I just started my first diamond painting today. I spent time 2 days ago watching your videos for tips and tricks. WOW! You saved me hours of trial and error mistakes and all your advice was amazingly helpful! The kitting up was painless because of you. Thanks Mrs. Coffee for all these videos!
Your very welcome. That's what I am here for, less mistakes more time to relax and just enjoy! :)
I really like your tone. Other creators in this genre sound all syrupy sweet and condescending. You get right to business. Thank you!
I appreciate that, thank you💝
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I find myself watching video's on things I already know how to do. 1. I love the lady/person making the video and 2. I never know when I might learn something different or new. Never thought of using a spoon to gather spilled drills in the carpet!
Tonight my son-in-law has a fully kitted up picture to try out for himself. I even made him a tool box of all the needs and wants for diamond painting. Cover minder, special diamond painting pen, better tray etc.. Can't wait for tomorrow to see what he thought. It was so cute listening to him go on amazon getting excited over different pictures and sizes. He was thinking of a bigger one he and my daughter could do together. LOVE this craft. We're a family "sticking" together!
Mrs. Coffee, I love it when you were talking about the red DMC color 666 and you said now don’t label it and give it any power ! WOW I thought that is so meaningful in so many areas of live and there it is in diamond painting video. My Dad always taught me never to name your “fear”, do not speak it. When it is spoken, you give it power over you. When you said what you did, it made me think of my Dad...and that made me smile. Thanks Mrs. Coffee. :)
Love the harbor freight containers. One tip, make sure to shake the drills before opening the container. Drills collect along the edge. TFS ❤
Anyone else ‘like’ Mrs. Coffee’s videos before it even starts playing? We know it’s going to be a-mazing, why delay the ‘like’?? 😂❤️❤️❤️
🥰 aw Thank you
Heather Winberg LOL I do this also ALL the time. I hear the music and snap hit the like button. It’s a given. Haven’t seen one I have not liked yet and am sure I never will so I just get it over with like you said.
Thank you so much for the video good evening enjoyed watching good night For now 🥰🎄❤️🌹☺️
I love kiting my diamond paintings up next to doing my DP this is the next best thing. Carry on with the video's hun ur doing a good job❤
I just went to that store yesteday habor fright and bought the same containers for the drills ...so now i found this video and i can see how to put them in etc ...You Made my day today ..love u mrs, crochet and coffee ..you videos really help me learn ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
"the 310 life"
yep. I feel that one. Absolutely LOVE the ones with black background and strong colors. Love the contrast and vibe, but despise working with that much black. Always worth it in the end though
Kitting up is my favorite part! Love that painting it's gorgeous. I need to put the sticker maker on my dp bucket list. Thanks always for sharing with us! Love to the fam
5:01. “I’m not ballin’ like that “. Lol. I love it.
I love this because I'm new to this and now i understand when someone say cut the stickers and cut the chart thanks for this
Watching others kit up their diamond paintings is so relaxing ❤ love the design! Its absolutely beautiful 🌻
That picture is so pretty. Can’t wait to see it done. That’s a great system you have for the drills. Thanks for the useful info Mrs. Coffee. ❤️
Great video! You’re an excellent teacher! I have some Harbor Freight and like to use them for traveling because they’re small and light. I prefer the Darice/Elizabeth Ward containers at home, just personal preference. A few tips to add, since you asked during your wip n chat. 1) when I have a DAC sticker, I use a paper scorer to lightly score the back to make it easier for me to get the sticker backing off...I have troubles with this. 2) I put extra bags of drills in a ziplock and write on the ziplock with a sharpie to remember what kit they go to. 3) I’m a fumble fingers and have spilled entire bags of drills on my work surface. Using a damp folded towel to press onto hundreds of drills gets them up quickly. 4) the drill straightener that comes in some kits (I got that little pink tackle box off Amazon with a lot of dp tools when I started) is great for scraping off the little labels from your containers when you’re done. Welcome to the addiction!!,
Thank you for the extra tips. I normally don't comment or read them. However, my friend told me this can be her favorite thing about RUclips and sharing. Thank you again!
You’re very welcome! Come to Mrs Coffee’s live on Friday nights, those are a lot of fun.
@@mollymollie6048 I popped in last Friday but my phone keep buffering. I did watch, or listen, to it after while I diamond painted. 😁 I hoping to be there this Friday. Hugs
Sorry about your phone! I usually catch the live on the replay cause I’m an early bird, but they are lots of fun regardless!
