Man, that’s pretty cool going all the way out there with the 16 foot boat. I guess you can do it in the right weatherconditions definitely inspirational.
Be careful. Some days I'm sure a 12' johnboat could do it. But the weather can turn on you real quick out there and you'd be in trouble. Personally I wouldn't do it in a lund or hewescraft. Stabicraft are built different.
I might get out for salmon this week. I just wanted to get one last chance at halibut and deep bottom fish before they closed it. The salmon fishing out there looked really easy all the salmon guys were pulling them up all over the place. But there will be a lot of salmon caught over the rest of the summer and fall so I wasn't too worried about it.

There's plenty of black cod out there! I couldn't hear how deep you were fishing, must be in deep water though Black cod are deep. Got a nice Halibut great job. The humpback whale they do like the Herring they mite even go for krill too, That's too bad about your jig at the end dang! Does halibut end soon? 🎣

Dude we need to go sometime. Caught some real nice resident coho a few weeks ago. Heading out on the ship soon but will be back for punks next year

Those sablefish are prized and tasty. I’d love to bring home a limit of them.. looks like a good day fishing out there!

Miso black cod is my all time favorite way to cook them. Next time be sure to keep them!

Sablefish are better tasting and more buttery than Halibut or other bottomfish.
