Looks like the perfect size compartment to put the kids.
Or me (Matt) lol
Great video of a smooth, concisely explained, well executed installation. Not surprising, coming from you guys. Great job 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for the kind words 🙂
Thanks for this video (3rd times the charm). Just installed mine this morning and this was really helpful as the directions provided were really lacking. Tip for the lower rear bolts that attach the rear panel is to use a piece of painters tape in the socket to hold the nut in the socket until you can get it threaded on the bolt.
Great tip! The bottom bolts are just within reach making it very tricky to get the nuts started. The tape idea would have been great.
Appreciate all your videos on broncos guys. Thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
I was considering a TUFFY type steel encloser, but I like this more. Thanks for the video. Looks like it will work pretty well to prevent most casual thieves.
Great Video. Thank you for sharing the details on this as it is an accessory that is on my list. I'm glad to see a little room behind the seats to enable strapping a few items to the panel.
So far the MOLLE panels on the 3 walls has been awesome! I have been exploring all sorts of optional items to mount.
Great video! This is a must have with the soft top in my opinion.
It definitely adds to the piece of mind. We have our doors off 95% of the time and it would cause anxiety while out in public even if it was just our JBL back there.
Nice job! Answers a lot of questions about the enclosure! I might be going this route for my hard top. Thanks for the effort to make the install video! ✌️
You're welcome, glad it helped!
Looks like a great option for that added security. Thanks for the detailed video. Excellent job.
Thanks for watching!
You guys keep reading mind. I was just researching these locking enclosures the last few days. Thanks again for the informative video.
You're welcome, I hope it helped you with some questions that you may have had.
Great video. Well shot and edited. So many install videos are SO BAD. You guys are doing right. Thank you! I'm going to go install my deluxe enclosure in my badlands now.
I hope install goes quickly, I am glad the video was helpful to you.
Another great vid Pickens! Thanks🤙🏾
Thank you!
Love finding out about these Ford OEM options!
I love the enclosure and my wife, the OBX owner, ordered this system right after I showed her. Keeping those shopping days secure is a must!
Keep up the channel!
We also have upgraded the speakers with FOCAL based on your channel.
I'm a Toyota man myself but your channel and driving "Her Bronco" is fun. Can't wait to see more content so I can hint things to my her.
This thing really is awesome, especially for us ladies that like to do some shopping 😉 Thank you for the support and hopefully you find some more fun stuff to add to your wife's Bronco in the future!
It's nice to see how easy this install was.
The more you do it, the easier it gets 🤣
You guy’s literally read my mind, I was just about to ask how to install this! Thanks!!!
🙂 glad it helped!
That was the best intro ever! Thanks for the videos, I enjoy them!
Thank you! I am glad you enjoy them.
Looks like another accessory I’ll have to pick up once my Bronco is built next month. Thanks for the great content 💪
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Very nice instruction. Thank you!
Happy to help!
Hey thanks for posting this. I too, got mine with Ford Points. It sat in a box in my garage for over a year. Decided to repair the slab in the garage so, easiest way to deal with this thing was to install it. Yer vid helped bunches as the Ford instructions linked like they were photocopied 500 times or something. Totally illegible.
Anyway, thanks again - appreciate it!
A must have for a soft top for locking up items in your back cargo area.
I agree!
I love all the tips for pre thinking before installing the cargo system. Great video guys don’t ever stop making videos that is now your job from now on hahaha idk what I would do without seeing all the fun stuff you guys get into haha :-)
😂
You guys have the best content especially when it comes to accessories. Can you show it in actual use and and how it has worked from yku from day to day. Please keep up the good work
Thank you so much! We will likely do a follow up review on it, once we use it for a while.
Great video. Don't have my Bronco yet, but when I do I plan to get one of these. Your video basically sold it for me. I want to ride around with my dog in the cargo area and I like that you can remove the top piece and the sides still stay in place. Nicely done.
Thanks! We did get a great test with our dogs. We removed the top/lid which took a couple minutes at most. Had our luggage strapped to the side Molle panel and our dog had over half of the cargo area. Worked great for a 7 hour drive.