@@mollymollie6048 I'm ready for tonight!
Depending how many extra bags you have, I've placed them on top before closing box. Or if 24 or less placed on side where you put the 3 extra to keep all together. Also those sticky mats for holding trays is
great for picking up spilled drills. After picking off drills just a drop of soap with water cleans off the dirt, pet hair, etc. Let dry & reuse.
Going to start my first DP this Saturday so I've been watching your videos. I am glad I did because I would have been frustrated and confused! Thank you for so much information.
Love you Miss crochet and coffee You made my day today ..❤❤❤❤❤
Good Evening Mrs Coffee💜💜
Very wise words “Don’t give it power by giving it a label”
I really love the colours in this picture.
Hope your having the most amazing wk.
I haven't started yet but my grandpa ordered a diamond painting kit for me and I think I will like it because it just devours time!
I'm doing my 1st Diamong art painting. In 3 days, I don't know what I did before. Thanks for the tips
I love the Harbor Freight containers. Because the stickers are usually small and difficult for me to see, I use little blank stickers and write the symbol on the side and the DMC number on top. I have to draw the symbol and that is a challenge sometimes, but it is good enough for me to use. Also, if I have less than 24 colors in a kit, I take a foam roller and cut it to fit in the empty space. That helps keep the little boxes in place if I move the box around.
Great idea with the foam roller
Oh I’m just starting and I’m hooked😂 I have three more kits coming, two custom(my bird and pup) plus a wolf and moon. I was this way when I started making candles. I go all in. 😂
Thank you for explaining what to do when done, I’m by no means dumb but I was wondering what to do with everything afterwards.
I just want to thank you for all of your tutorials, you’re very good at it. I am doing my first Diamond Painting. I was really unsure of myself, but watching your tutorials made a difference and I love your humor. Thanks again!😊
Yay! Welcome to the Craft!
I just started DP you have taught me so much. Thanks for being you!!
💝
Your tutorials are great thanks! You know just what we need to learn and you're a great teacher! 🙏❤😷
Thank you 😊
You are so funny!! I love your videos! Very entertaining and informative!!
I really thank you for this video, and your others that help us newbies. I just ordered 4 Harbor Freight containers after seeing you kit this up. What an economical yet ergonomic way to go. sticker on Front is brilliant! Keep making such excellent videos please!
Wow! I love how DAC makes their legends in sticker form! I have my first DAC on pre-order, so I’ve been hand labeling everything with Avery removable mini labels.
New to this and have a color with over 10000 drills (not 310 this time lol) and some Harbor Freight looking good right now. The details are making a difference, the way you open the bags/pour without spillage, etc. Thanks for sharing, new subbie!
Thanks for the tutorial!
I wish I had known some of these tricks when I first started Diamond Painting. The trial and error got expensive for me.
This will be a great starting point for newbies and a great refresher for people like myself!
Nice tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for this! I just ordered two canvases. I can’t wait to start. Your videos are very helpful.
You are so welcome!
I cross stitch, crochet, loom knit, and now learning to diamond paint.
Love the spook. Another idea is to put a knee high stocking on your vacuum hose and it picks them up.
I learned if u put a sock over the vacuum cleaner hose it will pick up drills without spending money on a drill vac. BTW love your videos!
Ohh cool trick! Thank you
Love your videos. I am in the process of kitting up my first project. I bought the tic tac containers and they are perfect for this project. Keep up the videos! From Lansing, MI
You can get xyron sticker makers from eBay as well it’s a spotlight product but in Australia the stores don’t carry them they are available on line only but eBay is the best price for the maker and for refill tape it comes with both permanent and movable tape so they either are easy to take off your container when you have finished that project and wish to kit up another one
Wow.. I'm a newbie (on my 3rd canvas) and I spent some time doing just this the other night. I thought it was my own idea lol. I don't have sheet stickers that come with mine so I took a photo, edited all the background out to white and printed it and cut them all out and used tape to stick them on my boxes and some of my bags.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this... use essential oil to take anything sticky off containers! I tried this method on prescription bottles and works great!
Questions...
1. How do you store your leftover drills?
2.Do you mix the same dmc numbers but different dye lots together or do separate them?
3. Do you keep your DAC dimonds and your other companies dimonds together in long time storage?
Thank you keep the videos coming I love to watch them! You always have great ideas. FYI you got me hooked on Dimond art club...
