Exposing Bassem Youssef's Lies About Israel

  • Bassem Youssef's recent remarks on Israel have sparked significant controversy. In a radio interview, Youssef dismissed questions about Israel's right to exist. This stance is deeply troubling. The question of Israel's right to exist is vital, especially given its unique position as the most threatened nation state globally.
The refusal to answer this question transparently reveals a hidden agenda. Many who claim to support Palestinian rights are, in reality, endorsing groups like Hamas that seek Israel's annihilation. Youssef's confusion between individual Palestinian rights and the recognition of a Palestinian state is concerning. Acknowledging Israel's right to exist is essential for any progress toward a Palestinian state. The insistence on asking these questions exposes those who avoid them. It's crucial to distinguish between genuine criticism of Israel and calls for its destruction. Bassem Youssef's refusal to engage honestly on this issue highlights a dangerous trend among those who mask anti-Israel sentiments as pro-Palestinian activism.

Very similar to Bassem's performance on Triggernometry: utterly unresponsive to nearly every question. Instead he wasted time asking why questions are asked, ironically claiming that it was all a waste of time. Bassem is a comedian. His whole existence is a waste of time by that metric. "This conversation will not result in peace in the middle east. We'd better not have it." He has Israel Derangement Syndrome.

Isn’t the Name “Palestine” an insult to jewish people in the first place, after the Phillistines, it had a different name before the late 40s as I understand. If true, it’s proof Jews 100% have a claim to the land, which they do anyway.

    • @ellep2290
      @ellep2290 21 день назад +2

I think it's a name for a region that the Roman's came up with because the disliked the jews. From my understanding it was under British mandate, and before that it was under the Ottoman empire. The people that lived there were tribes, not any unified country within an empire.

    • @freyatilly
      @freyatilly 21 день назад +3

Yes the Jews are the people of that land. But the Philistines were from the Minoan, Aegean and North mediteranian Island communities. The sea peoples.
The Arabs from the sandy Arabian peninsula are colonialists who raided the Lavant coast with their new Islamic ideology in late 7th Century CE.
They aren't the Philistines (meaning sea Invaders).
But the some Arabic people adopted the philistini name in 1964 as part of an anti America/Israel campaign. It was originally set up as a cold war Soviet attempt to purge the American influence in the region by creating a culture war. So Israel and neo-Palestinians are the pawns. And Its still going on...

I encourage you to continue doing this, but I also recommend breaking the videos into shorter ones, so more people might watch and share. I have watched several of your podcasts and live streams, and when they are 1 hour or longer, they may not get as many views as a 10 minute video that may be shared on Facebook or other platforms. So, please consider making more, but shorter, where you focus on the tactic the opposition is using and then give your best responses or counter arguments etc. Thanks and subscribed, and will share your videos on social media too .