Curious, did you guys measure diagonally inside the enclosure? I've seen a couple other people ask about Golf Clubs fitting and that would be great to know. Thanks!
@@tylermccall1 I haven’t, sorry.
Wonderful video! Thank you! That enclosure looks like an animal cage!
Thank you! It really does look like a cage.
Great video. I’ve been debating on getting this accessory. The one draw back is losing the pass through. It’s great to see how easy it is to install though. Thank you! 👍
In reality you should be able to remove the four bolts that secure the seatback panel and leave the side walls and top installed if you needed to have a pass through in a pinch.
I am surprised they did not add a panel in the seat back section to allow a pass through however I assume that would have been more difficult to secure?
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Thank you for that. I was wondering if that would be possible or if it all had to be together. Maybe they will make another one that has a pass through solution built in. I am really looking forward to seeing all of the aftermarket accessories that will be coming out for these.
Thanks for the reply. Keep creating! 👊👍
This looks awesome but I want the pass through. I’ll probably get it and try and figure out a quick detach bolt or cotter pin type option.
I was thinking the same! It wouldn't be difficult however it would reduce the security unless you maybe added a hole for a pad lock or something to make it a little more difficult for someone.
Great job.
Thank you!
Thank you for making this video (and for keeping your older videos up...they're a great reference source). I actually went ahead and bought my enclosure based entirely on this video; the dimensions you provide were a great help. I've yet to install mine quite yet (my Bronco is heading for a hopefully brief stay at the dealer) but this already shows me a few things I want to try changing when I finally get around to doing so (i.e. why are quick-release nuts used in the lower corners (where they eat into space) but *not* for the lid hinges, where you would actually want to quickly remove a panel?
I am glad you found the video helpful! I hope you enjoy your bronco!
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV ...so...having FINALLY gotten around to installing this, all I can say is...HOLY ****; YOU DID THIS THREE DIFFERENT TIMES?! Once is enough in my book...Tuffy's manufacturing tolerances (at least on the one I received) are godawful, making bolting that back panel a total pain.
Thanks , I have one of these on order with my dealer
It comes in handy :)
I just put this thing in my Bronco - this video was PERFECT - the instructions that came with it were done by some Chinese 3rd grader - they were horrific - your video was super concise, and got me done in half the time it would have taken me if I had to use those ridiculous documents sent by Ford.
We are glad it was helpful to you, enjoy your enclosure!
Great install I drop stuff alot aswell I got a magnet on a stick.
That's a good idea!
Nice. You all thinking about installing a tailgate table. That would make a nice addition
Yes, I need to make sure that it is compatible with the enclosure. It is on our list for sure if it doesn't interfere with the enclosure!
You gave met he best idea to spend my points on now :D GREAT video, stinks you had to film it 3 times but came out great!
Thanks, glad it helped!
Thanks again for the walk through. Helped a ton on my install. Have you found a way to keep the rear from opening if top is down or window is broken into and someone reaches in and hits the door unlock? Seems that that opens the rear hatch door.
No, but there are vaults that you can get.
What about if it rains while your out? Will it keep it somewhat dry? Thanks for the video, I don’t own a Bronco but I help build them and love seeing everyone doing different things with their trucks. 👍
Thanks for watching and thanks for building these amazing machines!
Been there. Technology is a blessing and a headache!!
Isn't that the truth!
Awesome, question what’s the measurements on ho deep it is. ( till that raised bottom floor and the rear gate to the seats. )
The carpeted section of the floor is 31.5" to the door. If you go above the lip to the door it is 33.5". The top of the enclosure to the door is 32".
Thank you for this video! Installed this along with the cargo drawer. Unfortunately I’m getting a lot of rattling. I’ve double checked the installation and I’m really hoping I can figure where it’s coming from and how to fix it. Very frustrating. Anyone else have this issue? I heard the author of the video say they haven’t experienced any rattles. I’m really hoping to be able to figure it out and keep this because it’s very nice.
Edit: I double checked and one bolt wasn’t tightened all the way and the washer was rattling. All good now. Super happy.