1: I put my extra drills in a ziplock baggie in a box
2: Not all diamonds are of the same dye lot so I won't save them all, just if they are good quality
3. My favorite stores are all stored in there own boxes
As for your addiction to DAC...😇 Your Welcome 🥰
Hey Mrs coffee thanks again you have a wealth of info for DP. I framed my first one following your tutorial have a great night.
Thank you so much. Im a newby by watching videos to help me start with this craft..l am still ordering stuff so l can start. So excited. This was a big help. Great video. Hugs 🤗💞Ontario , Canada 🇨🇦🍁
Exactly the way I do them. I have about 30 Harbor Freight containers. Love to get them with the 30% off coupon they occasionally have.
I love my tic tac containers
Thank you again! I'm getting more excited to start!
You got some good techniques on your diamond painting drills I love it keep up the good work help more people like you
Hello, Mrs. Coffee. I am new to diamond painting, only have 2 completed experimental projects. I must say your humor and mad diamond painting skills are inspiring. I have definitely discovered that bigger is generally better. One thing I did want to mention is that dye lots of drills may be slightly different, so be careful if using on other projects. Keep on rocking your channel 👍
Thank you!
This was a very useful video. I like to be organized in all my crafting and seeing the harbor freight containers in action really helped me to know that's what I want to use. I was going to use the elizabeth ward containers but I like these a lot better. The current paintings I have don't have any sticker sheets, but I just used my label maker for now. It's a very small partial drill with only 9 colors. My next one has 24 colors and I should have my containers by then. I hope they're an affiliate because I used your link. Thank you so much for making this video
You’re awesome! I just bought Washi tape from watching your other video. Now I need to go to Harbor Freight! Thanks for sharing!
Very beautiful colors what I do when I don't get any DMC numbers is write the legend number And a - sign then the DMC number on the lids with permanent marker 🙂
I enjoy kitting up. I just got the Harbor Freight containers, excited to try them out. Thanks for the how to video!
666 is my favourite colour as well. I absolutely love it 🥰
Soo In your face. I Love it!
Hey there, about to get my first kit tomorrow so glad I found this video. Thnx 🥰
Glad it was helpful!
Pro tip: you can also write the legend on the little boxes with sharpie. If you reuse it, cover over the sharpie writing with a dry erase marker and you can wipe it off!
true
I treated myself to the craftmates lockables. The ones in binder and a few of the xxl ones 🥰
Thank you so much for this video!! I just received my VERY first diamond painting so this has been very helpful! Now to send Jackson off to Harbor Freight for some containers!! Love watching your videos, you brighten my day! 💞💞
🥰 Glad I could help & Brighten your day
@@MrsCoffee1 🥰
Great video, thank you for taking the time to show all of us newbies how to do all of these things. :)
Ooooh I love that diamond paining I’ve been thinking about getting that one!
I love your videos about diamond paintings dear. I am new to this hobby. Thanks a lot.
Thank you
Lol, yes living the 310 life is real. Great kitting up video Mrs. Coffee
Thank you
After a year I'm finally gonna kit this one up and start it ❤
This was very helpful too! Thank you so much. Now looking for the sectioning off the area’s. You do a great job explaining this.
Thanks 😊
Thank you. I kitted up my next project while I was watching this.
I think i found my new favorite channel 😍 i love ur v videos, I'm from holland and it's now 1.14 A.M. and I'm still watching
🥰
I just finished my first diamond painting and came close to running out of a couple of colors. I want to keep my extras. Do you use the same system for extras? Love your videos. Found Racheal Rae and she said to come and watch yours and I am so glad she did. Love both of you. Learned a lot from you two. Please keep videos coming. Thanks Pamela aka Pamer
🥰 congrats on your First Finish! Thanks for Checking me out, and Welcome to my Channel!
yes! you can kit them up the same way just get bigger containers so that you have enough storage.
Thank you for all your great ideas .
This is so useful thank you
Your welcome🥰🦊
Hi Mrs Coffee I just had a suggestion if you save the bag you put your trash in it has the name of your painting on it and if you save drills when you kit down you can put them in there and save them!💞
That's a Great Idea! Thank you
Tnx for this video it’s really helpful
Thank you so much!
I wish I had watched this video before I went out and bought a storage container and paid $15. I could have got this for $8. I’m all about saving money. I’m also very new to this. My husband helped me put all the drills into the little baggies as my containers had not come in yet.
It's ok, we're all New to this at one time and learn things along the way
Hi I'm new to your channel...your channel came across my feeder. I'm going to start my crafting journey with diamond painting.
