This is so helpful, and beautiful. Amazing to watch. A blank 42x60 linen canvas is waiting for me in my Living Room\art studio. It's going to be a snow scene in oils and have my Son and his wife with snowboards on a ski lift heading up towards Mt. Hood. i haven't painted in oils since 1982! This is a treasure to find! Thank you!
Seeing a notification come from you was like REALLY?? It had been so long, I was worried something had happened to you! But here you are painting again, for all to see! Welcome back! ❤❤
Your painting is stunning you are so talented & thank you for your tips , I purchased paints & colours from your list and I I’m looking forward to using them and watching more of your inspiring videos 😊
Hello I am a new painter. Could you please tell me how you do the tiny strokes like the grass? I bought really thin brushes but still struggle to do any such fine detail. Thanks!
I always have a story to share with my large paintings, but these 12x16s are how I develop those stories in part... So I don't have a lot to say for smaller works like this which is why I like to let the art speak for itself. thank you!
I used to, but I feel like once you are comfortable with oils you tend to like them better which was my experience. Some amazing acrylic artists out there though
Both provide their own set of challenges, but oils take a little more organization, prep/takedown.. Personally I would do oils because once you get the hang of it the potential is greater imo. But it certainly is easier logistically and probably more affordable to use acrylics.
@@chuckblackart Thank you. Is a public school, and the teachers weren't very helpful helping me decide. The oil one said oil was best, the acrylics one said acrylics, but none went into costs, prep or time (my guess is acrylics are quicker to learn because it dries faster?). The painters/illustrators whose works I like use both and even pastels and watercolors, so having never painted myself I have no biases/idea what would be best.
just a warm layer that compliments the colors I add over the top, yes it would most likely in any case. The color beneath will show through unless it is a really thick layer
It would be awsome to be your neighbor I want to paint with you That is gorgeous. I just started another 24” x 48” today and figured better freshen up a few things. I’m doing Bison in the winter

A SMALL BOO BOO IN ONE OF THE TREES AND SNOW
Wonderful painting 🖼 😍 👌
Wonderful! But, why orange color all over the canvas?
Totally mesmerizing. Just curious why the orange first layer?
it's burnt sienna which is a nice warm color that compliments what I paint over it
Amazing 😍🔥👏👏👏
Beautiful and relaxing😌 Could you please share colours used? Naples yellow?
Hello I am a new painter. Could you please tell me how you do the tiny strokes like the grass? I bought really thin brushes but still struggle to do any such fine detail. Thanks!
Stunning work!
Can you help me understand your thoughts process behind starting with an orange base for this painting?
it's burnt sienna raw out of the tube, a common choice. I like the warmth of it to compliment what I paint on top
Очень красиво
Plss we want ur stories behind the paintings ... This is amazing

@@chuckblackart ok sir ur painting is more than enough to spellbound us .
nice
Why the orange start to the canvas?
Do you have an online course on landscape painting? Love your videos
I love love your work!! I so wish you worked in acrylics!! If only I could find someone like you to follow!!!
Oh I hear you. So many great landscape artists paint in oil.
I used to, but I feel like once you are comfortable with oils you tend to like them better which was my experience. Some amazing acrylic artists out there though
😻😻😻🔥🔥🔥
What would you recommend for someone who wants to learn to paint, to start with oils or acrylics.?
Both provide their own set of challenges, but oils take a little more organization, prep/takedown.. Personally I would do oils because once you get the hang of it the potential is greater imo. But it certainly is easier logistically and probably more affordable to use acrylics.

Plz,drop the full tutorial ' s painting

👏🎨🖌💜
Does anyone have an explanation for the orange toned base layer? Does that color do anything specific in working with the other paints?
I am wondering the exact same.
just a warm layer that compliments the colors I add over the top, yes it would most likely in any case. The color beneath will show through unless it is a really thick layer
@@chuckblackart Thank you for taking the time to answer
Is that canvas?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What's it at the bottom right, your signature or a winter ghost?
It would be awsome to be your neighbor I want to paint with you
That is gorgeous. I just started another 24” x 48” today and figured better freshen up a few things.
I’m doing Bison in the winter
In this video what the technique did you use?
wet on wet and then just a touch later for a few details
@@chuckblackart but in this video did you use oil colours?
Super😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
We advise you to watch ACRYLIC PAINTING = 027 = Not an Artist
