True in terms of time attacking the nord but for racing, i dont think there's anyone who can master passing at the ring, unless you some goat who been running the nord ever since it was built...Gotta be some nurburgring 24hr demi fiend to be able to make overtaking at the ring effortless....
@@Bonde7280 just this afternoon I ran 2 laps in the Huracan (which has just clicked for some reason, found it so tricky to master) in 16:48 and honestly, it was like I was high, an indescribable feeling of joy. It’s amazing….
Barry R. is a wonderful guy, he never fails. You slip up, make a mistake, or get ahead of yourself and he’s right there to catch you when you fall. Truly the best of friends.
The more I learn about Barry, the more it seems that A LOT of guys are into grinding, many of them straight. Straight grind is always on Barry R.'s mind.
Steve just want to say I bought a PS5 and GT Sport now just because of your videos. So far it’s a massive upgrade over the Forza chaos. Thanks for the videos!
@@fettaheker personally the online really ruins the games for me. And the physics just feel kind of weird. I do wish GTS had as many tracks though, but I guess it just gives me more reason to be excited for GT7!
@@fettaheker the FM series is such a let down, they claim to be a SIM but it's 100% arcade, I'm glad we atleast have the horizon games. Really hope the next FM is more like GTS, going for more of a SIM feeling
Congrats! I just bought GTS for PS4 yesterday and wish I had picked it up sooner. It only cost me 8 bucks though and I already got all gold in driving school. Where did you find your PS5?
Man yeah I remember that 200 lapper round the ‘ring. I watched the stream, went to class, watched the stream, ate, watched the stream, went to bed, woke up and watched the stream some more. Epic. Hope those kids are doing well.
The running jokes you make with each video makes these videos so enjoyable to watch and listen to. I dont even play Grand Trismo. I just enjoy racing and your commentary
These races were downright fantastic to watch ! What a pleasure to see some max attack driving with your commentary and your intelligence. That move on the long straight where the dude in the green porsche let you go was epic.
I actually enjoy this circuit. I remember learning it back when Forza 7 first came out. A few hours of learning and watching youtube tutorials and I now feel relatively comfortable on this track.
Your commentary has me rolling. Especially your first encounter with Barry R, and the other 2 in front of you that also had an encounter with Barry R 😂
most favorite track ever ! i drive on it daily (with the ford gt with a setup ive been working on for a loooong time to perfect it for the track ) but i love this track so much !
I really didn't like the track because I was used to the one in Assetto. This version of the Nordschleife is incredibly bumpy, unless it's just the physics in GT Sport. However, after learning the track more I definitely came to enjoy it. Though what constantly annoyed me is that everyone would slow down way too much for the over-hill left hander into Adenauer-Forst (after Foxhole). So I'd need to slow down massively, which often caused me to spin out.
When I get my wheel and pedals I really want to put in some 30-50+ lap sessions to burn it into my mind and develop muscle memory. It fells like being able to drive that track competitively put you on a entirely new and rare level. It feels so challenging but would be unbelievably rewarding to master.
The Mecedes challange in GT4 was it i guess, was one of the best things ive ever played (i mean over all games). It was a real challenge and u saw ur learning curve. There i used to love the track.
LOVE the Nordschliefe, especially in VR. usually i do at least a couple of VR laps every day. The 24-hr version, not so much, but still go for it when it comes up in the dailies. these are usually my best races...
Spent a lot of time going around this in the XR8 AU FORD race car back in the day,it was the track I tried out a lot of cars on that was in the GT games that I own
Me personally, I love using the Viper GTR, great break away speed and if you understand how the car's downforce impacts the cornering, you can practically slide thru the course
My favourite races to do in this game is custom 6 hour races at the Nurburgring and sarthe, in group 2/3 and group 1 cars, I’ll just sit there in the dark in my seat and just race for hours, with full penalties on, grid starts starting at the back and having tire and fuel modifiers on, my favourite tracks in the game
Personally I'm awful at races. Your radio voice and witty commentary makes it a daily pleasure to watch these videos. I definitely prefer gt over forza
love the green monster, feel like a newbie though after 5 years of racing with the good old controller, I have moved to the wheel and what a different feel it is. so i wont be on the ring any time soon
back in the PS3 days, my buddies and i would have a weekly night we would race on GT5 and the last race of the night would be 1 lap on the nurburgring , IN CARTS!!! it would take like 30 mins... it was bonkers. so much cussing and yelling, it was great fun!!! typically, this one guy would always be the first one to get knocked out of the slip stream, and then would go backwards on track and try an rams us going the right way round. man, those where the days.
i primarily raced Nürburgring exclusively on ps2, ps3 and ps4 out of the lobby, i've only recently started racing Sport.... i did exceptionally well on the nurb, suck bad on all other courses.
I know I haven't commented much. But I've seen a lot of your videos. Love the commentary. These videos of using underdog cars are awesome. COULD YOU use the gr. 3 lancer for one of these?
Thing about the nurburgring is that it's absolutely horrible until you're good at it, so it's miserable but also very rewarding
It's like mastering a cross-country route except it's around 100 km while the nurburgring is just 10 or so
First time you drive this track hard without crashing, just gives one of the best feelings of reward in simracing
True in terms of time attacking the nord but for racing, i dont think there's anyone who can master passing at the ring, unless you some goat who been running the nord ever since it was built...Gotta be some nurburgring 24hr demi fiend to be able to make overtaking at the ring effortless....

