    I have had this for a few years, 24/7 also partial numbness, I have found duloxetine has helped immensely to calm the nerves and the twitching has almost completely stopped. I hope this information can help someone get some relief.

    I had twitching for more than 7 months , did all vitamin and minerals test all normal, finally seen a doctor and I did all these test. Lipid profile, HBA1C , Thyroid, FBC , Electrolyte, Creatine, urine creatinine, LFT . Among all these test I did, my HBAIC was at the border line. I cut carb and eat veges now the twitching had reduced , Hardly have them.

      @@cu9521 you had these twitches come on due to a disc sciatica issue?

  • @mrdanni
    @mrdanni 8 месяцев назад +3

    I have this.
    MRI diagnosed L5-S1 disc herniation 2 years ago, at this time I had 3 sciatic flare ups that lasted 2 weeks each time where I couldn't even move and had to lie on the floor everyday and not move.
    Took a whole year for sensation in my leg to come back and functionality of my toes, unfortunately I did love some functionality in my calf and hamstring permanently.
    After an extremely stressful time about 3 months ago this started happening to my left calf, occasionally happens in the hamstring too (all the places that were affected by my sciatica when it went crazy).
    Sucks...

    • @harduse2184
      @harduse2184 7 месяцев назад

      I also have this, same situation as you but my sciatica was back in 2017. I lived with the twitches 6 years as it was manageable but fab last year it got worse, now live with it by the hour. Have you had any luck reducing it with motion, drugs, food?? I have tried an awful lot of things.

  • @seanmurray8439
    @seanmurray8439 6 месяцев назад +2

    Do not know if the two are connected but I developed outer thigh/outer calf fasciculations in the aftermath of recovery from a sciatic episode in 2017. Brought by compressing the sciatic nerve via too much pressure with a TP ball, as trying to get rid of an upper glute trigger point. Managed to improve outer thigh fasciculation with scraping technique. The outer calf not so much although the intensity of the outer calf fasciculations are nowhere near as strong or problematic as when first started.
    What was odd was that I started to get months/years after fasciculations began to start on the inner calf...and the intensity increased there as the outer calf intensity lessened.
    NHS after MRI focused on old L5-S1 nerve disc tear and that fusion, pain killers or live with it, as only options. Told em I've managed disc tear for years fine with nothing more than a bit of neural tension. Seemed over focused on structural issue vs poss soft tissue restrictions somewhere.
    Tried aggressive scraping therapy. Tried osteopath..Tried trad physio..none had desired effect or were able to confirm if nerve entrapped/irritated somewhere along the pathway.
