I think the main reason you don't have more subs and views is that vintage is very nieche. If you played Modern or Standard I think you could probably compete with the most popular creators there. Not saying you should pivot, everyone should play the format they enjoy, but I think it's more of a Vintage problem than a Justin problem that some other channels are bigger. I like the Vintage though so I am happy you are doing what you are doing.
fully agree. and it's such a shame because vintage is such a cool format and with rental decks on mtgo it's actually affordable. but it's just not as big as the other formats
These games were played perfectly at every point. Peek magic. :)
It's so funny seeing various Vintage players opinion on Jewel as either being the most broken deck (as in the strongest) or the most broken deck (as in it doesn't function)
i was part of tajordans yorian oops 5-0 on the losing end, i was really hoping to get a real answer on why yorion
Hi, that’s me! I have pie charts and twitter posts I’d love to share if this post gets approved via RUclips algorithm
I'm in your youtube comments typing about the misplays you already know about to drive engagement. Am I interneting correctly?
That game 4 was hilarious, quality content.
The key to winning with Jewel is, in my understanding as a novice Jewel player, to just not queue into BUG
at 46:40 i was wondering "why not one ring + stand it up". then i saw the threeball play and thought "well i guess this works too since they cant take the jewels". how wrong i was 😂 standing up one ring seems right then, to play around boseiju?
In the Jewel MWI matchup, Jewel is the beatdown
round 4 was watching someone sink into stupor in real time
Hey man you had some misplays, did you get the memo about the TPS reports?
Fun league but where is the frog tribal you promised us!
Is there a reason for not running argentum masticore? the only way you get around a resolved null rod is to stupor it, and you need 2 stupors for lands unless you have academy
Urza’s Saga is the main counterplay to a resolved Null Rod, Argentum Masticore is a solid answer vs some decks but many Ouphe/Rod decks have FoV, Dismember, etc where Masticore trades 1-for-1 and doesn’t serve the anticipated function.
Have spoke with some of the Jewel Cabal and plan to be trying a Golos in this sort of slot 👀
I agree 3rd Dismember and 3rd FoN are undecided flex slots in this style of list
Masticore is really only good vs Shops and Lavinia IMO. Shops you are already quite favored against, and Lavinia decks play Plow. You’d be surprised how little Jewel loses to Null Rod - Saga and Wurm are both insane vs it. Masticore is just too narrow for the meta IMO
Op g1 tried to do a paper only maneuver on modo 😔
Why do shops not opt for candelabra?
this shops deck is combo oriented and already favored vs bazaar
@@IamActuallyLvL1 sorry- candelabra- got my cards mixed up haha
mostly win more hard to get good value off of.
Isn't this list exactly the same as the preMH3 version? If you cut Seagate Restoration then your blue count is exactly the same lol
Nope as I said in the video Jewel shops list continually had 15-16 blue cards for force and by playing 4 sink they are now on 19. Sea Gate was NEVER a 4 of in the deck even if its possible it should have been. And then there is the actual castablity and power of the spell on sink. Its a strong effect, fits the decks needs, and comes up frequently when pass the turns happen.
@@IamActuallyLvL1 huh, I guess I just always assumed jewel played 4 seagate
Just my opinion but I felt they always should have
Vintage is so loopsided.. Every time I try to watch, it feels so awkward
