Dig the concept. Would be good to see more detailed examples of categories, ie: 1. Food - State some of restaurants and what items they served that are unique; table availability 2. Park - How many parks, small, med, large; any special or unique features you really liked; were boxes sticky? 3. Terrain - What were the fun spots, hidden gems, how were the tree runs 4. Ease of access - How far from airport Keep up the good work!
Food in PC is top class, although be prepared... it is far from cheap, even outside of the resorts. Park City is very luxury in general (average income is over like 300k a year). Want the best terrain? drive 40 mins to snowbird. 40 mins from the airport due east. Also note, which I am surprised he did not cover... ticket prices. Ticket prices are above average in PC. $150-200 dollars a day.
I work here and i agree with pretty much everything. A big tip i can give is STAY ON ONE SIDE. Spend a whole day at Park city and a full day at canyons. The quicksilver gondola closes very early and unless you're good at double blacks, the gondola takes a long time. The view is very "blue balls" if you know the wasatch range. You can see very tops of cool looking mountains and the edges of lakes but can't get the whole thing. I can tell you most employees here are about friendly efficiency. Ticket scanners and lift ops are super nice when you talk to them but you don't have the time to do that when there's a 30 minute line for crescent. Same with restaurants too. Spot on review
Correction! Normally park city day passes are $150 - $180. Sometimes $200. depending how far in advance and what day you choose to buy/ book it. Also You should do a review of Brighton resort or powder mountain. Two great resorts here in UTAH
This is my home resort! I started at the canyons when it was just the canyons so it’s by far my favorite place to go! Great review!! Only thing is accessibility should be a 10 and I’ve never been to a resort with half as many options as park city for food! Food should be a ten! I’ve been there six years and I’ve never had a problem with employees I would say a 7 for employees but I agree with your reason!👍👍👍 whistler next?!?
I went out there right before covid and it so so fucking dope. That place is so huge you could probably go every day and find something new every time.
I'm a local and it's my 3rd season this year. Yep you were pretty spot on with everything! PC is like the Walmart of Utah resorts. They have EVERYTHING like you said. The lower quality would be with it's snow accumulation. PC usually gets the end of the storms so the other (smaller) resorts nearby get more snow, more often. PC is very popular with the families and has enough for all skill levels. You wouldn't be disappointed if you booked a vacation here. But don't, because I don't want more tourists😜
I totally agree! It takes me 2 1/2 hours to drive a two lane road from my house to Crystal Mountain OR 45 minutes to the airport and a 100 minute plane ride to SLC. It takes me 80-90 minutes to get from touchdown to the Payday chairlift. I used to ski for free on the old Quick Draw promotion.
Lived in CO, now in WA. Park City is my favorite for family ski trips. Comparable to Breck, it’s a great all-rounder with an entertaining town and sick terrain. Affordable lodging o’plenty and easy access from SLC. Uber from the airport and ride the bus around town. Still so many resorts to try! Keep the reviews coming!
If you’re wanting to go to a new mountain in utah I high suggest Powder Mountain. They limit it to 1500 people a day and it’s more locally owned. On top of that they don’t do man made snow they wait for it to get dumped on. Highly recommend it
The Canyons Base only has two lifts to get you up & out of the base. Both lifts are susceptible to wind holds. This makes for very long waits to start your day. Start at the Park City side if possible. (42 year local)
If I am looking for the best place to ride a terrain park, between Woodward Park City and the main Park City Ski resort, which one is better for park? Big jumps, powder jumps, rails, etc.?
I’m going there this spring. I heard it’s not great in spring but I had to work around my buddies schedule. Also I’ll be going as a skier this year instead of a snowboarder 🫣
one thing - I don’t think park city should be a 10 in lifts for one reason only. The dream catcher area is only fixed grip lifts, meaning that the only way to park city to canyons is on a super slow long fixed grip chair, right in the middle of the entire resort. A 9 would be fine, but that small area holds it back in my opinion.
I grew up skiing/boarding park city and loved it, however as an adult with kids went back a few times and was not happy with the managements treatment. Our son took off after ski school to go up the lift while I was getting the report on how he did and management was ready to blacklist us because our son was lost on the slopes for 30 min. Never went back! You should do review of Big sky montana it is the BEST family place to ski with ski in ski out homes all over and so much wide open space and trails and lifts it will blow your mind!
One thing I think you forget to mention in these videos is how easy is it to travel via airplane. How easy is it to get plane rides to the resorts? What about public transportation (if possible). That's kind of the main thing I look for when traveling to a resort.
Nice review and summary of park city! I’m heading there next weekend. I was in vail a few weeks ago and loved Blue Sky Basin. Is there any part of Park City that is similar that you would recommend? Also, are there any other US resorts that have something similar to blue sky basin? I’m going to watch the other reviews to get your opinions on other parts of the US. Great job and keep the reviews going! Very helpful!
For the first one. Pricing is not bad if you live close to park city or other vale resorts and you go a lot. If you don't go a lot then I agree pricing would be a little to much
You should try whitefish mountain, it's cheap and the best tree skiing I've ever done. The park is terrible though. Or if you like steep bowls try Big Sky.
You should try Terry Peak in South Dakota! It’s not super huge at all but it’s still rad. We don’t really have big mountains here but I’m very happy with what they made out of it!
I’m going to park city in a month so I’m really just watching to get an review on how fun it would be for me, I’m 14 years old so I’m hoping this is going to be fun.
Great vid, but I feel like since you don’t rent gear, your employees score doesn’t really get a chance to be great. How much do you interact with them?
I’d say the review was somewhat accurate, but as a local who’s seen the transformation and disrespect towards locals that has come since Vail took over, I’ll always have a bit of a chip on my shoulder towards Park City. However, it’s a good video. Please do some more Utah reviews such as Brighton and Snowbird!
Powder mountain is the best place I’ve ever been. Almost as much skiable terrain as park city accessed by 6 lifts compared to park city’s like 100. And soooo much cheaper
As a Park City native I was ready to hate your review. But you’re on point. You’re wrong with views though. You skied the canyons side, try the views off McKonkeys. The would I go back “6” I loved. Please keep pushing that and go to 2 next year:) We have enough visitors.
Transportation should be a 10. You have Uber, Lyft, UTA (Utah Transit Authority), and rental car options from SLC International Airport. In the city limits of PC, you have access to a bus system throughout PC that is free on entry. Lodging... 9.. seriously... Have you NOT been to DV with incredible lodging options that can be accessed easily by PC Public Transit, Uber, Lyft, and your car rental? Food: It should be a 9 or 10. A few local restaurants here have been featured in Diners, Drive-in’s, and Dives. Views... a field?? It’s farmland in the Snyderville Basin with some trails that can be seen if you’re at canyons and see the “field.” Just beyond that is Round Valley, open access recreational land for hiking, trail running, snowshoe, Nordic, horseback, MTB, fat and tire with 30-40 or so of trails. I have a pano from Round Valley facing the Wasatch Back which will change your mind. Ps. I’m a PC local.
@johnathanbuckhouse Check out United Slopes of America. You should recreate something like that. Would love to see your take on several resorts in a region, in a "movie style" vlog. Also curious what kind of riding level you think is needed to take on Silverton. Cheers!
Yo it would be sick if you went to park city but you should definitely go to snowbird a few times the video at Snowbird last year was probably the sickest of the season in my opinion

