  • Ruggedizing the Healthcare Landscape through Democratization of Critical Learning for Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs)
    Description:
The recent times have proven the fragility of the healthcare system across geographies, be it a surge in seasonal diseases or the outbreak of a pandemic. The waiting periods in Emergency rooms (ER) are a known concern in many countries including the most developed of nations. One of the reasons is a shortage of licensed nurses. There have been multiple studies which indicate the high failure rates of nursing candidates in the final stages of the licensing exams. For example: www.opencampus.... While in-person learning/teaching are irreplaceable, immersive learning modules & simulations, that can be accessed on demand, can play a great role in ensuring improved retention & better situational awareness for these nursing candidates in a cost-effective manner. Students can learn at their own pace & in an environment where they feel comfortable to fail. This coupled with the ability of the simulations to test their cognitive abilities will help them make informed decisions, preparing them for real-life scenarios in hospitals. Leading schools in different geographies are now gradually including these modules as part of their learning curriculum to make the training more holistic for their students. Initial feedback has been welcoming & the students feel more engaged & eager to participate. Hopefully, these experiences will aid an improvement in pass rates for nurses thus allowing better trained HCPs join the workforce & reduce the burden on the highly stressed healthcare system globally. One case study will be explained with KPIs and customer testimonials.
