My first day of first grade outfit was a 3 tiered skirt with a neon green, neon yellow and neon orange tier, and a black top with a neon pink sleeve and I think the other sleeve was neon green. It had a random plastic emblem sewn onto the middle of the shirt. Same vibes! I am also reminded of those black and white generic notebooks when I see that topper. Ooh, what about a white and black slightly marble nail look with this topper on it?

This topper tho! 😍🙀 😮 i need it!!!
The reason why yellows are sheer : it is simply because the base of the polish can't have a lot of white in it. That what gives the opacity to any color! So if they are super bright they have mostly only clear ingredients and yellow pigments. If they add white the yellow will be tone down so much in brightness that people won't like it and complain about the lack of brightness.
Wheb you check the Holo Taco crèmes it's really obvious because they separate really fast and you see the white base. Like in my duck tape grey specially 😅
This is the same for paint and any medium that you paint with. White is use for toning down and opacity 😊

I rarely get full collections, but I had to have this whole collection. Something about the nuances of the colors speak to me so much! Also I don't own any neon polishes so this just seemed perfect. And that topper, ugh, everything about this collection had me. I'm impatiently waiting for it to come in the mail 😊 and those gradient promo pics are so dang good!
Yesss those promo pics made me 100x more excited for these colors hahaha!
Mix it up is perfect, the peachy pink and the blue. The yellow seems to have more life over the white. The only one ay I could use the topper is picking some out for Halloween. The teal screams Fall to me.😊
I'm one of those people that normally doesn't care for black flake toppers, but can definitely see myself using this one. Sheerness aside, Let's Bounce is the perfect summer color for me.

I've done nail art on one of my friends. And on my 11 year old daughter. I wish YT would let post pics in the comments so I could show it off lol. It was super cute xmas trees and my daughter was super happy ❤.

your fun fact reminded me of when I was younger, I used to be a KILLER at doing other people's nails with nail art and all, but i could not do it on myself (mainly bc i bit my nails and i didnt have room for anything) but when i started growing my nails out and doing my own nail art, something somehow switched up and now i absolutely cannot do other people's nails... but mine always look good! hahaha
It really does feel like a totally different skill set to do other people's nails 🤣🤣

I bought the entire KBShimmer neon set last year. I'll probably get the teal and the violet from this set, but the rest just don't speak to me. I can see why others would like them, but that's them. Not me.
I wouldn't do nail art on anyone because Graves Disease gave me a tremor that never really went away. I'm also not into celebrities at all. I scarcely know who 90% of them are now, and wouldn't recognise them if they came right up to me.
I know it sounds impossible, but some of us really don't give a bloody toss about TV shows or movies or whatever passes for Western music these days. Now if it were K-dramas and K-Pop, I can tell you all about those, but what's popular in the US? Not so much.

I was originally considering the holo taco black flakie topper because I really like the idea of a mint chip mani, but I think kbshimmer just edged them out. Not only do you get a bigger bottle for a similar cost, but the various shapes make it so much fun! The cremes in the collection are stunning too.
The fun shapes really makes such a difference haha I love it!!
I would love to see a comparison to previous vice colors. To see if any similarities exist and which formula you like better or if they're pretty much the same.

I love neon. Only thing I like about summer is people start wearing and making neons lol. I probably have these colors but I still love to see them and the topper was cute looked like some black squares in the mix

I'm excited to get this. Got notification today that my package has shipped. That teal shade and the black glitter are perfection! I am 100% on board with you about their topcoat. It is all I use anymore. I wish they sold refill bottles in a larger size, 4 oz just is not enough… LOL.

I loooove the color of Let’s Bounce - those colors are so hard to get totally opaque but it’s sooo bright and beautiful!! 🤩 love the fun topper too. I got a rainbow circle and black leopard glitter topper from KBShimmer in Polish Pick Up a few months ago, they do such amazing unique and funky toppers!!