You should go back. They built a Woodward there
If Park City doesn't get 10 for ease of access I can't imagine any resort getting a 10.
Banff
Brent Ruhkamp Ive been there
Hyland hills is right in the city so that’s a 10
Sun valley ski resort, Ketchum Idaho
The only way to get a 10 ease of access is an airport terminal at the mountain i guess
Dig the concept. Would be good to see more detailed examples of categories, ie:

you should try going to canada when borders open back up. it’s worth it especially in the west coast
I want to so bad!!
Banff and lake Louis are must hits!
How are the lodging options up there?
@@robertberin4872 depends there are some great lodge in town but it seemed like there wasn’t much right on the mountain
They built a Woodward there
Not at park city resort tho. Just in PC
they have a woodward Park City

I’m going to park city for spring break. Thanks bro this helps
Do Mammoth Mountain!!!!
Mammoth mountain is insane!
This is my favorite series of yours. Looking forward to more.
You guys need to head out to Big Sky in Montana. Its amazing!!
I think you should do cariinthia or whistler
The border needs to open up before he can go to Whistler unfortunately.
Whistler
You should do Crystal mountain.

Love the video! Are you planning on doing a resort review on either Mt. Bachelor, Oregon. Or Timberline, Mt. Hood?
He said he’s gonna do 2 different reviews for timberline. He’s gonna do a normal review and then a summer review. Not sure about bachelor

100%
What part of park city is the bubble lift located? I hate heights lol.
Would love if you can add under terrain if you think the resort is good for beginners or more intermediate/advanced
Parking paid over there? Road to SLC get bad in the winter?
Hey man how do you like your goggles I’m thinking of getting them
Have you been to cascade mountain up in Wisconsin
Just got back from canyons
And it was amazing
Just not much snow
And most of the trails were not open
When are you releasing a big evolution sticker for the truck window, or to put it on the whole side of my new truck camper.
It’s available right now! Check the sticker link
BRIGHTON!!!! So so so so much better than park city. Better park more snow less people
You should try whitefish mountain, it's cheap and the best tree skiing I've ever done.
The park is terrible though.
Or if you like steep bowls try Big Sky.
Maybe an unpopular opinion but a Green Bay Packers inspired keep evolving sticker would be amazing!! GOPACKGO!!
Yes!! Do this!
I’m heading to PC in Feb. 2021. Are the logs/restaurants open for indoor lunch/dining during the pandemic?
Yes, some of them just require a reservation
Try Powder Mountain! Love it there..Biggest resort in north America and they have a daily ticket limit so plenty of space🙏🏽🏂

Im heading there in January and be getting 2 1/2 days of riding. wish i could stay longer
