I was in Amsterdam last January and got there right as it opened, had the majority of the museum to myself for almost an hour. What an amazing museum!

Rick, you are an amazing man.
Last year I was at the gym when I saw your episode about Prague on T.V.
I was thinking, "Who is this guy? Why haven't I known him before?" After that, I searched you up online and I began to watch your other episodes. I was immediately hooked. Your videos have introduced me to many countries I never even knew about, along with their music, culture, artwork, famous landmarks, and history!
Since then, you have inspired me to learn more languages. You have also sparked my interest in traveling the world!
Keep up the great work! :)

Its a great rijksmuseum, what means something like 'National museum'.
The museum mainly highlights the 17th century as a 'rich' and 'fertile' period. While the south of the Netherlands served as a battlefield for the Eighty Years' War.
The Golden Age of Brabant hardly occurs in the Rijksmuseum.
Strange, because this period has ensured that Amsterdam is the city it is today.
Vincent van Gogh is from the south of the Netherlands 'Brabant'. Four Dutch museums are named after him, Van Goghhouse Zundert, Vincetre in Nuenen, The Van Goghhouse in Drenthe and the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam.

I've been at Rijksmusem twice and I keep these marvellous memories, I particularly loved the still life paintings: Floris van Dijck "still life with cheeses " and Willem Claesz Heda "still life with gilt goblet" are my favourites! Great Rijksmuseum, great Netherlands! Even thought in Italy we don't have shortage of masterpieces of art...
