My 11 year old child was chased by a group Muslim older lads and they pulled a knife out on him and tried to stab him in the eye, he was terrified and actually vomited with fear. I contacted the police as we had all the names, they did not come out for over a week, I’m sure a criminal offence should be dealt with asap, eventually they turned up but only to talk to my son and us, not writing any information or details or taking a statement from us, we gave the names of them involved. They said they will have to go talk to their superior and come back in a few days for further investigation, that was a year ago now, they didn’t come back or go visit the lads that did it let alone want to give us a chance to charge and make a complaint and statement. No crime number or investigation, absolutely nothing done for a serious crime. Iv not been contacted once since. Surely this is criminal behaviour from the police and against my and my kid’s rights as UK citizens.
