That's like breaking things and putting them back like nothing happened. People like that don't change, they only try to be nice to avoid consequences. Officer Jenson is lucky to not have been given the boot. Better to have the night shift than to be dismissed.

TBH I don't think it's fair that the chief only gave the promotion to the man after finding out that it was his mom's neighbor, just helping any elderly and risking being late to meeting the new chief which could've meant that he would not be able to get the promotion should've been enough to get the promotion.
