Many people have been using berberine for weight loss and are seeing amazing results! Find out why berberine is referred to as “nature’s Ozempic!"
0:00 Introduction: Is berberine a natural Ozempic?
    1:13 What is berberine?
    1:24 The benefits of berberine
    1:35 Berberine vs. Metformin
1:56 How does berberine work for weight loss?
4:00 Berberine dosage and side effects
Today, we’re going to talk about berberine. People all over social media are calling berberine a natural Ozempic, but if you do a quick Google search, you may have doubts.
There are several claims that berberine can give you diarrhea, gas, constipation, and stomachaches, and can even be fatal in large amounts. There are also claims that berberine can’t work as a substitute for Ozempic because there isn’t enough research.
Berberine is a phytochemical found in various plants that has numerous health benefits, especially for blood sugar. It has even been compared to Metformin, a popular drug used to treat type 2 diabetes.
The potential health benefits of berberine:
    • Helps with insulin resistance
    • Helps lower blood sugar
    • Helps to activate vitamin D
    • Supports longevity
    • Has antiarrhythmic properties
    • Helps decrease the risk of a fatty liver
    •Has neuroprotective properties
    • Helps make chemotherapy/radiation more efficient
    • Reduces gluconeogenesis
Many health problems are related to problems with the mitochondria. Berberine increases the number of mitochondria (mitochondrial biogenesis), helps clean up damaged mitochondria, and makes mitochondria more efficient.
Berberine, in small amounts, has very few, if any, side effects! Combined with keto, intermittent fasting, and exercise, you could experience significant results when taking berberine.

Assuming that Berberine is derived from Berberis (likely Berberis darwinii), permaculture gardeners are already recommending this plant is included in permaculture schemes, since the berries are edible.
Looking at the tablets, I noticed they are brilliant yellow, much like the roots of Berberis darwinii, Mahonia media (which also produces edible blue berries) and nettle roots (also said to have medical properties).
I know nettle roots can be made into a tea or tea blend, and I believe I have heard the same said of Berberis (at least the species I have mentioned).
Luckily, I bought 30 of these plants while they were still very cheap during the pandemic. Haven't seen them around so much of late, but I will be taking care of that berry crop this year, that's a certainty.

His video on Ozempic is nonsense! *Ozempic is a Miracle Life Saving Drug for people who cannot control their Diabetes.* I only pay $7.70 for it here in Australia. You exaggerate the side effects. Minor side effects only effect 5% to 10% of those using it. Thyroid Cancer? Ozempic does NOT product Thyroid Cancer in normal people, but it clearly states it should NOT be used on people with a family history of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplastic Syndrome. Same for Retinopathy. It should NOT be used for people who already have Retinopathy or Macular Edema because it will make these conditions worse. Muscle loss happens when you lose weight and don't exercise, so ALL Diets lead to muscle loss! Ozempic does NOT cause Kidney Disease, that is a load of bullocks! Do you plan on taking this for the rest of your life? Well yes, just like Diabetics have to take Metformin for the rest of their lives. Herbs do not cure Diabetes. I know because I spent hundreds of dollars on them without helping me one iota!

Metformin gives constant diarrhea and kills my appetite, my Dr tried it during pregnancy and I felt awful, lost so much weight, not good when you're growing a baby. Now I just take insulin. After baby, I'm going back to Berberine!!! But I do believe it put me in better overall health prior to baby which is excellent. Being pregnant, I have an aversion to meat & most processed foods. I'm interested to see what happens after I deliver, now that I'm eating so much cleaner.

Thank you for doing this video Dr. Berg. I saw one of those videos a few months back & it almost stopped me from taking berberine. Thankfully I decided to go ahead and try it.
I have been taking it with great success. I even take it during my longer day fasts ( up to 5 days but I have alot of weight to lose). It makes fasting for me much easier. I take 500mg 3x daily. I did have a bit of loose stool first few days but frankly for me nothing new. Now I have no issues. I recommend trying it especially uf you have PCOS or are post menopausal. Just my thoughts

Most doctors won't advise someone to stop taking a prescribed medication and to take a supplement instead that has not been approved by the FDA or patented. The doctors likely won't advise people who are not their patients to no longer take their prescription meds because they don't know your medical history so advising you to no longer take your prescribed meds could put you at risk and be a liability. I hope this makes sense.