I have had mine over a year and still no rattles, sorry to hear you are having rattling issues.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV I think I found the issue. There are two rubber seals I missed. One looks like it attaches to the rear bottom panel. Is that correct? The other thinner one I have no idea where that one goes.
How are you going to mount ur speakers?
Hey, thanks for taking the time to record this, what is the rattle like when going on rougher roads, bumps etc? Had one of these in a Jeep, great product but was a bit loud in rough rides.
I haven't had any rattling, surprisingly! I am very happy with it!
This is a great accessory for security definitely. I never owned a vehicle like this, I’m definitely investing in this product.
Will you guys add any protection for the body & doors of the Bronco?
What sort of protection are you referring too? Something like a paint protecting film? If so, we are not certain yet? We might go with a ceramic coating but haven't made up our minds just yet.
Great video!! I have been trying to figure out a security solution since i switched my order to soft top and this cleared a lot up about this option!
I just have one important question:
- With the enclosure lid closed, soft top closed, and the rear seats down; could I fit a 5 foot ladder across the top of this enclosure facing down behind the front seats at an angle OR even just across the the top of the enclosure flat? If you have the measurement from the back of the soft top (at the highest point) to the back of the front seat (where the rear seat folds down to), it would help me determine this.
I am an electrician and want to put my tools in the enclosure, but need to fit my ladder somewhere still. Thanks again for the video and info!
I will check, we have a multi position type ladder that I can test with.
Hi great install but I'm a little confused if someone was to open you tailgate would or is there a way to lock the box door?
Thanks for all your great info
There are latches that lock the top. You have to open the tailgate in order to unlock the top.
It looks pretty nice. Would the functioning be any different with a hard top?
Yes, the soft top hardware wouldn't be in the way making access much easier.
First time seeing the Mollie Panel for the back! Awesome, and thank you for sharing. If I wanted to not use the top cover, can I leave it off or does that affect the sturdiness of the system?
Not at all from our experience. The 3 walls are just as solid with or without the top in place. The top is only held in place by the bolts for the pivot point and the struts. While I wouldn't want to remove the top on a regular basis it could be removed in a few minutes if you wanted to pick up something large.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Thanks for the reply! what if I wanted to mount something to it? still sturdy?
I set my BL up to be rain/water friendly. Do you think the panels for the soft top removal being open indefinitely will be an issue if it gets wet in there occasionally? Or, does the enclosure seal most of the top of that opening from excessive water access?
The enclosure lid definitely blocks rain from directly hitting whatever is in the cargo area however I could see during a major downpour have water run down the sides and collect on the cargo area liner. We will be carrying large zip lock style bags to keep anything dry that must stay 100% dry
Great video. I was thinking about trying to pair this with the security drawer. Do you think the side has clearance or do you think it’ll be too tight? Much appreciate
It won’t work with the drawer, unfortunately
I like the idea of the molly's on the sides but not necessarily blocking the seats, maybe a folding one possibly cloth for that rear of the seats. Just my opinion and everyone has different needs. Love the video though nice work.
Yeah, it would be nice if you could easily fold it down!
If you need back seat access for sleeping, is it possible / easy to remove just that part and leave everything else installed?
It has been a while since I checked that, but I think I have in the passed and I recall the answer being no… but I’ll check again for you!
Would the side panels fit with the cargo locking drawer box installed too?
I don’t think it would
I am considering options for the back of my Bronco (on order) and am going back and forth between this and a drawer system. My Bronco was specced out with a hard top, so not generally concerned with theft, but I want the ability to organize, so am thinking the divided drawers would be nice to pack things away and allow me to stack gear on top, but I don't think the drawers are tall enough for things like a compressor and the molle panels on this set-up would also be really useful. Any advice on the pros and cons of each for a hard-top truck?
I just searched and the dimensions is the drawer system is not super easy to find. We have seen one in person but it was locked in a dealer demo and the key wasn't present so unfortunately we couldn't open it. If I had to guess the storage area might be 6 or 6.5 inches tall on the inside. My first thought was it that is looked limited by the height. Things like small tools, battery cables, first aid kits, straps would fit great.
