Hi friends! Today I am continuing my swatch stick series by swatching ALL my Starrily nail polishes (there are over 150!) onto swatch sticks! This is my biggest brand for the series so far - I've already done Mooncat, Holo Taco, and Cadillacquer on my channel :) Which brand should I organize next?

Ok, leave it to Kelli to teach me how to use the swatch sticks correctly. I was painting the top like my nails but then I had to use a topcoat to see the glossy finish - 🤦🏽♀️ Now I see the reason to paint underneath! Never too old to learn and that’s why I’m here! ❤
If it makes you feel better, I believe she is doing it for personal preference, not that there's a right way to do it
Haha! Yes, it's definitely just personal preference, don't worry 😅😅 the real downside to painting them underneath is you kind of lose that linear holo pigment 😬
Also, I've done it both ways and some polishes kinda melt/bubble the swatch stick and makes the whole thing useless. It's not foolproof painting the bottom.
Definitely no right or wrong way of doing it.
In my experience, most swatch sticks come scuffed, scratched or damaged in some way. Being able to always see that would personally drive me nuts so I polish over my sticks.
Plus, if you don't like the first coat you paint, you can fix it on the next coat (example: a streaky polish or flakie). I like being able to cover up any mistakes or make it look better on buildup.
I mean it doesn't look the same at all. I've done it both ways and much prefer painting it the way it'd look on my fingers instead of a fake plastic 'topping'.
I've been having to skittle every manicure as of late because I can't decide on a single one. I blame you 😅. I love these whole collection videos.

How do you remember out of all the polishes you've got which ones are magnetic and which ones aren't? Your background music is always so soothing to listen to
Honestly it is hard to remember 🤣 for cataloging, I've been writing M if it's magnetic on the label!
This is what I put on for background music while I work & every few minutes I look up & get detracted with pretty polishes 😅😅😅

One thing I now know for sure, I need starrily’s entire collection. I don’t have any yet but I want every single shade I just saw 👀 PS: Kelli, RUclips didn’t show me this video right away. Normally it does. But so glad I went and looked for it! So satisfying!

Starrily has become my go-to brand. I love the variety of colors and their formula is so very easy to work with. I've really enjoyed seeing your collection like this and it encouraged me to do the same. And boy howdy it has been so nice to just pull my swatch sticks to see how colors go together without needing to pull polishes out of the case.
Yesss seriously so convenient to have the swatch sticks! I've still got a lot to go but it's already been so helpful for comparisons!

I love my Starrily's! They're the brand I have the most of...not nearly as many as you though lol. I wish I hadn't missed out of getting some of these...still crossing my fingers for a restock of The Planets.
On another note, I swatched sticked all of my polishes shortly before you started this series. It's so handy to be able to flip through the sticks to decide what to use!

I don't have that many polishes from Starrily, but Daisy is one of my absolute favorite polishes. I wouldn't even say it's a super unique polish...when I saw it in the video, I thought "Yes, still gorgeous." :D

I wish they would release The Planets Collection because I ran out of a couple bottles. Can I tell you how much I am obsessed with axolotls now? Honestly I'm not really keeping track because the swatch sticks take a lot more coats for opacity than regular nails in my experience! I'd guess maybe 4-5 coats per polish but I just paint them until they're opaque and then film the last coat 😅

Hi Kelly. I've moved house 1500kms and I'm in the process of putting my collection back together. I'm putting my swatch sticks in rainbow order but leaving my bottles together by brand. What did you do or will do for your flakes and glitters that don't have a specific colour to fit in the rainbow spectrum?
Tidal Wave and the Chemistry of Love collection need to come back! I didn't realize Moon Glow was so gray. NailStuff still had a signed version of your Galaxy Crate. I picked that up plus Dragon and Corpse Flower. I'm excited about them having seen all your swatches. I also picked up a bunch of others I'd been waiting to buy until my tax return came in. I grabbed Planet X and Cosmic Voyage because I caught the planet collection (no box) in a destash this week. I wanted something for my 10th finger. :-) Now I have a choice.

Kelli, Ive started doing swatch sticks of my collection, totally down to your inspiration! It is so satisfying looking at all the beautiful colors! I bought the same label maker that you use, but unpeeling the back off the printed label is making me crazy. Do you have a trick to doing it properly? Thanks for all your hard work! 💜
Oh my gosh no I haven't figured out a trick and it's my least favorite part of the process LOL. Idk about you, but those pesky backings cling to my hands constantly and I'm always flailing to get them off 🤣
Oh but the refills do have a split backing so removal is a lot easier (still clings though!)

That's not true actually! I usually do 4-5 coats for swatch sticks, they require a lot more coats than my regular nails 😅

Ahh yeah that's too much - international shipping is the worst! But they do have a UK stockist that should be much more affordable, they don't always have the polishes in stock but worth checking out, they're called Hypnotic Polish!

I miss hearing you say the polishes name and the description. Also the final screen where they are All shown. That probably wouldn't fit. I know that it would take longer to do that. Love your work!

Ok, I don't any starrily yet I keep kind of revisiting their site because Ive wanted norepinephrine for at least a year. Now are u really a pink Floyd fan? Because I am a monster fan. If u ever get a chance to see brit Floyd do it! To call them a cover band is degrading, they are every bit as good as pink Floyd itself. The most entertained I've ever been. Not exaggerating. If u get the chance u guys gotta go. Holy smokes it's literally jaw dropping.
