- A lap in the Dacia Logan - the slowest car of the ADAC TOTAL 24 hour race Nürburgring. 165 horsepower and laptime of more then 12 Minutes on the 25,3 kilometres long racetrack. But for the Dacia boys, the race is the goal.

You can't tell me that driving one of those cars isn't just finessing your way into having a premium spot to watch the race while having some fun on the side yourself.

I don't like it. It's cool to have affordable cars in the race, it's cool to get a "premium spot" to watch the race by driving this sh*tbox, but this is just dangerous. Imagine if they race at night in fog/rain, to me it looks like this car is for surely going to cause an accident sooner or later. He's literally going 145 kph where the fast cars will go 250+. That's dangerous as hell when visibility is impaired.

@@kHz33 inevitably the Porsche was at fault, I only saw the video from the Hyundai's point of view and you could very clearly see the Dacia and no matter what racing series you are in the car doing the overtake has to make sure it's done safely. I don't know if the Porsche hit him because he didn't look ahead properly or because he was too impatient to wait for a gap to form and just tried to pass without slowing down but either way it's a very unfortunate ending for the Dacia. Hope they come back with something else

Affordable for who? the fact that the car is "cheap" doesn't mean it is affordable to run in the 24h of Nurburgring
The 24h on the ring isn't just about the GT3's it's also about getting a car with a bunch of friends and making your dream come true.

@@Thomas_Bergel After sponsors and sharing it between multiple drivers, it does come into the "relatively affordable" range, if you're committed to it.
well this is not ur regular dacia logan 1.4 75hp...it has a lot of modifications and they are costly.
It must be very scary, especially at night with the big difference in speed. You guys definitely have big balls to do this. Good luck and bring the car and yourselfs home.
Too bad there was no nightdriving. I do think though thats its easier at night for the dacia, if you see lights hug the curb off the line and put the indicator on 🤣
Update....The Dacia Logan Project is over due to lack of parts and the engine isn't being produced anymore. It was wracked around 5:40ish on Sunday Morning May 21, 2023. RIP Dacia Logan.....you will be missed.

This car has become a legend. It's a shame that this "fighter" no longer exists.
They found sponsors and they received a lot of support so I am hopeful to see motivation to repair that car and to see them for 2024.

@@axelcalin The reason the cannot carry on is because the engine is not produced any more. It is the engine from a renault clio cup car. So they could buy another dacia but they would have to find a different engine

We need more cars like the Dacia and the Manta. It was a race where they found a class in which you could compete, a race for Fans, by Fans. The line up is getting less and less exiting.
For me the normal cars are more interesting. But normal don't need to be very low power. But I think 165hp in a Dacia is decent.
the only difference between those two cars is, that the Manta is actually fast
@@theflotheflo easy, when you have 3.000 years experience and a Volker Strycek and Olaf Beckmann driving a Kissling Manta. That's pretty much german racing royalty. At least Opel royalty. I Love the car and the effort. I heard they even made a pit stop once because the fox tail fell off. Miss the old days where even a VW Bus competed. In the 90s the race was the most fun.

Das Konzept steckt wirklich an. Was eine geile Sache als Rennsportfan einfach mit dabei zu sein. Und weil das Auto so abstrus ist, wirst du auch noch in jeder Kurve gefeiert von den Fans. Das Fahrzeug ist zwar (noch) nicht so kultig wie der Manta, aber ein Top - Kandidat!
Ich wäre gerne mit dem Dacia gefahren.
Der Dacia ist wirklich spitze, schade, dass sie ihn im Rennen kaum gezeigt haben.

Man, that wing causes some serious drag... Ever tried it without wing? With 165hp it should be able to do at least 200km/h.

To slow for 165hp! My Bmw 320 touring in standard road condition fits 230kmh

Can't say anything about Nordschleife, because you can't drive the full Döttinger Höhe as tourist.
@@K-oZ Döttinger Höhe is not full drivable on tourist drive, because in the half it’s the inlap/outlap Gate. Bit 175kmh looks like the standard transmission from the Dacia. With the Clio Williams engine they will have much power and torque inside the slower sections but loose much time at main straight. I driven the nordschleife with my bmw e30 convertible some years ago and i think that the car is not much slower then the Dacia, it just had 115HP from the 318i M40 Engine. In Never will be Drive a Real 24h lap, but from the theory the Dacia could be drive faster.

Misha is such a nice person and is just happy being there. Most people including myself would be irritated with everyone passing me and going so slow but Misha he's having the time of his life that's a sign of someone who truly loves what they are doing.

@@FoXakaFoX Jo, dafür ist der Dacia nicht langsam genug. Die SP9 Klasse schafft Zeiten um die 8:10 Minuten (Rennbedingungen trocken eher 8:30/8:40), der SCG liegt in einem ähnlichen Bereich. Heißt das wäre nur möglich, wenn der Dacia ca. 17 Minuten für eine Runde bräuchte, da diese 2 Runden in der selben Zeit zurück legen müssten für 2 Überrundungen innerhalb einer Runde.

The Dacia is basically a vip seat to watch the 24hr of nurb, I love it
The Dacia, together with the Manta, is the reason why I watch the 24h race. They fight harder than all the others because they don't have so many electronic aids and co. The 24h race is hard for everyone, no question. But for me, the winners are always the same ones who compete again every time. That's why I'm now bitterly grieving for the Dacia, which will have no future for the time being after the violent accident. Let's hope that a miracle will happen and we will still see it rolling to the start next year.

Unfortunately I also saw a lot of fans who didn't want Logan there. But compared to the other cars, it is already an exotic one. In general, Dacia are very old outside of one-make cups
@@marvinlinnarz5856 and he gives the race some life other than these crazy cars you could drive. He adds so much personality, and he's just one more obstacle for these cars. Inadvertently he might even be making the race safer lol by forcing these insane cars to slow down a bit.

The Manta was by no means the slowest car even in general, especially since it qualified 92nd, fastest of the SP3's, beating both *factory* toyotas in the process with a time of 10:04.291 🤣

Amazing. This looks slower than my Miata 1.6 on the Nordschleife Tourist. But still amazing. Great to see a Dacia Logan at the 24h of Nürburgring. This is the sort of car and sort of human we really need at the 24h Race. Because it's a ton of fun to see all the different cars on the ring. And anyone is doing their best.