Ours has a limitation of putting taller items in the back, not a huge deal since we have the truck. The convenience and security of the system has been great.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Thanks. Yes, not much info out there. I did see one on the mannequin I test drove, but wasn't thinking about a compressor or any of the other stuff I'll want to carry at the time... just too excited to actually see one in person and get to drive it.
Thanks for the review guys! I have been looking at getting this and you were the first I've seen a detailed review. Good advice on the points as I have a feeling that might be something you have to remind Ford or you lose...
You're welcome, we are glad that you found it helpful!
Great video, thanks! Couple of questions (if you still monitor comments on your older videos):
Is there enough space between seat and panel for a small subwoofer, particularly when the seat is reclined? (Well, if you can call that extra 1/2" adjustment Ford gives you "reclined.) It would be great if a sub could fit into that space. Maybe if not the Kicker one of the compact Pioneer or JBL subs.
A few things bother me about this enclosure:
Why does everyone insist on using flat black powder coat for this type of thing? That stuff scratches like crazy. One of the glossier crinkle/veined powder coat finishes would be much more durable.
Why in the world do they have the quick-release knob/bolts on the panels you're least likely to remove? The main parts I would be frequently adding/removing are the top and the back panel to put the seats down. They should have welded the nuts on those panels and used quick-release knobs there. I would almost never remove the side panels, yet that's where the knobs are. Not only impractical but also cutting into your cargo space. Poor design here, Tuffy.
I don’t think it’s enough room to fit a subwoofer. I have the jbl bass pro go and it wouldn’t fit and that’s a smallish sun.
Love the channel. Great content. Very jealous that you have your bronco and I don’t. A few questions if you don’t mind. What’s the depth and diagonal measurements? Any chance you can try putting a set of golf clubs back there? Also, the hand tightened bolts down both sides seem to waste space. Any thoughts to replacing them with something that fits more flush?
I will have to measure, if I had to guess, I would say Golf Clubs would not fit. Right now, we have no plans to change anything, but we will see! Thanks for watching.
Yeah this my one question/ hesitation with buying this? Won’t work if my clubs, won’t fit. Hope to find someone who can answer this question! Great videos though
Can you not install the rear panel against the back seat so you can lower seats for pass through? still have lid on working up and down?
No you cant.
Okay thanks
Great vid just got my Badlands In January,am thinking about get this …was wondering if you could do a follow up vid on accessing the three bolts for a complete soft top removal, during the video it looked really tight to get to them especially the one on the bottom…great work 👍just subscribed, thanks
Yes, that video is scheduled to be out tomorrow at 6pm est
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV thanks for the quick response 👍👍
Welcome to our community!
I drove a Ford demo unit with this installed and it rattled a lot, so happy that isn't happening for you!
I have heard the cargo drawer rattles. I wonder if there was a loose bolt in the demo? So far so good!
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV The demo unit I drove had the cargo drawer installed. The drawer unit seems really well built/sturdy, and I didn't hear any noises from it while driving. In-town at 35mph (on crappy streets), and also on the local interstate at 70mph, and not one bit of noise/rattle from the drawer unit.
That's great to hear!
Great info!, by the way I just got back from Pensacola Florida Seafood Fest and our first stop was Fort Pickens, any relation maybe? have you all been there yet? It was awesome!
We have never been there, but want to go! I am glad you liked it, it is definitely on our list!
Just took delivery of my Bronco and have this in the garage ready to install. I am wondering if my ford cargo rubber mat will work with this once installed?
It should, I have the Husky and it works fine.
Do you still have access to the under storage where the jack is?
Yes, we do still have access to it.
Imm curious how this plays with the B&o subwoofer. Im guessing it rattles quite a bit
I do not have b&o so can provide no feedback
Wait... you need both metric AND standard wrench to install?
You have the vault under the cargo area? Do you find it is needed with this cargo enclosure?
It’s not necessarily needed, but if you wanted to secure guns or something, I would say yes.
Thanks for this video... I just got my bronco today & it also came with this same exact fixed rear enclosure the instructions made the install look like a nightmare. Lol. Thanks to you now it’s going to be a breeze...did yours come with the struts? Mine did not & I just now double checked all of the unpacking... ☹️👎🏻
Oh no! It should come with the struts, unless you got the one that is not a raised lid.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV thanks for getting back to me... mine came with the one without the raised lid so weird too because everything else is identical. 🤷🏼♂️👎🏻
If you have the rubber liner can you still install this?
