  • The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, is one of the most popular museums in the world. It opened in 1800 and has been in the present building since 1885. It has a collection of 1 million objects and over 8,000 are on display. We will see over 70+ pieces of art, from the 17th Century Dutch Masters like Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Hals, to 19th Century artists like Van Gogh, to the Middle Ages, and we will see the Navy Models Gallery as well. As we walk through the Rijksmuseum, Dutch history will unfold before our eyes.

🙏 Enjoyed your presentation. While visiting Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum with local friends we also enjoyed a sit-down lunch break in it's comfortable cafeteria. Very much regret missing the dedicated Vermeer exhibition. Fascinating how tranquil his scenes are when his personal life and the economy of the then Republic of the Seven United Netherlands were anything but. THANK you !

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I certainly spent a lot of time researching everything. I don't know if you're interested in seeing my Vermeer exhibition videos but you can click on Part 1 at the end of the Rijksmuseum video.
