Windsor is great. it is not huge and dumpy like Toronto, but it is big enough for stores and fun stuff. Plus, it is right next to Detroit - if you want any big city stuff, including a US airport. London and Toronto are just down the 401, so we do weekend trips. A bit of everything. Enjoy your time here. Let me know how it goes