Islam is indeed a religion of peace which teaches no offensive violence but only provisions of self-defense in times of war. Of course, that is a lie. Their so-called holy book, the Quran, is very much clear on how to please their Allah by neutralizing those who do not believe in him as well as who defy the Islamic religion. Below are the verses from their religious book and it is up for everyone to scrutinize the texts.
    Quran (2:191-193)-
NOTE: The Translation is from the Noble Quran. The verse prior to this (190) refers to “fighting for the cause of Allah those who fight you” leading some to claim that the entire passage refers to a defensive war in which Muslims are defending their homes and families. The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, however, since Muhammad and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries. In fact, the verses urge offensive warfare, in that Muslims are to drive Meccans out of their own city (which they later did). Verse 190 thus means to fight those who offer resistance to Allah’s rule (ie. Muslim conquest). The use of the word “persecution” by some Muslim translators is disingenuous - the actual Arabic words for persecution (idtihad) - and oppression are not used instead of fitna. Fitna can mean disbelief, or the disorder that results from unbelief or temptation. A strict translation is ‘sedition,’ meaning rebellion against authority (the authority being Allah). This is certainly what is meant in this context since the violence is explicitly commissioned “until religion is for Allah” - ie. unbelievers desist in their unbelief. [These notes have been modified slightly after a critic misinterpreted our language. Verse 193 plainly says that ‘fighting‘ is sanctioned even if the fitna ‘ceases’. This is about religious order, not real persecution.]
    Quran (2:244) -
NOTE: Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time. From the Hadith, we know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot.
    Quran (3:56) -
    Quran (3:151) -
NOTE: This speaks directly of polytheists, yet it also includes Christians, since they believe in the Trinity (ie. what Muhammad incorrectly believed to be ‘joining companions to Allah’).
    Quran (4:74) -
NOTE: The martyrs of Islam are unlike the early Christians, who were led meekly to the slaughter. These Muslims are killed in battle as they attempt to inflict death and destruction for the cause of Allah. This is the theological basis for today’s suicide bombers.
    Quran (4:76) -
    Quran (4:89) -
    Quran (4:95) -
NOTE: This passage criticizes “peaceful” Muslims who do not join in the violence, letting them know that they are less worthy in Allah’s eyes. It also demolishes the modern myth that “Jihad” doesn’t mean holy war in the Quran, but rather a spiritual struggle. Not only is this Arabic word (mujahiduna) used in this passage, but it is clearly not referring to anything spiritual, since the physically disabled are given exemption. [The Hadith reveals the context of the passage to be in response to a blind man’s protest that he is unable to engage in Jihad, which would not make sense if it meant an internal struggle.]
    Quran (4:104) -
NOTE: Is pursuing an injured and retreating enemy really an act of self-defense?
    Quran (5:33) -
    Quran (8:12) -
NOTE: No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle. The targets of violence are “those who disbelieve” - further defined in the next verse (13) as “defy and disobey Allah.” Nothing is said about self-defense. In fact, the verses in sura 8 were narrated shortly after a battle provoked by Muhammad, who had been trying to attack a lightly-armed caravan to steal goods belonging to other people.
    Quran (8:15-16)-
    Quran (8:39) -
NOTE: Some translations interpret “fitna” as “persecution“, but the traditional understanding of this word is not supported by the historical context (See notes for 2:193). The Meccans were simply refusing Muhammad access to their city during Haj. Other Muslims were allowed to travel there - just not as an armed group, since Muhammad had declared war on Mecca prior to his eviction. The Meccans were also acting in defense of their religion, as it was Muhammad’s intention to destroy their idols and establish Islam by force (which he later did). Hence the critical part of this verse is to fight until “religion is only for Allah“, meaning that the true justification of violence was the unbelief of the opposition. According to the Sira (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 324) Muhammad further explains that “Allah must have no rivals.“
    Quran (8:57) -
    Quran (8:67) -
    Quran (8:59-60) -
NOTE: As Ibn Kathir puts it in his tafsir on this passage, “Allah commands Muslims to prepare for war against disbelievers, as much as possible, according to affordability and availability.”
    Quran (8:65) -
    Quran (9:5) -
NOTE: According to this verse, the best way of staying safe from Muslim violence at the time of Muhammad was to convert to Islam: prayer (salat) and the poor tax (zakat) are among the religion’s Five Pillars. The popular claim that the Quran only inspires violence within the context of self-defense is seriously challenged by this passage as well, since the Muslims to whom it was written were obviously not under attack. Had they been, then there would have been no waiting period (earlier verses make it a duty for Muslims to fight in self-defense, even during the sacred months). The historical context is Mecca after the idolaters were subjugated by Muhammad and posed no threat. Once the Muslims had power, they violently evicted those unbelievers who would not convert.
Furthermore, the verse says to fight unbelievers “wherever you find them“. Even if the context is a time of battle (which it was not) the reading appears to sanction attacks against those “unbelievers” who are not on the battlefield.
    Quran (9:14) -
NOTE: Humiliating and hurting non-believers not only has the blessing of Allah, but it is ordered as a means of carrying out his punishment and even “heals” the hearts of Muslims.
    Quran (9:20) -
NOTE: The Arabic word interpreted as “striving” in this verse is the same root as “Jihad“. The context is obviously holy war.
    Quran (9:29) -
NOTE: The “People of the Book” refers to Christians and Jews. According to this verse, they are to be violently subjugated, with the sole justification being their religious status. Verse 9:33 tells Muslims that Allah has charted them to make Islam “superior over all religions.” This chapter was one of the final “revelations” from Allah and it set in motion the tenacious military expansion, in which Muhammad’s companions managed to conquer two-thirds of the Christian world in the next 100 years. Islam is intended to dominate all other people and faiths.
    Quran (9:30) -
    Quran (9:38-39) -
NOTE: This is a warning to those who refuse to fight, that they will be punished with Hell.
    Quran (9:41-42)-
NOTE: This contradicts the myth that Muslims are to fight only in self-defense, since the wording implies that battle will be waged a long distance from home (in another country and - in this case - on Christian soil, according to the historians).
    Quran (9:111) -
NOTE: How does the Quran define a true believer? See Quran (9:123) - “O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness.”
    Quran (17:16) -
NOTE that the crime is moral transgression, and the punishment is “utter destruction.”
    Quran (18:65-81) -
NOTE: This parable along with verse 58:22 is a major reason that honor killing is sanctioned by Sharia. Reliance of the Traveler (Umdat al-Saliq) says that punishment for murder is not applicable when a parent or grandparent kills their offspring (o.1.12).
    Quran (21:44) -
    Quran (25:52) -
NOTE: The root for Jihad is used twice in this verse - although it may not have been referring to Holy War when narrated, since it was prior to the hijra at Mecca. The “it” at the end is thought to mean the Quran. Thus the verse may have originally meant a non-violent resistance to the ‘unbelievers.’ Obviously, this changed with the hijra. ‘Jihad’ after this is almost exclusively within a violent context.
    Quran (33:60-62) -
NOTE: This passage sanctions the slaughter (rendered “merciless” and “horrible murder” in other translations) against three groups: Hypocrites (Muslims who refuse to “fight in the way of Allah” (3:167) and hence don’t act as Muslims should), those with “diseased hearts” (which include Jews and Christians 5:51-52), and “alarmists” or “agitators who include those who merely speak out against Islam, according to Muhammad’s biographers. It is worth noting that the victims are to be sought out by Muslims, which is what today’s terrorists do. If this passage is meant merely to apply to the city of Medina, then it is unclear why it is included in Allah’s eternal word to Muslim generations.
NOW THE QUESTION for the People of the Cross would be: How long are they going to keep their eyes close and still believe on the Islamic propaganda that they are a religion of peace?

