John, anyone else here; I have the stage 4 131 build with Feuling vented dipstick and such, runs good, love it. Question: have you ever experienced light amount of oil buildup at the bottom of your air cleaner? If so, why does it do that/is it normal, and is there a way to stop that from happening?
Very good tips! When I got my 2014 limited, the salesman told me the opposite; I hear the fans going when riding, so I never really worried about it. Now I'm checking the fans before leaving on a ride. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks John, I just found a Unicorn Road Glide, 2016 Road Glide Special with only 980 miles on it at purchase. I have added Custom Dynamics Lights, and another brand of Handle Bars from a GA company. I wish I had went with the bullet style Front turn signals, but will get there. Working toward cam chest next. Thanks for the video.
I have the same SantoroS upfront and last week as I stopped the bike I was on top of the hill and the hill wasn’t even and I can’t believe my bike tipped over…the sliders protected my bike!!!
For the front end, take a look into “Ricor Intiminators”. Going from street race bikes to a Harley the first thing I upgraded before the pipes and exhaust was the suspension and it made a world of difference in handling. 😉👍
Hey John, I’m watching your video about your GP cartridges and hearing that they feel a little stiff. The only way to soften is go to a different spring. when you ordered your suspension you had to give them your rider weight so whatever that info was, you probably want to go with the next softer spring rate. I have Öhlins NIX 22 cartridges in my Dyna And I ordered two different spring rates for tuning. Good winter project.
Santorofabworx just came out with these cool looking fog lights pre-wired into the engine guards… I love custom dynamics, but I think I’m gonna go with those Santoros!!
I got a 2023 standard. 5400mi on in just under 2 months I can’t stay off the bike. Best bike I ever ridden let alone owned (road king was bad ass but didn’t eat miles like the RG) *I did the Harley oil cooler fan when I did stage 2 thanks to your vid!
Big Bear Performance San Bernardino California. Plus 2.5 Ohlins front fork cartridges all day long.. Big Bear Performance also has RUclips comparison videos you should watch. They are a Ohlins service /custom shop 👍
@@CYCLEFANATIX how did u get the top clamp in ??????? I had to remove my santoro bar just to fit the bottom Clamp I couldn’t get the top one in so I just said screw it I’ll try another day
Hey John love your channel. I do have a question, on silverback you had the evolution industry clutch like this one but you had the darkhorse sprocket. Why did you go different on this build? Did the dh sprocket seem to harsh? Reason I ask is that I bought dh sprocket along with evolution complete basket for my 2018 street glide. Next will be a 124” kit. Whatcha thoughts?
Hey John what is your opinion on the Ride-On self balancing gel that you added to your tires? I was thinking of removing my mechanical weights and going with the gel. Did you notice any difference and would you recommend the change. TIA
The problems with the tire(s) are directly related to the suspension and performance of the engine. In this case the tires are the weakest link. The engine is pushing harder than stock tires can handle and the tire is under spec to deal with the forces (and geometry) the new suspension can sustain. The front is capable of pushing & leaning in ways the stock tire wasn’t meant to. Softer performance rubber with a little less pressure may be the solution. The final test would be to upgrade the brakes there’s no way the stock tires would be able to withstand the performance of upgraded front discs. You’d likely start to lose the front while trail braking or emergency stops. Good luck and keep the beautiful machine Mad Max rubber side down on the road!
Fantastic bike!! The fun thing is next to my RG I shared a Hayabusha with my dad...we sold it a month ago...but the BMW1000r and the Panigale V4 are still in the garage!! ....going for a ride now..last day of Summer here in Netherlands....
😂😂 I thought my bike was fast until you passed me 😂 I was like WHATTTTT? 😮 mad max definitely mad I will not mess with it unless I go with the same power you got. Great vid 💪🏼💪🏼
Good informative video. Regarding tires , I have almost 17,000 miles on my stock tires on my 2023 Road Glide Special, with more tread to wear. I’m shocked
I was going to try and get an S&S 128 kit . However your saying you can’t do an S&S 128 kit on the road glide 107 ? You went with S&S parts but did screaming eagle jugs ? Give me your list so I can see I’ll be at Harley next week going over all my parts
Man the mad max looks awesome! Love what you did. I agree with the suspension is the big part on how it rides!! Can not wait for what else you do! Thank you for sharing your ideas with everyone!! Giving me some great ideas!! 🤙🙌
Great review of your bike. For the power adapter on your quad lock, I love how it's hidden. Was there an existing dongle that you connected into or did you have to self install? I assume it's operates your apple car play as well?
Hey John, Love the channel and Mad Max. I just did the fan test on my '21' Road Glide Limited and as described, the fans came on with the throttle twist. Further, by twisting the throttle again the fans shut off and could be switched on and off without touching the ignition. Have you done a video about new tire options? Keep up the great content.🤩🤩
@@CYCLEFANATIX have you removed your air filter to see how much head breather snot is entering your combustion chamber? as soon as I installed the Trask setup, I eliminated 99.9% of the snot, which is keeping my intake clean. I am very pleased with the results. do you know what the stock compression ratio is with that engine? carbon deposits on the top of the piston will eventually cause detonation.
sweet build brother. trying to decide between a RG or a SG for my next build. nothing better than the sounds from custom bike exhaust. something about that internal combustion that gets the blood moving, i'll never own an electric anything.
My buddy's broke on one of our long rides... we limped to a HD dealership to get him back on the road. The pressed in bolt mount came apart. We crammed it back in and held it together with zip ties. As hard as you ride, I highly recommend it :-)
Ooooo yr bike has a chain!!!! Man I wish my bike had a chain!!??? Did u convert it to chain or sumthn???? Mine has a belt… as you can see I’m not an expert on HARLEY’s. This is my first road glide, but I love it.😂
Thank God you took the lighting that was surrounded the windshield!! I hated the looks. PLEASE change the filter and go BLACK! Contrast is the best! Besides that, I LOVE YOUR BIKE!!!!!!!
PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR FIND SOME BLACK ROUND STICKERS AND STICK THEM ON THOSE WHITE STICKERS ON THE BACK OF YOUR OIL COOLER, IT'S WEARING ME OUT HOW UGLY THIS LOOKS. LOVE ALL YOUR CONTENT KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK BRAVO ON YOUR POD CAST
If I were a content creator I’d do a new bike but If I were you, I’d rock that bike and be more than happy with it.
You can get any cartridge revalved by proper suspension shops. They change the shim stack.