If you cut holes in them
Do you have to remove the box to get to the bolts to remove the soft top?
See 1:35 in the video
I wonder if the onboard door storage would work with, just, the top off. I'd use the cover more than the door harness, but would still like "easy enough" access.
No, unfortunately the width of the trunk space is 41 inches with the enclosure installed. The front doors seem to take up the entire width of the trunk area without the enclosure as they measure around 43 inches. It would have been nice to simply pop the top/lid off and put the doors in back but that doesn't seem to be possible.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV That just stinks. I want to do it all. lol
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV I would love to know if you have found this to be a concern? I have watched your other videos and it looks like you do remove your doors often. Have you found this storage area to be bothersome and perhaps regret the installation or have you found that the benefit of the storage to be worth the sacrifice of door storage?
@@SH-hx7rz we have never stored our doors in the trunk, However, I am very happy with the enclosure and would purchase again.
Great video! How much do those run without Ford points?
I think it varies with what dealership you use, but if I recall it's around the $550-630 price range.
Have you found a cargo mat that works with the cargo enclosure? I have the factory one and it’s molded to fit the contours,so it will not work with this.
Rather than cut ours we sort of forced it to fit inside of the enclosure. At first the center had a bubble in it but that has settled down and and the mat has been working great without the need for cutting or a heat gun to help re-mold it. The lower fasteners of the enclosure also help to keep the cargo liner in place. So far it has worked out nicely. The only down side is things tend to move around more on the plastic mat so the Mille panels of the enclosure have been necessary to strap things down.
Do you have a part number? All I can find is the fixed lid version.
accessories.ford.com/products/bronco-4dr-2021-deluxe-raised-lid-cargo-area-enclosure-1
I like the idea , but what do you do with the doors now ?
Our doors are stored in the garage, i never put them in the trunk because I use my truck for other things.
Great video! Do you happen to have any photos of what it looks like with the soft top completely removed?
Here you go
How to Remove Ford Bronco Soft Top with a Cargo Enclosure Installed
ruclips.net/video/8mCS1kq-R3I/видео.html
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Awesome! I could have dug a little deeper I guess.. lol. Thanks for the quick reply!!
@@tomschaffer9702 you’re welcome! There are lots of videos to go through lol
I wish they made a way to quickly detach the top and front for when you need longer/taller objects in the back.
The side panels could stay on and there could be a latch of some sort that can only be accessed from inside the enclosure rather than outside of it.
I do think a company is in the works of making something like that.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV I know this is old but there is an option by a company called "diabolical" now.
Do you know why the lower fasteners are a quick connect wing nut from the side panels to the floor? Seems like they intended those to be removed frequently, but not sure why.
I am not certain and have the same question. Those are the only locations where the enclosure mounts to the Bronco itself, I assume you could remove those four wing nuts and remove the entire enclosure? If so I believe taking it through the roll bars and straight up through the opening since it wouldn't fit through the doors in one piece. That doesn't seem like the reasoning but it is the best I can come up with so far.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV I thought the same, but with the bars that blocks it. Hoping to get mine late November. It is being assembled now.
Not sure where you are located but it took 12 days from our build date to delivery. We are 1,200 miles or so from the plant. You might be surprised and receive your Bronco much quicker than late November!
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV I could only hope. I am in Nebraska, so a little closer than you. Love the videos and thanks.
My wife, Donna, bought the full size 2021 Outback and just received it a month ago. It came with a hard top. All of the soft tops I've liked at getting for hers for spring & summer driving do not fold down as far as yours. Our dealer gave me a link but none of the sellers have one that goes down as far as yours either. What brand is yours? I'm also looking at getting her the tailgate molle storage pouch, have you given that any thought?
Did you option for the bestop? That is an upgraded soft top. I have the stock soft top. I do have the molle panel back cargo enclosure. I have a video if you’re interested
Would you still have access to tools under carpet?
