Mild-mannered accountant Calvin (Kevin Hart) is stunned when he runs into an old high-school classmate named Bob (Dwayne Johnson) -- once an overweight and frequently bullied teen, Bob is now a CIA agent who's in perfect shape. It's becasue the word keven has to say has to associate with whatever the rock has said, for example sunshine, happy that's word association, that's what Maggie said, but when Kevin was asked, and dwayne said up, Kevin said the opposite of that word which in this case is down,
I dint think Kevin was wrong, he just didn't really associate with the words the rock had said,
I'm not sure if that makes sense but I hope it helps and uh, have a good day
Lol this is why people think school sucks 😂 and also word association refers to their mood. So they have to work with the word in a positive association. Kevin associated negatively. Like Up is a fairly neutral-positive word it can mean happy, optimistic etc Kevin could’ve said: Sky, happy or sunshine those are all fairly positive responses. If he said ‘down’ or ‘sad’ it’s a negative indication. It’s about finding out a person’s mood without them lying to you. Like we all ask each other ‘you good?’ Even if you’re depressed you can pretend to be happy. So word association helps to find out a person’s mood in a way where they won’t lie because it’s trickier for them to lie about it cos most people don’t think about it
