lol. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...
Happened to my son when he wanted to buy an expensive watch. They refused to show it to him, saying they only showed them to people that could afford it. Don't know how much money he had on him, but he pulls out this wad of cash, showed it to them, and walked out.
"That is an outright lie! You assumed because I was a black man that I couldn't afford this boat! You wouldn't even allow me to get on it to look at it!" This line gets me every time 😄 Determined to stand up to a racist at the finest 🙌 Glad the sales girl was fired.
I’ve experienced this as well , being a black man is an honor and I treat all people with respect no matter there color of their skin. I never judge people by their skin color. You could miss an golden opportunity people. So be careful with whom you speak too and how you’re speaking too them.
"I don't want to deal with that lady" is the same way I felt when I watched it. There's no use in wasting time with people who assume you are lower than they are. Someone will provide excellent service so why be stressed with a misguided person?
Sad part is, this crap happens all the time. A guy wouldn’t even entertain me making an offer on his 70 Chevelle SS, because he thought I couldn’t afford it, and then even accused me of being a drug dealer because I offered cash of 57k when he was asking for 64k, in which it is totally normal in this business to offer cash to get the car cheaper than the asking price and avoid banks, money transfers, and paper trails. But, rather than sale to me, the dummy hires a broker who puts his car in a show room and takes a 20% cut of the sale if and when he sales it. I went to the show room and the broker showed me 3 Chevelles and the jerks car was one of them. I immediately recognized the car and offered 50k and we negotiated to 55k and the broker gets 20% of that which is 11k leaving the seller with 44k. So this bigoted idiot lost out on having 57k to only receiving 44k because he didn’t believe I could afford the car because I’m black. I met him again when I showed back up at the show room to get the car and made sure I let him know how stupid he is. The look on his face was priceless.
This is a typical stereotype, I went to a dealership to look at a luxury vehicle and salesperson tried to sell me a used vehicle, he had to assume I could not afford the luxury vehicle and I walked out and never came back. Dummy.
Yeah I wanted to see him hand a bag with 400k and the owner say wow now I have an extra 40k... Proceed to see the owner partying and doing a line of coke in a night club vip section while throwing money in the air as the new owner is revealed to be the club's boss refusing a waitress job application from the agent.

This happened many years ago. My father was a contractor and used a cement contractor for a number of years, who was black. The black man said he was looking at trucks for his business and could not get anyone to wait on him. He was in his work clothes. He went across the street to another dealership and bought 5 trucks that day. I never forgot that story from the early 1960’s.
Never judge a person based on the color of their skin and Shannon had it coming and Shannon, in the immortal words of WWE Chairman Vincent Kennedy McMahon: "Shannon, YOU'RE FIRRRRRED"
I worked for a car dealership and made a lot of sales to those people that the other salespeople thought couldn't afford certain cars. I learned not to judge. You can't tell who has money by their clothes.
This situation reminds me of a person I use to work with. It all started when I had some coworkers complimenting me on a really nice car that I own and that was featured in a car magazine. I make it a point to not drive this particular car regularly because it is primarily a show car. In fact, I have never driven this car to work. I have my daily driver that I go to work with and zip around town in. This particular rude person I worked with at the time got wind of me having a really fancy car and said to me in reference to my daily driver, "I saw your car in the parking lot & it's a beater, it's not fancy." I was like really? This was so off putting for several reasons. 1st, my "beater" was a brand new car. 2nd, that was incredibly rude and lastly, for obvious reasons this person didn't appear to want to accept the fact that I have a car beyond the one she could see in the parking lot.
This skit was well acted, one could almost believe it was really happening. I’m convinced that there are two groups of people who deny the existence of racism; those who are never subjected to it, and those who practice it. More often than not, they’re one and the same. That yacht broker was a member of both groups, and it was deliberate on her part. Easily identifiable and solvable. But the dangerous ones don’t see themselves as racist; things are the way they are because it’s the “natural order”. This is particularly insidious because nobody looks for solutions if they don’t know there’s a problem.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...
Happened to my son when he wanted to buy an expensive watch. They refused to show it to him, saying they only showed them to people that could afford it. Don't know how much money he had on him, but he pulls out this wad of cash, showed it to them, and walked out.

Their means possession and ",there" is where to go ie over their.
To is an action word, ie a verb to go, to eay, sit, feed etc. "Too" means also.
"I don't want to deal with that lady" is the same way I felt when I watched it. There's no use in wasting time with people who assume you are lower than they are. Someone will provide excellent service so why be stressed with a misguided person?

Extended ending : this black person couldnt afford the boat and stole it
Sad part is, this crap happens all the time. The look on his face was priceless.
lol got his ass😂
That smile at the end.

It’s sad to say” that’s our present reality”. Thanks for the video, it always reminds me of how not to treat people by how they may look.
This is a typical stereotype, I went to a dealership to look at a luxury vehicle and salesperson tried to sell me a used vehicle, he had to assume I could not afford the luxury vehicle and I walked out and never came back. Dummy.

Brings back way too many incidents in my 66 years. Disturbing memories of false assumptions and outright dismissals. Could not enjoy this skit because the outcome is seldom as satisfying as depicted. Usually I was left to take my business elsewhere. Even complaining about treatment was met with shrugs. NEVER spend where you're not welcome. Otherwise you're paying for abuse.
Fully agree the outcome is hardly so positive and fair. Prejudice and racism are two poisons that are far worse than COVID 😞

Love Your Channel, Thank You for Sharing! Blessings!
The fact that a great majority of people that are commenting think that this is real and not actors trying to prove a point kinda makes my head hurt.
Why would he go all the way there just to not afford it? It's like going all the way to foot locker with no money to buy kicks
@Hannibal Kelil, Exactly!!! 👍🏽