Yes. Not one Islamist ever has answered the very simple question of "do you condemn a terrorist act", basically using the excuse they shouldnt have to.
But yes, lets just stop thinning the conversation with this question that has no meaning to Bassam, and obviously to these two.
What they dont realise is that the question does have importance. And its not really the answer you give, more the if you will answer it, or if you are going to try to skirt around it so you dont have to answer honestly. It shows that you know its bad to support a terrorist organisation, but you are also not willing to condemn them, probably because you know your community would be very upset with you if you did. So instead you look like idiots running around like a headless chook. looking for a way to not have to say you dont condemn it.
If you thought it was good and righteous to support the terrorists, you would just say, "no, i donty condemn them, they were doing a good thing. If you think differently, you are the bad guy."
Its actually very very revealing when they do that skirting around answering a very simple question.
And this is exactly what Bassam is doing.

@@No_Use_For_A_Name So what if I don't condemn it? I certainly don't condone it. It's certainly not ongoing either, so my condemnation wouldn't be of any value in relation to what is happening rn other than perhaps justify it? You're not saying anything ground-break when you say you condemn evil. But when you do it in order to push toward a stop to the killing that is taking place I say it's much nobler and less deceitful. From a purely moral standpoint I wouldn't condemn the slave revolts that happened in the past. I wouldn't condone the acts that they committed which many would deem terrorist and barbaric. I can see why the weak and the oppressed can become violent and not be equally as guilt as if they were the opperressors. Doesn't take a PhD in ethics to understand.

      @No_Use_For_A_Name 18 дней назад

@j.r.r.tolkien8724 what do you mean it's not ongoing?
It's been ongoing the whole time, from both sides. It isn't just Israel going around killing Palestinians willy nilly, the conflict involves pretty much the whole of that region in one way or another, with Israel on the end of all sorts of attacks.
Pretty much the entirety of Israel's existence they've been under attack in one way or another.
Then they retaliate, then it keeps going, people die. But from some people it's only ever one side to point the finger at.
And mind you, high up Hamas members have promised the same over and over again.
So it's not at all like if Israel just stopped, there would be no more war or fighting or killing.
As I say, not willing to want to condemn a heinous brutal terror attack speaks as loudly as answering it either way, infact dancing around answering it tells more of a story, as I've said.
Saying you don't condone it is just wishy washy, if you follow it up with "why should I condemn it."
It's just showing that you don't want to offend the ummah, become an outcast. Fearing apostasy for criticising the ummah.
If people are doing bad things, it should be easy to call out.

    Coming to Chapter 1.
    1. You want to explain God using science. Can't be possible for a couple of reasons. God is not a lab rat. And you can't describe what a writer looks like using his research of astronomy. Besides, if you can't see the sun for 7 seconds straight, how do you expect to see its creator? Musa (pbuh) asked and he fainted but the mountain he was on was burned into ashes. Trying to help, just think like this, God is the divine species.
    2. You said some believe the scripture to be true. Why? Maybe the beginning of my comment is their support. They have seen enough to believe in.
    3. You said why can't we put God to the same rule of the creation. Lame logic. I have a refrigerator so why can't I freeze myself? Page 15.
In Chapter 2, you claimed documents are not self-authentic. For the Quran, you know your point is fallible. The Quran itself confirms its genuineness and authenticity. God Himself will take care of it from changing. For example,
    a. University of Birmingham has one of the oldest manuscripts of the Quran dated back to 1300 years ago. Same as the modern copy which I have on my phone. Just fonts are different.
    b. Every beginner in Islam learns there are 2 types of hadith. Weak and strong. There must be a chain of verified Muslims who have to provide the names of their teachers and their teachers. If one has a problem in their character, the link falls.
    c. A common misconception about chapter 18.86. It clearly says what Dhulker Nayen was seeing. Besides, why don't you open the weather app on your phone and see if it says sun set or sun rise?
    d. On page 18, you wanted to see some scientific discoveries of Islam from the modern era. Here are some.
    1. life came from water and the universe was joined together, Al Anbia 30.

      2. Calling something "smoke" isn't the same thing as saying it's gaslike, that only works if you're trying to make it work. The whole issue of the Quran's creation story is very problematic.
      3. The word "nur" doesn't mean "borrowed light", it simply means "light". Do candles and bonfires also give off "borrowed light"?
      4. Literally everything surrounding surah Yasin 38 disproves your claims about dhul qarnain and shows that the "sun's orbit" is the ordinary and unscientific belief that the sun rises and sets because it travels around the earth.
