@@fathersonoutdoors8049 For sure they are more fun...at least for the first couple fish. It's after black cod and dogfish season that you wish you had the funds for electric!
Do you have the premium black halibut rod 30/100 for $129 before shipping or the blue halibut rod 30/100 for $105? I was also wondering how do the rods handle 3lb or 4lb cod weights? Since online on squidpro they say up to 32oz in the description so I was just curious if they would be good for more than the weight that it recommends?
@ Thanks that is the rod I will get then but let me know if you wanna plan something for neah bay in mid June! Would be cool to catch my first ever halibut with you and the offer is still on the table for gas and just the experience I mean even if we didn’t get a fish sure we could get some lingcod. I have my own gear and everything and cod weights and bait and you name it so just let me know!
Thanks for bringing me along, and I wouldn’t worry about the people that are jealous that you’re living the life you were meant to live commercial fishing is in your blood. Don’t ever be ashamed of that until next time be good. Be safe.
do you ever have issues with dogfish? Im fishing out of victoria across the straight and we average 10-20 dogfish per trip, weve gotten a few halis this year but its frustrating with how many dogs we get! Great video none the less
@@fathersonoutdoors8049 man those things are just as nasty as the doggy's. Made the mistake of keeping one and eating it like any other flounder or sole u catch 🤢🤢
Met you on the dock yesterday and when I saw the fish tote I knew this video was coming! I should have ran out there, looks like it really laid down once you got out. Was this Saturday?
❤❤❤ awesome catch Thanks for sharing 👍
Love your videos, thanks for all you do
I appreciate you watching. We're glad you're enjoying our content 👍
Great trip out, nicely done. Keep filling that box!
Thank you DJ
Yay! Nothing better than getting home from work and my husband telling me you’ve got a Hali video out. RIGHT ON. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you for always watching! I'm glad i was finally able to post a video!
Great box full of hali's, Great to see your videos..
Nice to meet you this weekend! Your brother put me on the fish and we limited both days this weekend. :-) Same spot in 450'....manual reels 😞
I used MANuals until this season i finally got the electric. The manuals are a lot more fun then the electric, when it comes to fighting the fish

@CatchMeAFishBro I have the blue halibut rod, and I've used 4lb weights and it worked just fine.

Born and raised on the water 👍. Thank you Corey
I'd love come over and fish with you some time.
Awesome!!
Thank you for watching 😊
Do you like that lingcod/halibut rod? Or do you wish you would have only bought 2 halibut rods ?
@salmonkiller2545 I can't real tell the difference between the two, other than the grips are different from each other
tight lines brother
Be safe out there. What if i dont have any salmon to use. What bait is the 2nd best option?? Herring? Squid? Octopus?
Octo @kinghunter182
Octo for sure 👍

I caught two dog fish on the straights of juan de fuca this year and that's it. Deal with aero tooth more than dogs
