I just bought one of these today. The gentleman bought it brand-new for his son who never used it it's still was brand new with the original plastic on it. It works beautiful I really want to find a handle now and of course the kickstand
@@isaiahsreviews Thanks for the response. I rode it around a lot today and it has developed a clicking sound on one of the wheels. Does it have to do with my weight or something else?
@@PeterLarsenJr that I'm not sure about. Back when I had the original model it was the last segway actually made before ninebot took over the build and that original segway was a tank
Question: does the remote app work once you put the aftermarket taller handles? I’m interested in using this during my golf round.. and like the handle idea but you seem to make it sound as if the top-heaviness makes it uncontrollable once the heavier piece is added. Lastly, what about the ability to carry you uphill/ downhill ( in steepness condition)
Once the handle is on it will not balance itself and you'll need a kickstand on it. The climbing ability is fantastic and works amazingly well on grass.
I know I'm late to the game. Love the information brother. Had my outdoor hoverboard die and its never done it. I was like on the Titanic if Rose dove head first lol got this so maybe things will get a bit easier. Again ty for sharing
If you hit any pot holes or miss a driveway ramp because it is done too smooth it will pop you up as there is nothing to hold you down and no handles to help those with less than perfect back. You would not want to go faster than 10 miles per hour or you would really be poped up in the air if you hit anything.
I have the 14 Mile range Minipro that I purchased in Feb 2017 and it clearly says Ninebot right above Segway on the steering bar. Ninebot makes all the MiniPro's under the Segway Name. Ninebot purchased Segway in 2015. That said this is the best thing EVER! I use to for short trips all the time. Its like you get to go outside and enjoy the outdoors without having to exercise. It is so natural to ride it once you learn and it does not take long to learn. You can be comfortable riding it in less than 30 minutes.
Yes it says Ninebot but Segway made this model before Xiaomi bought Ninebot. A Segway salesman told me this is the best quality model before Xiaomi changed it
Love mine, and the upright handle bar is Awesome. Feels as though I'm riding one of the Big Boys... Thanks for sharing... Thumbs Up ! I'm a new Subscriber to your channel. Safe rides always...
I notice there's a ninebot mini plus, and that mini plus has 2 x 800 watt motors. Hopefully they make a mini pro with 2 x 800 watt motors, as the mini pro at least has adjustable bar. The mini plus hasn't got a height adjustable bar.
I have had mind for two years and the charger gets very hot when charging. It automatically shuts off before fully charged because the charger block over heats. Does yours do this? Segway support has been very little help and wants me to pay $89 to get a new charger when they don’t know if I need it. Thanks for your help!
Eli Melet No I don't have a problem with overheating. Hopefully it's your charger and not the batteries. That might be expensive and at that point it might be cheaper to buy a new one if you can find one on sale
Eli Melet - How hot is hot? If you can’t hold your hand on it or you smell something burning, then it is too hot. Make sure you connections are clean and put a fan on it. Heat is the enemy and will expedite component failure. You can amp your charger too. Most likely, I would purchase a new charger and or batteries. In general, as a rule of thumb, batteries can not be trusted after 5 years unless well taken care of.
Do you find the speedometer on your 9bot app accurate? On mine, it's off. For example, the 9bot apps shows that I'm going 10mph. But then I switch to the speedometer apps that uses gps and it shows that I'm doing 8mph. So which one is right? If the gps is right, then I'm getting cheated by the Segway and I could be going 2 mph faster. I cannot confirm which is right.
I would rather pay 2.5x the money to get an electric unicycle that goes over 4x faster(45mph), has over 3x the power (2500w), and 7x the range(100miles). I have put dozens of miles on a Segway MiniPro and hundreds of miles on high performance electric unicycles and there is really no comparison. The only reason I like segways better is they are easier to ride during the first few hours of practice.
@@jshepard152 I had a Kingsong 16x. That was a really fun unicycle to play around on, it had some amazing features, and an excellent range for it's more compact size. The biggest downside is that it would only do 30mph and it had lots of voltage sag limiting the speed even further when going up hills. My favorite unicycle when riding on big open roads is the 100v 1880wh MSX. I have personally done over 40mph on it and I can cruise on the MSX up hills at over 30mph when the Kingsong could only do 17mph up it.
The whole point is this device is NOT a hoverboard. It's a mini segway. It's much more stable due to the steering system. Hoverboards have a cheap unstable foot pedal steering system and nowhere near as usable as the segway.
Probably not hard to learn bit the guy that invented it got killed by his Segway when it tossed him over a cliff! True story good to know don't space out and get complacent a dui is possible also and pretty bad just like a car.
The more I watch the more he scares me with his advise, this guy has not put many miles on any model or would have a different opinion. There is no shocks and the new ones don’t go backwards?
CAVEAT EMPTOR or buyer beware!!!!! The company fails to mention that the battery can easily go flat which means you have to throw it in the garbage. The cost of repair is NOT worth the cost of the actual product. NICE GOING SEGWAY FOR RIPPING OFF THE CONSUMER.
This thing is a boat anchor...will not recommend this to anyone...yet. Brand new, fresh out of the box, charged overnight and won’t turn on....the Segway site is as useful as an Eskimo learning Swahili...not impressed.

I think it was this one amzn.to/3tI62dr
What is better between this and the Onewheel?
how come my dont have a stand ?
How much is too much for weight of a rider, in your opinion? I’m 240. Good?
Yeah that should be fine

If your thinking about getting one GET IT ! Its amazing i have one and love it
Awesome 😃👍 I've got something special no-one has coming next month (hopefully)
Migo Abu I am thinking about getting one
What can u do on it
Very neat, how is this thing going over curbs or bumps, say the raised part of the driveway coming from the street?
Oh should be great for that no problems

There are many solutions on RUclips...
How quickly can you stop (safely) ? Like if something runs out in front of you doing 10 mph.
Really fast if you develop the muscle memory on how to react. If you have to think about it 😣 it's too late

I want to get this and I wasn't sure about the handle, but your video helped clear it up. Thanks
Awesome 😃👍
My Segway will be here today X sy Ted.
Awesome have fun 😃👍
Look fun. Is it look that easy to ride? I just order one from Amazon and hope I can ride it.
Very easy after figuring out how to get on 😃👍
Okay...my wife purchased one...I’d like to join her while riding so what is the maximum weight tolerance?
220lb max is the spec but can probably go a little higher

Confused a lot on what to buy for my daily commute. Please suggest whether I should buy Segway es4 or Segway mini pro.
I'd say es4 unless you have some hills to climb then I'd go with the mini pro
Thanks
Hi, do you have a link to the kickstand?

Looks like a fun time just whipping around on that thing.

tongmovies That I don't know without an external speed gun pointed at me
Why would thy want to rid it of the handles? So many disabled people could use this as an electric walker.
I love my old one that is used for tours.
Can I just enjoy life like this guy. 🤦🏻♂️
One day 🏃
absolutely love our mini pro. Purchased the upright handle bars and well worth it....
William Schaub Awesome
Handlebars really suck the fun out of it. Might as well just get a normal Segway
i ride a mini pro and smax because the wheels are side by side better to go low speeds for safety.

I got a bunch of these to sell! Glad I kept them as the new ones are not as good.
The handle is ruining the whole "hoverboard" concept. I dont think you should put the handle because then it's not really what the whole fun is

This device is NOT for fun, per say, it is a legitimate personal transporter, if you want "fun" may I suggest an amusement park

I’d rather ride a e-bike. This is unstable and dangerous.
I just can’t take that accent seriously.