Yes
Sorry, stupid question, but does the bronco not have power door lock/unlock switches inside the cabin or do they not operate the rear door? just thinking its only as safe as the back door being locked?
When the doors are off, the auto unlock does not work and you have to have your key fob to unlock it. It's just as safe as any trunk for any vehicle.
The physical door lock controls are located on the doors.
Great video. Maybe I missed something but to remove the enclosure for larger items, can't you just remove the 8 thumb nuts and slide the enclosure out; sides, back and top still intact? The floor mounts will remain but at least you have the ability to carry large items without total disassembly. Again, maybe I missed something.
I assume that could be done but I do not think it would be a easy process to remove due to the size and possibility of scratching the paint. Maybe if you took it almost straight up through the roll cage when the roof is off?
Do you think my golf bag will fit with this enclosure lid?
I am not sure how big those are. You can compare the measurements we provide to see?
Anyone have rubbing when you close the lid on the deluxe enclosure?
I haven’t, where is it rubbing?
Best info I've seen so far on this enclosure. Confirms that it's possible to easily remove the top when needed. A couple of quick questions:
Is there room to flip the bolts and thumb nuts around on the sides? Thinking the thumb nuts poking in would reduce the usable space and things might catch on them, but the smooth bolt heads being on the inside wouldn't have that problem.
If you don't have the fob, can you unlock the tailgate by simply pushing the door unlock in the cabin? Since this depends on the tailgate to secure your items, I'm just wondering how effective it is if you leave your top off.
We have learned quite a bit since installing the enclosure. It is fully secure when the top and doors are off which is great, almost too secure! I would couple this with either a keypad or the Ford Pass app to manage access while the doors are removed, if not it is always going to be locked.
The top can come off in a matter of minutes, I wouldn't say it is meant for repeat on/off installs but it is easily doable.
With the top removed you still have a nice 3 wall Molle panel system.
The plastic nuts on the lower section may be possible to flip but it would be a little tedious.
Over all this has been a great addition to our Bronco.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV What about with the top off but the doors still on?
I haven't found anything that really discusses that situation.
With the doors on, you can press the unlock button on the door to unlock all 5 doors. Now the factory alarm doesn't like the interior unlock button to be pressed while the system is activated.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Thanks for the info! Really disappointed unfortunately, as providing some secure storage with the top off was the whole reason I was considering this enclosure. Not planning to go doorless that often.
The alarm should sound if someone were to access the Bronco through the open top and press the interior unlock button. Also at that time you should get an alert from Ford Pass. I think if someone where to do this they also wouldn't hesitate from breaking a window of a traditional vehicle. Another thing to consider the enclosure offers "out of sight, out of mind" peace of mind too. Someone walk by wouldn't be able to tell if you had nothing back there or a load of gold bricks which reduces the desire to break in. Overall the enclosure has greatly reduced our anxiety.
Nice foot work - HAHA How hot does that metal get and another question.
I am sure it gets hot on top, doubles as a cooktop lol
Stuck on step one. I can’t get the freakin’ stock tie down bolts to budge!! Do I need a torque wrench to get them off?
Success! This video was invaluable - thank you!! Have you found a good net to go on the enclosure top tie downs?
I have not found one, but I haven’t looked for one. Glad that you got it installed.
How do you get your jack out now?
The jack is located in the floor of the truck space and is still fully accessible.
Can you fit a stroller in that?
I would assume it would depend the size of the stroller and how it folds.
Does anybody know how to remove this once it’s installed?
Watch the video in reverse
Have you had any rattle from your cage -- If so how did you address it - I love my cage but it is noisy.
I don’t have any rattle issues. Are the latches tight?
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV everything is tight -- it maybe the number of bags and accessories I have on it -- Thank you
Ok so I'm curious. I'm watching this video for the first time and you said you wanted to leave the panels in the back off so you could remove the soft top assembly in the winter. I'm curious why you wanted to remove the soft top assembly in the winter?
We live in Florida and winter is the best time of year here :)
I have this same enclosure. My only concern is security, and y'all said it a couple times, but my question is how is it secure? What prevents someone from getting into your Bronco and hit the lock/unlock button? Its definitely a concern of mine if someone really wants to access your rear area, on how easy it really is to get into it. Just an observation, great video by they way, my only thing that I couldn't get to work was the thick black spacers, trying to tighten them, the bolt just spun on me, so I did with out it.
