Love the message of making it your own-as a GW fan since the 90s I felt the maker spirit and TTRPG background was very much central to the ethos of the GW brain trust. For the 15-20 years before competitive play was even on the radar, creativity *was* the hobby!
Yeah, I grew up through that earlier time. When White Dwarf was filled with pages of kitbashes and scratch builds. I try to still keep that in my armies.