I’ve often wondered, since I started doing my own nails, how hard it might be to do someone else’s nails. Sometimes I think it might be easier, then other times I’m certain it would be way too hard! I’ve painted my granddaughters nails before, multiple times, but they’re all young! 😂 So it’s swipe, swipe… we’re done! 🤣
Haha oh yeah little nails arent TOO difficult thankfully 😂 I can paint my nieces nails until she gets too old and starts having preteen sized hands, that's when it gets too difficult LOL

@@KelliMarissa i got the pink and orange and like 3 random others lolll. sometimes kbshimmer doesn't dry down well for me (usually the reactive polishes) but i think that's the type of polish more than kb themselves. i'll see more with these new ones though

80s & early 90s Kid here... the neon yellow is the only 80s neon in this collection. 😂 Is pretty, though! I think of neon blue as turquoise / cyan. More artifical than Caribbean Blue, but that's the closest color in nature. 🏝
For some reason when I see neon turquoise my mind sometimes goes to green 😂 but of course there's also neon green to contend with! Ahh, too many good options 😂😂
I was so against white bases for neons. Mostly I fail at fully covering the white. I always seem to miss the tiniest sliver and it drives me batty. But also, because I struggled with white bases themselves (not being one coat, not being self leveling) and I always felt like that always made my nails feel too thick or look too lumpy when working with white bases that were too thick. I've found white polishes I like now but also have a lot better success using tinted bases. I notice the spots I miss with the neon less and I do feel like it helps blur that nail line enough.
Maybe that's why I wasn't a fan of white bases as well haha but now I can get away with one coat of OPI Alpine Snow and it's an easy formula to work with so it doesn't give me any issues as a base!
I love that black flake topper. I bought that the teal and blue polish from this collection. I have a set if neon polishes from another brand that I bought last year, I think the teal and blue will be a nice addition.

These are really cool. I don’t usually go for neons because of their typical opacity but these look great and pretty opaque. I fully support the skittle and gradient ideas. These colors should definitely be together.
I'm just dying to do the pink-coral-yellow combo, it feels like the perfect summer sunset gradient!
This a beautiful collection, they almost looks plumper than most neons if that makes sense, but I'll definitely have to get these and the black flaky topper is amazing, the gradient idea is also great 👍

Thanks for reviewing these! I heard these had a more crelly formula than say Cirque’s neons. Would you say that’s true? I have Cirque neons, HT neons, & Orly (Lisa Frank) neons. So, I want to be sure these are a little different.
Yes I do think they're more crelly-like for sure (but still reach full opacity!) It kind of reminds me of a red polish formula, sort of juicy and jellylike but still opaque haha
That's a good question... Wonder if they're closer to how Dressed to Krill is (w/o the shimmer)

Ahh! Well those are amazing too tbh, and I'd say most of them are pretty different than these so if you ever decide to bulk up your neons you can add these in too in the future 😅😅
maybe a dumb question, but I don't know how to use nail oils. How much should I leave them on? what do you remove them with?

These are gorgeous. I did notice when you searched the yellow you used one coat of white and one yellow. I've tried using white as a base and normally it's very streaky. I then let it dry and put the neon over it and could see the streaks in the neon polish. I tried two coats of white but usually after all is said and done the whole manicure looks awful as it looks too thick on the nails. The other problem is cleaning the cuticle messes up the manicure on the side walls of nail. Any suggestions? Thank you. Love your search videos!!
I do think it can depend on the brand you're using - I think with this yellow, it has more of a jelly/crelly kind of finish so it's not streaky like some other neons! But it might be worth doing one coat of a blurring base or a white base, and then two coats of the neon color on top!

I thought triangles at first but I think there are just some shards that ended up being perfectly cut lol!

Kelli is it necessary to store neon polishes far away from the sun? I've heard they can fade??
Yes definitely! Honestly I recommend storing ALL your nail polishes far from direct sunlight because all nail polish can fade over time in direct light (but neons especially!)

… sorry girl I still don’t like black flakes 😭😭😭 all I can think of is mold when I see them and I have a primal fear of mold (like panic attack bad) so black flakes are an immediate no from me