I have not
Hey John try adjusting the preload in the front springs

Thanks for the tip for Ride On. I’ll try it.
I heard the custom dynamic headlights are better than the Baja lights

Man, I was just there a couple of weeks ago at Motorcycle Mall, great place to buy bikes in Jersey, I'm stuck in Florida....enjoy.....

Great vid thanks for all the info. Your cooling series was Awsome big eye opener on the importance of cooling .
I roll stock mirrors 2 …they work!
Can’t beat the S&S 475 cam sound hands down..😉

Hi, how you did made it working the exhaust with +2 rear suspensions? No problems with rear axel? Thanks. Lucio
Yes, I have a video about it. Check it out. You have to tweak the muffler lol.
Do you have the santoro front bar for the chin spoiler or just the regular santoro bar ?
Regular
@@CYCLEFANATIX how did u get the top clamp in ??????? I had to remove my santoro bar just to fit the bottom
Clamp I couldn’t get the top one in so I just said screw it I’ll try another day
36:00 - I'm pretty sure BigBearPerformance makes an Ohlins with a +2
Hi; Do you know if the Road Glide ST front fender will fit a 21” (with adapter)? Thanks, Awesome channel ❗️
Awesome for you brother! Both bikes look & sound great!

It’s a must
Hey John do you have the video of you racing the other two bikes , I’m still waiting for a real race between you and Sandy
Nice Bike! Explain everything well. Hey, John, My Machinist, has 1.5 kickstand block. If you need ⚡️

No, I didn’t say that, I’m saying a few years ago they didn’t have the 128 kit for the 107 now they do 👍
All the right stuff makes a great motorcycle even better! Appreciate you John.

Word is Legends shocks suffer from leaking... are you running or considering the Trask vented transmission cover?
Not sure I feel I need it

Enjoyed the video. Awesome bike. The exhaust sounds almost as good as my Tabs with Zombie baffles
The Hyabusa exhaust sounds insane.
GP will respring that lighter for you. And make sure you have the correct oil weight - too heavy will make it harsh.
Thx for the tip 👍
@@CYCLEFANATIX for sure mine was like a brick - now it is perfect.
Hey John does it take most weight off the front tire? Was considering buying and if so is there a promo
It does. Sorry no code
Rideon fluid…1st time hearing about it… I’m bout to get some!!!
Nice Walkthrough. Mad Max is a beast for sure.
Hey man just wanted to say your channel is awesome love your content been watching for awhile but i just now subscribed

Love what you do and vary well explained. Keep it up would love to ride with you someday. Badass bagger.
You still got your stock fork tubes

Are you going to ditch that stock shifter rod... they tend to break.
Maybe
