Thanks very much for the video. I have a few questtions: how much do the panniers stick out beyond the engine blocks? It looks like at least another six inches each side of the bike but it's hard to tell. Second, will a helmet fit in them? Finally, where in Spain did you order them? Thanks again.
Helmet fits these are 35l so full size. I wore a large schuberth c3 pro. Motostorm website check ‘em out. As for sideways width well not too far out when compared to boxer headers may be 3-4 inches further out. I recommend getting the liners makes carrying stuff to and from easy.
Hi, well if you bike came with factory rear luggage rack then yea that rack remains intact and unchanged it clears the top of that rack so you should have any impediment doesn’t matter bmw or after market there should be plenty of clearance.
@@georgechacko4276 what’s the lead time these days? They were giving me 3-4 month without guarantee, I was lucky to find mine in Arizona so I didn’t have to wait.
@@ducatifever I was told 60-90 days but I'm sure it could take longer. I was offered a standard but I wanted the exclusive with special package. Could be a long wait since the local dealer isn't a mega-BMW-shop.
Hmm sorry no, what’s the issue? More details please. Boxer headers are down low and away so no heat ever comes up the rider sits further behind from the engine.
I have ordered these fixing Shad system. Not yet the saddlebags. Hope it will fit with my BMW R1250R equiped with the same Akrapovic exhaust. Any idea somebody? Thanks very much!✌️
Well the mounts for one don’t look terrible when the panniers are off the bike, then the price I bought these from Spain online and got a really good deal. Besides shad makes bmw oem panniers so that tells me that they are capable of producing a quality product.
In retrospect, I'm still agonizing over it. The Shad price:quality ratio is very reasonable but my BMW soft tailbag no longer fits and the Shad SH47 is a little pizza-delivery and detracts from the lines of the bike. So there's a 'fashion penalty' that tends to magnify over time with the R1250Rs. Difficult tradeoff- it's nice to leave my helmet in the SH47 but security is an illusion so maybe I should have opted for the overpriced (also not burglary proof) OEM side panniers instead and carried my helmet around.
thx, your Film helps me to decide!

beatiful and a top case?
Nice . I have the shad 3 p on another bike and looking to get a RS .
Where in Texas are you ? I'm in Sugar land
Dallas Suburbs I actually sold the rs earlier this year it was a great bike
@@ducatifever I frequent Dallas to visit family.
What kind of miles did you rack up on the RS ?
@@bryanlarrimer138 I had it less then a year and only put about 3k miles or so local rides to Austin San Antonio and Arkansas
Hello from France! Please , do you know if it allows the mounting of a bmw rear rack, or any other one? Thank you. ✌️

Nice! I have a 2021 R1250RS coming and I think I'll get Shad luggage. Thanks!
Nice man, it’s a fun bike. Congrats.
@@ducatifever Thanks. I traded in the 2016 RS a couple of days ago, now I have to be patient.

and it did take longer. I just picked up the bike today but it was worth waiting for. A very nice ride. Shad SH36 and SH47 on order.
Hi man I want to ask if you have issues with the heating on the right side

@@ducatifever exhaust pipe (too) close to right hand side pannier?
@@arejrgensen1152 it’s fine the carbon fiber is warm to touch I wouldn’t worry about it
I like the look of these better than the BMW ones
100%. Price and design both if you ask me plus you can barely notice the 3p system when the panniers are off the bike.
Im inclined to agree with you. Ive got a 2020 with bmw bags. The Shads also look a tad bigger. Not that i need to take any more crap with me.
Thanks

Should be fine backend design is pretty much the same between r and rs
Are there any torque settings for the bolts?
Sorry bud I don’t recall any at the moment.
@@ducatifever no worries. Thanks for your reply.
Why did you choose the Shad over Givi option?
