Aside from the performance, every Tesla is the Ultimate Long Driving Machine. Such a comfortable drive with the help of Autopilot / FSD makes me stop for resting only every 180-200 miles instead of 120-150 miles with any ICE car. I just finished 1100 mile round trip to VA from MA, only two Supercharging stops needed each way, 20% to 80% charges took only 30 min. No wasting time, far less fatigue, half the cost of gasoline. No need to fly short distance anymore!
I wish Tesla introduced an affordable 3 row or even better, a minivan. I almost bought a model Y, but it doesn't have enough seats and space, bought an Odyssey instead.
Got a 2023 Standard model 3 this December that passed and I absolutely LOVE it!! If it was within my budget I would’ve loved to have gotten the more powerful faster version or perhaps a faster model Y but I don’t regret getting it one bit!
Just to clarify this is a Model Y Performance. Which is as fast as a 911 Carrera S in a 0-60. The regular Model Y Long Range is about as fast as Cayman S.
@@secpinenet : It's a Model Y Performance with upgrade including increased top speed from 135mph to 155mph, 21" Uberturbine Wheels, Lowered suspension, aluminum alloy pedels, carbon fiber spoiler, tow hitch, enhanced autopilot, full self driving capability & many more accessories. I am still looking forward to learn more & be able to use all features. But I would not dare to try the autopilot, I would not trust it with my life. The model Y Performance is worse on battery driving range since it is a 4 wheels drive & it has powerful Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive. My most favorite about it is that I don't need to put on a stop pedal. It automatically slowing down to stop once you let go off the acceleration pedal. I learn more & more as I drive everyday. One thing I really hate about it is that it would take me 30min at Tesla Domestic Charging Station to charge up to 60% of battery. The range indicated 240 miles total from 20% up to 80% of charge. It only last about 145 miles total before you have to charge the car again. Also it is not cheap to drive it. It is equal to a gas car at about 15 miles per galon.

I replaced the OEM 21" staggered tires/wheels for some 18s lightweight and smaller 245/50s tires (squared) on my 2022 MYP and it improved all my times by .1x seconds. A few times my DRAGY reported close to a .2-second reduction.
That car is amazing! My parents own one and it's crasy seeing all the 534HP at the same time! I super recomend that car and if you can't own one go for the Model 3 it's crasy too.
My long range Model Y is great and ices 95% of cars off the traffic lights, I love it. But my god is the ride firm! Manageable, but seriously firm. If Tesla can sort this out and help it ride bumps better and keep prices the same, they will obliterate the middle and high end SUV market. Unmentioned... The practicality of the storage is insane... It has about 70% extra storage to your standard SUV.
I was also lucky enough to have a model 3 performance for around 3 weeks and can confirm the ride on that is considerably more comfortable than the Y. In fact, I honestly think it’s the best car I’ve ever driven.
Had our Model Y Performance for 6 months now and love it. My wife's car. We call it Mommy Rocket:) Handling is OK not great due to weight and suspension.

I currently have an M3P that I tricked out (lowered, springs, wheels and wrapped. - not that wrapping affects performance) and the handling does NOT compare to the Porsche I traded in (2013 Porsche Panamera). Have also tracked 911’s and the difference is pretty stark. Credit to Tesla for creating the machines they have (it’s why I still have it), but let’s be clear, there are going to be some things it falls short on, and handling is one of them compared to other OEMs (the German brands in particular)
What's wrong with ICE vehicles? Most of us don't by car for drag racing. It's simply a tool to bring us from point A to point B. I was considering a model Y, but it's too small for our needs, no affordable 3 row EV as of now. The Kia EV9 would probably start around 65k-70k before markup. Ended up buy an Odyssey. We don't care if it's EV or ICE, as long as it's affordable and serve our need.

3000+ mile road trip last year with 3 kids two adults and a dog and everyone said it was the best vacation ever!

same tires on my 23 MYP. Dragy 0-60 times tested on regular roads, always 3.6x and best one was 3.55s verified. (No rollout)

Tesla fixed the ride with 2023 models. They now have confort suspension.

That Tesla could do a quarter mile in 2 seconds and I still will never buy one. The Model 3 and Y are two of the ugliest cars on the road. The Side and rear profiles are ok but geez the front end is just horrendous. It's almost like the designers were still working on it when Daddy Elon walked in and ordered them to production. The Model S and X at least have a presence about them. 3 and Y just look cheap