It’s the most rewarding circuit in the world for hotlapping. It’s also the ultimate test for everything a race car could be asked to do
Barry R. is a wonderful guy, he never fails. You slip up, make a mistake, or get ahead of yourself and he’s right there to catch you when you fall. Truly the best of friends.
Thanks for the race! That was fun!

That overtake at 13:45 was unbelievable!! GG

it was definitely a joy watching both of you race. Crazy outside overtakes.

Barry R is on Grindr
@Yuri Lopes XD You're a very experienced grinder then! No dates with Barry R. I hope? :-D

What's fun to watch as well is seeing people randomly trying to help SuperGT making good content for us to watch... Very decent community overall.

15:34 By far the best dive bomb of the year. CLEAN too.
I love Nürburgring, once you learn it it's absolutely the most fun you can have in this game especially in daily races.
Very hard to get going, but once started it just rolls!

Hands down my favorite track and race! Probably not yours Steve after those 200 laps for a great cause! Keep up the great work Steve 😎
Loving the cause, also he's a professional at it now (well... except the couple of visits to Barry R. and the second carousel)
What a star filled video, with features from Barry R, and Jermey Clarkson. And not even mentioned in the title!
That overtake on the Jag in the last race was delicious, brilliant mate. These videos are so soothing too for some reason. Content’s been top notch 👌🏼
13:40 the man the myth the legend. Pad driver, watching NASCAR while driving, GOTMAXPOWER....
really appreciating the consistent uploads, your racing and commentary has helped me transform from a crazy forza driver to a normal forza chad.
This track is just legendary
I just got the game, played my first online race, found my first rammer and finished 6th for the first and I said to myself "oh yeah, I watch SuperGt"
11:26 it‘s so sad that Sabine Schmitz has died already, she was an awesome driver and a very likeable person overall. RIP
"some people would say they see three bmws"😂 hilarious stuff mate, and what a coincidence that jeremy clarkson was in the same race
Absolutely- love it. Best combo in the games N24 + Gr3. Collected a bunch of podiums during week and had a blast.
The running jokes you make with each video makes these videos so enjoyable to watch and listen to. I dont even play Grand Trismo. I just enjoy racing and your commentary
Your 200 lap Nordschleife video was the first SuperGT video I watched, I've been watching your videos since! Keep up the good work dude

That pace you get on the nordschleife with traffic all around, very impressive
Man i love the outro, it's smooth and just gets me everytime.
I love it it's my favourite track as i consider it to be the hardest to drive with all those holes in the track.
By holes you mean spaniards? 🤣🤣
@@CHEVYbarracuda1 LMAO no I wouldn't mean those kinds of holes but the actual track having them xD
i love getting to the end of the video for the kick ass tune at the end :D great driving steve