Welcome to the Channel & the Craft 🥰
Thanks!
Thank you! So informative and helpful ❤️
I would label all of the containers first, then find and pot in the drills to each one.
With Being colorblind, i do it as I go less chance of me mixing up the colors
Great video I love the containers to
I use a drafting table so put one of those wooden TV trays next to my table and put my harbor freight containers on it instead of working out of the big box.
Amazing videos! Thank you so much!
Also here’s a tip to get the sticky off the top of your containers, just some rubbing alcohol. I always have rubbing alcohol on hand.
Now, it's not as much of an issue because the stickers come off easier. But rubbing alcohol or lemon essential oil is what I used
So this is my first DAC purchase I just made last night. So excited? Did you ever finish this one? I would love to see it completed!
I never completed sunflower but they have have her up finished on the website
She dose have good ideas
I love your reminder that there are no "craft police". 🤣 Do what works for you.
Great tutorial!! Ikit up my drills but still need space. What or where do you go with your extra drill......if you have them. Or missed drills. You got big dogs? I have Great Danes with powerful long tails...LOL
Very informative mrs coffee
“We’re not all scientists!” Lol 😂
When I kitted up black beauty I wrote on white stickers with a pen and taped them on the square compartments for my drills, I would share a picture here if I could 🙂
Wish I could get that storage system. Here in Australia - think I going to try dacice round storage system
I am new to your channel and love your videos
Welcome!! So glad you're enjoying watching :)
Thank u so much u gave me a idea
my favorite dmc is 3756 :)
I found it easier to take apart the bags from the strip and put the bags in order by dmc code before i label so when im labeling i can grab the bag faster. It cuts off some time for kitting up and saves a little sanity. Lol
It actually adds time, because to seperate organize in numerical order then label the containers your adding atleast another 5-10mins to your kit up time. In my experience.
@@MrsCoffee1 that sounds true. I have a little helper( my 6 year old) who loves diamond painting with me helps kitting up. I think that factors in too. But im still new and learning and your videos have helped me a lot.
Oh yes when having tiny helper it does make the process easier for them to put them in numerical order. Also help them with #'s and Hand eye coordination. Good Job Momma!
Hey Mrs. Coffee. How are you? I LOVE this DP. She is gorgeous
Hi Sticky, I am great, How are you 😊
@@MrsCoffee1 I'm ok. Healing from a broken elbow. I'm getting a fix watching you. It's hard to DP with one hand but I am doing my best.
I am a new , working on my first DP .. stopped so i cold watch videos so i dont mess it up.. lol .. i plan on saving my leftover drills to use on original stuff so the # will not be so important , just the color
The dmc # is what's important
@@MrsCoffee1 not if i just say draw a picture on my eyeglass case and pick what ever colors from my leftover drills to color it in .. then the DMC # would not be an issue
I just got a 40 by 80 hit from heartful diamonds 55 colors I have to kit up today its gonna take awhile lol
So have you done a video about adhesive plastic on top of your painting? I’m confused as to why do I need additional plastic other than what came with my painting. Keep in mind I’m NEW NEW to this and I have only done ONE 😂😂
Aww well Hello :) Welcome to the Craft, Then you are definitely going to want to check out the Pocket Guide to Diamond Painting Playlist I have. It's a series of shortish video's explaining everything Diamond Painting. To answer your question, Some people don't like the sound of the plastic on their kits so they re cover it. With either Opaque, Parchment, or clear plastic.
Pocket guide Playlist: ruclips.net/p/PL32gsoUfb8Xam6t8-KfVfQWFGFw1krLUX
Crafting with Mrs. Crochet and Coffee thank you!!! I will definitely check that out after work. Thanks for answering my questions and BTW I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!
Is there a point to saving the drills that are NOT numbered by the DMC numbering system? I have a couple of cheaper kits and the drills are just numbered 1, 2, 3, or A, B, C, etc… so the colors are relative to one specific project and not a standard system.
Not really in my opinion
I am fascinated by the sticker maker. Can you put a llink to Amazon? ty
They don't mame this particular style anym
More but they have this one
amzn.to/3rVlMZo
Hi! I had a question myself about this storage method, Will the stickers leave residue when you go to remove them ? If so, what would you suggest to use to remove the residue
The new stickers won't no but if they do, grab a bit of goo gone, and you should be right as rain
Hola. Muchas gracias,
