We had a brilliant new year in PdC a few years ago. We were up near the Fariones end of the strip. It was closed with firemen, ambulances and police standing around. Our waiter was totally hammered however our meal turned out fine, we do still laugh about it. The fireworks were amazing and we were so close, all in all a fab evening.
Hi Mike, thanks to you both for all the great info - we managed to get over to Saborea Festival and even saw them 'ronqueando' the 240kg tuna! Quick question - have you done (or could you do) anything on autonomous regions and why the Canary Islands have their own flag? 🇮🇨
@@LanzaroteInformation Yes, sorry buddy, I didn't word it very well - I found it interesting as I lived 'en la peninsula' for 6 years, I speak fluent Spanish and I've visited several Canary Islands on multiple occasions, but I've only just realised the thing with the flags and the autonomous regions after speaking to a lady doing a tourism survey at the airport. I started doing a bit of digging into it, but figured you'd be able to articulate it far more eloquently than the multiple websites I was trawling through 😁
Love the videos, you mentioned something about the buses in a recent video, I had to get the bus from PDC to IKEA in Arrecieffe today, every bus was packed, the locals were very vocal and not happy, any idea what's going on?
We are regulars in PDC and unfortunately the bus situation is only getting worse. Last year our bus to Arrecife was packed and the AC couldn't cope, resulting in a medical emergency when a poor guy collapsed. We were there a few weeks ago on the same bus service and nothing has changed. The drivers shout for the standing passengers to squeeze back to cram more people on. I'm not sure if anything is being done about this but we probably wont use the bus service again until it's improved. Shame as it's the only negative thing about a fantastic place.
Over to PDC on Boxing Day until the 4th of January

Will do, but all 17 autonomous regions of Spain have their own flag.