You’re alarm will go off
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV The alarm will go off under what circumstances?
@@toddbowden7856 if you locked your doors and walk away with your fob, if someone unlocks from the inside and the fob is not in there, the alarm will go off
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Thank you for the reply. I have been doing a bunch of testing to see what the parameters were to when this alarm goes off. After locking with the FOB, it does take about 15 seconds for the alarm to enable. I tested with the window down, then after 15 seconds unlocking the door, opening any door makes the alarm go off, which I really like. Thank you for your informative video's. It may be a good short video for you to do about this security feature and how it works. Just a thought.
Thank you!!
@@toddbowden7856 that’s a great idea, maybe I will do that
Just installed over the weekend. First, your video was the reason why it's was "easy" to install. The instructions are terrible so thank you. Second, when installing the top, did you tighten the rear bolts up against the white plastic washers? I didn't want to over tighten but I am getting a little rattle noise while driving and I am thinking it's the white washers not being snug.
Mine is tighten, I still don’t have rattling to this day.
Did you call your dealer or ford customer service to get your points?
It should be done automatically, if not I think either should be able to help you:
Just a quick question, did you just call your dealer or did you call a support line of Ford for your 20,000 extra FordPass points? I've only received the base 42,000 thanks!
I had to call the Ford line to get them credited.
Where can I find this for my bronco?
If you plan to use Ford Pass Points you would need to go to a local dealership to place an order. If not, you can order it from nay dealership online including Town and Country:. www.tccustoms.com/products/cargo-area-enclosure-deluxe-raised-lid-4dr-by-tuffy-dio-j2-8-2-21-vm2dz-78115a00-d-2021-ford-bronco
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV thank you very much!
I’m definitely planning on getting it and that JBL speaker in the near future
Here is where we got it but it was under $400 when we bought it in July. amzn.to/2Y983CE
How do I contact you?

If the doors are off, can someone press the "trunk release" button in the cabin and get access to this space?
There isn't an actual trunk release button in the Bronco. It can only be unlocked with the key/key fob when the doors are off.
The rear door locks automatically when you are driving and remains locked also when doorless after turning off the ignition. It can be quite annoying but it serves the purpose of security.
When the doors are on it automatically unlocks when the rest of the doors are unlocked to exit the Bronco.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Also if you have the doors on and want to leave the cabin unlocked, but the cargo locked, you just have to lock the doors before you get out, then when you open door from inside, it leaves that unlocked. The tailgate will still be locked. I'd rather someone just open the door instead of cutting my soft top. I love this cargo enclosure!!! Correction: this only works with the doors off. Someone can press the unlock button on the door and boom, the tailgate is unlocked. So much for security! The tailgate lock should be more configurable.
@@cerbdm I am just so happy to not have to worry about security anymore! Haha
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV can you fit the doors back there still with that installed?
@@cerbdm Disappointing, I wanted to get this to prevent a thief doing a smash and grab, pressing the unlock button, and then accessing the enclosure. Have there been any work arounds or changes?
Complicated, I hope they came out with simple tanue cover
It actually isn’t too bad. We have removed the top a few times and left the 3 walls installed. Takes maybe 5 minutes to remove and replace the top if needed.
There are going to be more simple covers but not sure how they would offer the same level of security?
Really with points?? Hmm I'm still figuring how it works I just received 42k idk if you can answer or if it's private matter ?, But how many points does it take for something like this ?? Sorry I don't do social media 🤣🤣 RUclips is best I get lol
I don't know perfectly the conversion, but I think 42k points is roughly around 250 bucks. I called Ford to convert my points to money, so I would know how much I had. The cost for the enclosure was around $500-600. My dealer price matched another dealers price.
nothing can be purchsed from Canada🤧
Bummer!
Just buy a pickup... No need for that
Thank you guys SOOOOOO much for this video. I literally could not have done this install without you, and the review made me so much more certain of my purchase. 💙🤍💙🤍💙
Glad it helped!
