Indeed the commentary is top notch, what I really drawn to, is the seamless blend between wit & mockery, reminds a bit of Hunt's style back in his commentary years, scintillating I say.

It's a cool idea, but it's probably quite difficult to make an option that can fit multiple cars (or be made to fit most cars without too much effort)

Even with grosjean having come out largely unscathed, I do feel he was mostly lucky, even with all the modern safety implementations
some people have said its engineered luck, In terms of none of the safety features like the suit and halo failed and the fact he didnt get knocked out from the crash
@@NightmareDonut dude he went *UNDER* the barrier at a cool like 60mph in the blink of an eye, you cant tell me he was lucky because without that halo wed be having a close casket funeral instead of thanking our lucky stars hes pretty much ok (sorry nightmare didnt mean to respond to you)

I did everything right in this race, practiced, qualified in third then just binned it off on the first corner in the actual race 😂. Forgot the tyres were cold

Watching you work together with James and following centimeters apart was so satisfying.
Consider the fact that the closest M6 was 14 seconds away. It really doesn't seem like an ideal car for any track. Maybe a bit like a jack of all trades as in it's not ideal anywhere.
pretty much. i'd call it ideal at nurburgring if only for the fact you cant pass it due to being wide
I've got a BMW contract and I won at Monza, but I am a B class racer so... I did risk a lot because the third and the second were a Viper and an Aston Martin

@@thedave7760 You’re right. Much faster to pull than to push but that only works if you’re working together. To be fair, I guess it’s hard to communicate to other drivers to do this in the heat of a race but I believe the better drivers know.

2:55 "theres no chance of us catching" theres a fix for this in nascar racing, its called a bump draft, essentially, two drivers agree to work together, one in front cutting a slip stream through the air, one in back, using the slip stream to get more speed, and bumping the front car, transferring that speed to him, and in turn pulling the bump car along with him, its how nascar drivers close up massive gaps.
He got "The Max Verstappen Experience™ " on that race. Here you are mate, a car that's not quite fast enough to beat the top few and too fast to race the lower field. Sit right there for 15 laps and dream about a lunge in the last turn, would ya?
When you recognize a handful of drivers and there are a few who have more points on top of that you know it's gonna be an intense race.
What a great race, being able to work with the person infront of you is a very underrated skill

Observations:
- Should've included Vettel hanging over Parabolica commenting on lines somehow
- The Swiss guy unghosts about half a second after you entered him, very close to race over at that point
- It's both good and horrifying to know what people in lobbies worth ~120 more points than mine can be as clueless at racecraft as this. Never mind the multiple people just driving into the gravel on lap one
- I won this race (in a GT-R) and got my highest ever FIA score. I love Monza

You played it safe and took the 4th. It looked like there were plenty of times you could have passed Jaames and used him to push you towards 2nd place. By the time you decided you wanted to even think about making a move it was waaay too late. Great driving though, and I really love watching your videos regardless of the outcome.
You don’t know if James would play that part and try to overtake him back causing them both to slow down and get swallowed by the pack. He played it safe and got a real good result for bmw

@@Super_GT everybody just wanted to overtake in silly places slowing us down. Was annoying but stayed clean so was ok. Was like you, my only shot at the race.

@@thedave7760 Depends. In my situation I felt like I was slower than the Mercedes ahead so I would have slowed us back down by being ahead. But switch drafting definitely can work.
The viper actually got bumped by the Ford GT which sent the F1 to the shadowrealm
