This CD doesn't take hold the first listen, you have to spin it a couple times to really get into it. But once you do, it's absolutely wonderful.

The 1st time this album show up, i refused to listen any Blink Song without Tom on it. But just a few days ago, i heard darkside, and i actually think that is a very good song. Then i decide to listen California album and i was blown away, the music is great. Too bad i cannot find any California CD in my country, so i only able to stream it on Joox.

honestly? who cares if this album is stereotypical pop punk? who cares if it has a lot of na na nas and whoas in the song. It's still a really great album, and the songs are still really good even if a lot of them are pretty common.
It's a so so album actually and it's not overrated which is good.
It's Blink-182, a lot of people would have been pretty bummed if it didn't have anything that could be comfortably dismissed as stereotypical pop-punk :)
It’s so quick and subtle I doubt most people heard it but at 0:19 and 1:19 there are 4 quick Piano notes that Travis hits and it’s just so powerful. It’s my favorite parts of the song. So fucking beautiful and smooth. It just flows into the song perfectly. ❤️🦁🙏👍
The last thing that I want to do before dying is to listen to Blink 182!!.

this is a great album. Has eements of punk rock, emo, pop punk and very Blink. Mark reallly reinvented Blink here. credit Matt and Travis

I think ‘Teenage Satellites’ is the last song that we wrote for the record, or the next to last song. That song started off, I was in the studio by myself, and I had Matt’s guitar. Matt had had a new guitar made that had gotten delivered to the studio and I was playing on it. And I was just playing this one octave chord. And John [Feldmann] walked into the studio and he goes “What are you playing?” and I said “I dunno I just made it up” and he goes “Okay cool” and he got behind the board, and we plugged it in, and he hit record, and we just started building it from there."
Matt chimed in:
Very John."
Mark agreed, noting:
Yeah, very John. imitating Feldmann “Wh-what’s that? What’s that? Oh that’s cool, let’s record that. Let’s do that right now” and build a song around it. It was one of those songs that came together very quickly and I like the spirit of the song. I like the sentiment of the song. I like the lyrics. I think that it’s a very - it’s one of those songs that, when you hear it, you want to go out and conquer the world."

Their new stuff sound so much like early 2000s nostalgic pop-punk. Reminds me of Straylight Run, Saves the Day, Starting Line, New Found Glory, Boys like Girls. I feel nostalgia when I hear this like it came out in 2003 or so yet it just came out this week.

I got this album on a whim to see how much they changed, or honestly, to see how bad they sound now with all the drama surrounding them... and I was pleasantly suppressed with how much it reminded me of Enema of the State. I am honestly wondering if people saying it doesn't sound like their old stuff were too young to remember Enema of the State...
All I see are people commenting on these blink songs, saying how they sound like 'this band' or 'this artist'. Don't you realize that ALL THOSE BANDS SOUND LIKE BLINK.
Blink 182 are the originals, they provided the inspiration for many of the bands you are commenting about. Blink can sound like whoever the f*ck they want to.
True, I've come across a few comments about Panic! At The Disco and All Time Low and even Fall Out Boy but Panic! covered many Blink-182 songs before they became an official band and they also practiced with Fall Out Boy so I guarantee you they were both fans of Blink, and I have no proof of All Time Low having any relation to them but it's kinda obvious
All Time Faggs have also cited Blink as one of their main influences so yes...

The early 20s can be pretty cool sometimes, so don't feel so bad about leaving behind a face full of zits, weekend homework, and the kind of BO that makes you smell like a dead wildebeest. Being a teenager wasn't THAT great. The early 20s can also be pretty fucked up if it makes you feel better :)

I'm getting pretty fucking annoyed by all the people saying this sounds like +44 and they wish Blink would make songs like their old music. like just don't listen to them then cuz obviously they're gonna sound like +44 cuz they have same singer and style and they are gonna sound different than they did in the 90s cuz the band isn't 17 anymore they've matured alot. legit this same argument can be made of U compare dude ranch to take off your pants and jacket. I mean for fuck sakes these guys are in their 30s now

P!NK HAiR its old Blink 182 elements and +44 elements blended together perfectly. its sad tom is gone sure but what we have now is pretty refreshing. i hope to see more good stuff with Matt. He's a good replacement

The voices set apart at octaves sounds really cool. This is a really good song. Honestly I thought California would be lame since it's new, but I love it! There are so many good songs!

Call me crazy but this is top 10 Blink songs for me. This song and No Future are classics! Album is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, and neither was neighborhoods!

I love Blink. But this is the most stereotypical pop-punk album ever created.

Terry Rode That's the thing. Blink was never trying to be Blink before. They we're trying to be a band and their sound resulted purely from their youthfull fun loving energy and musical talent ( or lack there of. )
This album is trying to be a Blink record, aswell as trying to be an album that sells to non-blink fans. And I know the album is coming from this mindset because of two things, they're in there 40's, and every song on this album has an old-blink equivilent. Home is such a lonely place is the modern day I miss you, cynical is Go. You get the point. I really want to love this album but I just can't.

+Doug McQuade blink has always used them though. the fact so many people are complaining about it now just goes to shows peoples bitter feelings towards blink continuing without Tom.
Javious they haven't used them as freqeuntly in one album before. And they're all at the end of the songs. And i love skiba

Reading these comments make me glad that I didn't grow up listening to Blink (yup, I said it). Listening to this album on my own, I thought it was fantastic, but apparently my opinions are wrong because "it's too basic" or "it's not Tom." Glad you guys let trivial things like those skew your opinions of good music.

+Jared Wilkerson the guitar style is similar, and rumor has it that tom was the one who thought of the whole "California" theme for a record. The writing style is relevant to his as well. And "Left Alone" also has a very AVA style and flow to it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but all these songs are unique. You obviously can't see that if you don't grow up with the band. Neighborhoods have some sick ass songs. I love the tunes and lyrics. Tom is great and everyone has already forgotten about Scott. If you knew Matt from Alkaline trio then you can feel him bringing some of that essence into this band which makes this album kick ass. It's a little mellow but it's fucking deep if you can relate to any of these songs. I like the fast pop punk sounds but they're all great because this is a great band. Lol don't complain about a damn thing. Mark, Matt, & Travis are great!!!
