I did learn something new! I’ve watched many sewing tutorials on RUclips, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn the new-to-me technique/method of snipping then ironing the seams before you turned it right side out. Also, it is such a fun and cute project. Its inspiring. A person could make a full dining room set of place settings and table toppers using the candy bowl template and project as the inspiration.
Soon we’ll see all the other popular channels making their own variations of this one. Absolutely lovely!

I love your pattern for this. I made one using the fabric folded, and cut the fabric instead of tracing the fabric with a pattern. it didn’t look as professional! I will use your pattern now. Thankyou! So cute💕

I used a large dinner plate for the pattern but it didn’t turn out very big. But it’s cute. I’ll use it for my sewing catch all dish on my sewing table. I need to find a really big circle to make it bigger. 🤷🏽♀️

Hi Janis. I usually get mine from a hardware store (Home Depot) in the paint department.
Could you sew all the way around and then cut the fusible to turn it?
Just an idea…instead of cutting around the drawn pattern, sew around the line, leaving a open area for turning, then cut around it about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Follow the rest of the instructions.

What is the diameter of the dinner plate.
The darts make it look like a step was missing
