Great video Mike. Having looked across to the island numerous times over the years, I hadn’t realised that there was a lot more there than I thought. One day we will get to visit. Looks lovely 😊

Mike, really enjoy all your posts, and ask if you would consider doing a piece on Shrove Tuesday and Lanzerotian festival before Lent/ Ash Wednesday ( I believe All Spanish communities Venice/ New Orleans/ Brazil have carnival in preparation for 40 days of temperance. ......then explain why fireworks are used outside churches, on feast days/ tradition? Many thanks. Liam

That period here is all about carnival, and for sure, we’ll be making videos of carnival here next year. If you search within our channel, you’ll see we’ve made a few over the years. Fireworks are just part of life here - any excuse to make some noise! lanzaroteinformation.co.uk/what-is-carnival-in-lanzarote/

Hi Mike, we visited La Graciosa back in April during our stay in Charco del Palo. As you described the ferry crossing is a bit 'choppy' as you leave Orzola but then calms down giving fantastic views across to the Mirador del Rio which is really well hidden away in the rock face. Our reason for visiting was to go to Playa de la Concha and I had been led to believe from web info that it was possible to walk there naked once you had cleared Caleta de Sabo. The police however took a very different view on this after they apprehended us at the roadside and made it very clear (with google translate) that nudity on La Graciosa is not permitted even on the beaches. Lesson learned and with a big apology we carried on our way. La concha was as stunning as the images we'd seen on the internet and despite our brush with the law it was a fantastic day trip. The barraquitos we had once back in Caleta de Sabo were definitely well deserved!

Me and a girlfriend slept the night, naked under the stars on Concha beach. A beautiful experience but the park police came by in the morning. They were very polite but we were warned not to do it again, even fully clothed!

Brilliant video, we were thinking of going when we are back in Lanzarote in 3 weeks time, the E-bikes look a great option, would you say that there should be some free this time of year and do you know rough cost?
