A medley of finger style tunes " Angelina Baker into Old Joe Clark" Played on the tricone Resonator Guitar I just finished at the Lightnin Bug Custom Reosphonics Shop"
+Izzy's Music Productions Have you gotten fingerpicking yet? It's easy, but you just need TONS of practice. I tried multiple times to get it right, but gave up out of frustration. Then I picked it up again, and actually did it.
Seriously cool picking, sir. Got my first resonator (a tricone similar to that one) coming for my birthday next month. Was planning on slide, but fingerstyle it must now be....
Smokin guitar. Very nice playing too. I can't play Angelina Baker. Sometimes your song sounded like 'Green Green Rocky Road' by Von Ronk. I have a 2008 National MR-1 Resophonic Mandolin that sounds like raccoons mating on the 1st fret F note on the E string. I think this would make a movie star tri-cone. Wanna try?
oh yeah. I play bluegrass on my lap and looking to change sounds and I find a lot of delta blues demos which are like foreign movies with audio dubs. this was nice to hear a familiar tune on a different style instrument.
LOVE it. Tryin' to work on my thumb to get it more independent from my other fingers. Any suggestions on how to speed that along? Anyway, beautiful instrument and just awesome playing! Such a magical sound.
absolutely wonderful down home playin'.. love it
What an absolute joy to find this video. Excellent playing and beautiful guitar.

Beautiful resonator and beautiful playing brother!
Beautiful, Mr. Cook. Boy, I wish I could visit you and sing a bit and remember where 'my friends and I spent many an afternoon'.

What is the best polish to use on that nickel?
Awful nice guitar and playing, thanks for posting God bless stay safe Rock on 🙏😷🎶❗
mind sharing what tuning you are playing in?
+Dan Banks It's a drop D tuning
A lot of people try to bear down too hard in their fingerpicking just like strumming. Unrushed makes for a better tone.
I used to polish and polish. Then I decided I would rather play. My tarnishs look fine. And I stop deafening inocent people.
sexy little thing this one HAHAHAA
