My name is Morgan and I'm a 20-something living in Chicago who loves thrifting, slow fashion (slow living in general), caring for the planet, tea (the liquid kind and the dramatic kind), being outdoors, having deep conversations, having frivolous conversations, and of course making silly lil videos. I seriously love the “unhinged” part of your video. That’s exactly what I did during my twenties, took pictures of every clothing item and made combinations, only there was no notion then so I used a private pinterest board and oh god it was so tedious. Hours and hours of arranging; That’s probably the reason why I’m currently a minimalist.

I used to do tracking during the pandemic. I made moodboards more for vibes and goals then just clothes. Sometimes I would make them with clothes I already have. And I would use Google sheets. However post pandemic costs went up and varied too much for me to be able to keep up. My personal spending budget went way down. So now I work with a wishlist and most things I need ill find a way to get it really cheap or gifted.

Could you do a tutorial on how you set all that up in Notion? So cool

Thank you! So glad you like it :) Not gonna lie though a lot of the set up is very complicated, especially for the financial tracker - I spent months perfecting it and I'm not sure I could properly explain how to do it. That's why I created the templates that are linked in the description, so that people can utilize the systems without going through the headache that was setting it up. 😅

Your wishlist method helped me so much this year with clothing shopping! I bought way less because I really thought about the use case for each item and it made me think about if I just wanted something because it was trendy.

I don’t know how it could be done or if this is already a thing, but if you put QR code tags on your hangers and have your clothes assigned to the hangers - that way each day all you have to do is scan the hanger and it uploads to your tracker that you wore it? I’m not sure how to make it happen, but if you make the service or someone on here knows of a way to make that happen I think it would be a really cool idea to track things. I know it could be a bit redundant to some and only fit a small niche, but I am one of the people trying to be as conscious as possible about it yet also struggle to keep multiple logs that I have to type or write at a time. I use my phone all the time tho, so taking a picture and that’s it feels more doable. I do that already, plus the turning the hanger tip (like put them all backwards and turn them forwards again once you use them to see what you do and don’t wear), but my camera roll is unhinged at this point lol. If you or anyone else reading this has any suggestions, I’d love the feedback or suggestions 😄

Would love to see a tour of some of the other parts of your Notion outside of clothing/finances! I love seeing what other people are doing with theirs and it looks like you have a great system for organizing a bunch of different aspects of your life. ☺

Hi have you found or seen any correlation of spending habits with menstrual cycle?
I just noticed this month I tend to like to replenish, stock up and shop during my pre-menstrual week, not sure if this is some sort of biological preparation mindset but seems to be.

I love that you included different certifications and eco conscious terminologies to help with intentional purchasing. Especially how you combined brands with how much you’ve bought from them. It could also really help when it comes to sorting out greenwashing vs legitimate eco friendly products. I’m trying to learn more about the different labels, so if you could either do a video or direct towards resources that would be super helpful if you have the time. Love the set up though! 🫶🏻

Wanted to add, I’m currently going through the process of creating a capsule wardrobe type thing basically trying to get down to just the basics that best accentuate my personal style. So I’ve been going down the rabbit hole that is seasonal analysis, Kibbe, Kitchener essences, etc etc… that said, I used to have a borderline shopping addiction and the past few years I’ve been trying to change things for the environment, political reasoning (dollar = vote), mental health, and to help save money to help me get to my goals sooner and be able to live more comfortably on a tighter budget (about to move to a more expensive city, so I’m trying to use this as like a practice run of sorts)… anyway, all that said, this content is super helpful for a variety of different reasons and there’s a lot of exploration within this that could be done (making content wise for your channel and/or Etsy)
